Super Mario Bros. X Forums

As my first post, this is going to be tough, but I just want to come out and say it: there are times where I feel intimidated by the moderators. I mean, I know they are just doing their jobs, and I respect that. But from what I seen, they don't seem very friendly. It seems that all they do is tell people they have to lock their topic or tell them to get on task. I know you they are just enforcing the rules, but so far, I never saw them do something other than be the cop.Then again, I didn't really explore the forums all that much, so there maybe something I missed. Maybe you guys, or possibly even a moderator, could shed some light on this. I just hope you all understand.

We may enforce the rules - it's the whole point of being a moderator, after all - but we make regular posts all the time too. Please don't feel intimidated, we just want to have fun here like everyone else. Our goal as the staff isn't to be scary lawgivers, just to keep the forums running smoothly so that everyone can enjoy them equally.

Thank you for the warm welcome! It's nice to have enforcing yet fair moderators here. If we didn't, we would probably be like a certain other forum that had years of misguidance and chaos until finally shutting down for good, not naming any names, but I think you know the one.

Sarcasm aside, these forums would be hell without moderators. Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened to the previous forums. Also, I looked up "knux forums" and found a memorial forum. Is knux dead or do I have the wrong guy?

The Knuxforums no longer exist; they were closed and deleted by Knux in August of 2014. Someone opened an imitator forum under the same domain since then, but it's not the same as the original Knuxforums.

the mods might rule with an iron fist, but they keep the forums in tip top shape and we can respect and learn from that
however they could do more to show appreciation of the classic members such as myself

Yeah, the Knuxforums we refer to were hosted at knuckles96.prophpbb.com - the one you linked is totally unrelated to SMBX.

It is possible to be too lenient or too strict. But I think the mods here provide a very good balance.

I've been kind of afraid of them too lately, but if you act like there's wrong, they won't be snooping around much

It's good to have some staffs in the team who can have some fun with regular users also. I remember that once the staff did something funny and some people complained how they don't take their job as mods/admins serious and do this.

When mods try to be mature: OMFG these mods are robots that don't want to have fun
When mods try to make jokes: OMFG these mods are immature and unable to do their jobs

When I first came, I used to act like a rebel, I mean, I stopped, but I still thinking many things, even if I don't express them to don't have problems. As I first started in there, I felt like in north korea and it was really stressful, but now, I am not that angry, even if, I have to admit, I am alway scared when I wrote something by trying to have a ``correct`` descrption, for not to got a message saying the my message doesn't have anough description or that it is useless.

Good you changed, i heard rebels are usually getting shot at by the staff and then they die from the bullets.

I request that a moderator lock this. I think I understand now, and there should be no further discussion.

oh, but I still a rebel from the inside, just, I didn't express rebelity on the site to don't have problems, cuz I had anough like this in the past.

Actually, as long as you're following the rules. You'll be fine. Except if you shitposts to mods. Or ranting the mods. Or making fun of the mods. Or being racist to mods. Or being weirdest to the mods. I don't know. I'm not a psychic.
