SMBX Online will get 2.0 support, but now.

Also, the bad wars between SMBX2 and 38A are incredible. People want to leave the SMBX community completly, because these fights.
Some people thought that SMBX2 and 38A can coexists. It would, if the wars would stop. Each world make levels with the application who he would prefer.
And in SMBX Online (if 2.0 support is added) everyone could upload their levels and play the other just with one click.

No, that's not what I mean. Even though Beta 4 isn't out yet, SMBX2 is objectively better for development than 38A. The fact that he prefers 38A for some crazy IPC functionality really makes me doubt his ability to develop software effectively.
That's right. I also have no idea why he decided to do 1.4 over 2.0, but I'm assuming it's because he's more familiar with 1.4.

IMO, 2.0 and 1.4 can co-exist, but I believe that 2.0 will just be the better version. The only thing that pushes me away from 1.4 is that I would have to go back to the legacy editor, which I don't want to do.

BTW, it does seem like you have released a download for it. So I will look at it and be able to judge it properly.

And most of the negative feedback seems to come from the fact that it seems like you are making a new SMBX forum, which, from SMBX's history, has not been a good thing. The best way of doing it would be to do it as something like Snessy's level portal suggestion rather than another forum, but of course I am going to have to download this in order to properly judge it.

I really don't really see the point of this being a seperate application and not just a website. I don't really see any reason for this to not be a website, in fact, making it a website would actually make it a bit better, since you wouldn't have to download a program to browse it. Also, making it a website would make browsing both the portal and forums at the same time easier.

There are people in this thread who have expressed interest in this idea:
On page 1, bossedit8 wrote:To be fair it looks neat
On page 1, arcade999 wrote:The project seems to be in a really early phase of developpement, so I won't judge the little problems, but intead, appreciate the idea behind the whole thing. The forum is great, but it's true that an online function to smbx would be even better for it, just like mario maker! :D
On page 2, glitch4 wrote:it's kinda neat thing
And likewise, there have been people who have provided feedback not related to 1.4:
On page 1, Enjl wrote:sounds like it's literally a smbx forum on an internet browser with less versatility and an unintuitive UI
On page 1, PixelPest wrote:Great job. You just poorly recreated an online forum. Even SMF's portal is better
On page 1, The0x539 wrote:[in response to 1.4 being better because it has IPC support] What is LunaTester?
On page 1, Electriking wrote:Also why are size level size limits removed for moderators? The factg that moderators have these kind of privilages makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
On page 1, Jayoshi wrote:The problem behind this project is that it says it's an integrated platform for SMBX, but it isn't. All it is at the moment is just another forked SMBX forum (which has never been good in SMBX's history) but with its own web browser so it's special somehow. It would have been better if the creator talked beforehand with 38A or the SMBX2 team beforehand so he could have used his time more wisely and created a functional, intuitive integration instead of a mediocre platform which is arbitrarily related to SMBX.
On page 1, PixelPest wrote:Why do you need more MEGA accounts from people? Are you not even hosting this on your own server? Also, what makes this any better than downloading levels from the forums to my computer (or my own cloud like Google Drive so it doesn't take up space on my computer)?
You have plenty of people who are mentioning things other than the fact that SMBX Online (currently) supports 1.4 exclusively. However, neither you nor Catskart have addressed them and their concerns properly. Assuming that everyone in this thread is hating on 1.4 just because of what a few people wrote is immature and doesn't make things better.

To be honest, know what'd be alot better? Making a thing that's similar to Mega Maker's online mode.

Update to v1.2.2.2.
Then it should work.
And if not, then open the config file and change the second line to "Version=68".

I'm going to add more features. Currently there are only the basics. I'm also going to add SMBX2 support.

This is for 1.4, just saying... maybe you should add that to your topic so no one will download it thinking its for 2.0

It says it's for 1.4 in the original post. Also, the creator said he will add support for 2.0 soon, so i don't think people need to worry about downloading it.
