None of my custom music is working in world maps. My world map file was recently corrupted and I had to make a new world map, but custom music worked in the old world map. Can anyone help me with this?

Custom music does not work in SMBX. You need to create a music.ini file to change the music there to get it to work.

I dont think you read the title. This is SMBX 2.0, which as an option for custom music in world maps, which I have used and had proper results before, but is now not functional.

music.ini is a SMBX2 feature. I believe custom map music is limited without it, though I may be wrong on that.

I tried using custom music in PGE my self and it didn't work. Were you testing with the alpha tester?

Can you explain what music.ini is?

Sorry for triple post, but I thought it might help if you guys see a picture.
The "[custom]" is what I am trying to use. It has worked fine with mp3 files before but has suddenly stopped working.

I am pretty sure that does not work on SMBX. You need to create a file called music.ini.

1. It can work, I've used it before, it's just not working now
2. What do I need to put in the music.ini file?

2. What do I need to put in the music.ini file?
1) I have never witnessed it work in SMBX itself (and I use 2.0)
2) Create the music.ini in the episode folder
An example of what the file should look like here: https://puu.sh/wl39N/b8dd29566c.ini

Have an example as of how The Restoration SMBX Episode did: And about the music.ini file, basically put it inside your episode's folder with it's contents of music files... the game basically reads it's file so they get replaced from regular default music to custom ones like these here on the folder. If you are still not sure how it's done check The Restoration's contents aka it's episode folder!

You should hover over the default music boxes and an ID number should come up. That number should match the number after the "world-music" part.

How about instead of a triple post, you hit the edit button on your latest contributing post to add more substance, rather than multiposting to bump your topic. Multiposting like tat is against the rules.

music.ini can be found in the _templates folder in newer versions of SMBX2. You can copy it over to the episode folder and replace the file paths for the world map.
