Help To Write The History of SMBX (For documentary series)

One of the most depressing facts about the SMBX community is the severe lack of information regarding its history. Due to a lack of archiving, contradictary statements and virtually no recording of events, we know very little on how we got here today.
My aim here is to gather as much information as I can regarding the SMBX community, its forums, users, projects/levels/episodes, events, EVERYTHING that happened and then release a series of videos going through the years. Starting with 2009.
You can help, but right now I need to speak to users who have been around since the very beginning. Share everything you remember, know or have (levels/screenshots) from that time period. If you had specifics dates or what MONTH these events happened that would be extremely helpful. It's more than likely we will come across information that contradicts but we'll try our best to keep a good idea of the timeline of events. Feel free to post in this thread or message me. I already have a list of known events, but I must admit that list is pretty small.
As I said, I intend on doing a documentary-type series based on the history of SMBX, and we are focusing on the year 2009 right now. Let's do this!

I can go into more detail at a later time if you'd like, but here's a link to a write-up I made a couple of years ago regarding SMBX history. There are some inaccuracies that are pointed out by others later in the thread but it's pretty good I think: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=12801#p189579

I was the world's best moderator from March 2011 to March 2012, after which I peacefully resigned. Put that in your history book so my family will remember it.

I inadvertently triggered a chain of events that led to both feuds with the SMFE community.

A couple things I'd like to add to this:
2014:
- Mafia forum introduced
- DarkMatt was promoted shortly after the mod election due to (somewhat) popular demand.
2015:
- This thread happened which started out as a complete shitpost but turned into a huge drama fest.
- Shortly after the events following the We Need Change thread, a couple mods stepped down, and moderator applications were posted, in which me, Squishy Rex, and Mivixion were hired.
- Introductions forum is archived.
- Pseudo is promoted to admin.
2016:
- Spinda is promoted to mod.
- Mod applications are once again posted. Upon the conclusion, Joey makes an announcement stating he's stepping down as community leader, and me and Quill are promoted to admin, and JupiHornet, Intuition, Waddle Derp, and Kley are promoted to mod.
2017:
- April fools easter egg hunt

Also add to 2017: Mafia forum is shut down after what happened in M41
Let's talk about the future and what I believe to happen:
2017: 2.0 Beta 4 is released and leaves SMBX 1.4 in the dust
2018: 2.0 Beta 5 is released
Super Mario World at War is released
2019: 10 years of SMBX, Full release of 2.0 which includes all of the 1.4 NPCs, outcompeting and killing 1.4 in the process
The invasion 3 is released and included with the full release of 2.0
And I have no idea after that.

I like your predictions, I hope we won't wait so long for full release

I personally don't see TI3 as a pack in episode, since I expect it's gonna be pretty large. Also, what exactly happened in M41? I haven't really followed it.

Appearantly there was a lot of hostility, and the blue alliance were playing unfairly by killing Mafiosi without letting them be aware of their plans and allowing them to defend themselves (which is considered unfair even if they had been confirmed mafioso). Pseudo explained it here. So yeah, we have now been deprived of the opportunity to host or continue playing Mafia here, and we probably won't be playing any more Mafia anytime soon.

Well it is just a hiatus. If mafia ended permanently the forum would be archived

well, smbx once got taken down by nintendo for some reason and then someone by the name of 38a recreated smbx in teascript. later on smbx is about to have a 2.0 update, and now it is in the beta 3 state.
