Do you feel the forums have changed you?

Do you feel like the forums have changed you as a person? I've definitely learned a lesson in respect and human decency, and can't help but cringe at my early posts. I wish I would have joined at a slightly older age, but then I wonder if it would have been any different. I was going through some very tough times when I first showed up here. It was pretty much all misery from 2015-2016. I even contemplated suicide at one point, and of the many things that kept me from putting a gun to my head, this forum was one of them.
I wonder how different my life would be had I not joined this forum when I did or joined at all for that matter. Have these forums affected you in any personal way?

I guess I'm better at making level than I was in 2015.

Maybe yes? Made some friends here like bossedit, Aristocrat, Spinda, Sorel
I probably became a evil person.

I fell like I've changed my mind from being a younger person last year until to the future. Recently, I'm kind of very kind and nice when I was a new member here and then somehow, I turned into wild and humorous but still a nice a person. Yes, I cringed on my earlier post when I was a new, I wasn't being specific last year, being happy, and not so serious that much and so on. I feel like the forums have changed me and I got my new personality.

When I used to sit in front of my PC and constantly refresh the SMBX forums to see new posts and topics from day to night, it definitely had a bad impact on me. And I still sometimes regret joining them because I wasted so much time for nothing. Levels, GFX packs, etc. Oh well... God is good.
But there's a bright side too: I got a lot of skills I didn't knew before.

Apparently in a good way it changed me, when we were doing English ISATS near the end if school, I got a high school senior reading level, so obviously reading what other people posted helps me learn more words

As someone who loves creating in general, it helped me gain motivation to make levels, but that's about it. I don't think I've participated in enough activies in this community for me to grow some real attachment to it. Maybe that'll change when I stop being lazy and actually start contributing.

I was aware of this community's existence at least as early as when LunaLua first became a thing, but until I started contributing to SMBX2's development most of my exposure to this place and the people in it was from occasional overlap with the talkhaus.
I've since made some cool friends, and I feel like the interactions I've had with them and other members here, as well as what I've learned about the overall design philosophies and community dynamics between the two forums, have helped me grow both as a game/level designer and a person.

Pretty much. I came to the community after being sick of being banned and abused on an older forum, and I found it a welcome reprieve, to be honest, so I decided to stay here. After taking up level reviewing and becoming a Level Judge back in the day, it's helped me improve as a level designer, but also improve my essay-writing skills without realising it (I sucked at those when I first joined), because my older level reviews were essentially essay analyses of the level. It was thanks to my level reviewing I managed to get a high grade in English back then.

Yeah, pretty much. I have changed a lot during my absence. This forums was one of the causes of the change ( not the cause of absence, now that's real life ) Looking at my older posts actually makes me cringe a bit. Heh.

Yes. this changed me actually from unfair critisism i made into a much in-depth critisism and much more sense. It's still a critisism though. Also i did good at building levels now. So, great! Hopefully i can do much better with LUA because i don't understand it. Still, i wanted to know about everything needed for LUA. Even if i'm still a few weeks here.

I've learned to be more comfortable in online spaces, I guess. This is the first forum I joined that I've been consistently active on, and I suppose that's helped me.

Yeah. These forums have changed me a bit. I cringe at my earlier posts though.
Didn't change the fact that I'm a gamer though.

I remembered being so annoying back when I first joined the forums back in 2014
(Back when I was NintendoOtaku93)! But not anymore!
