I can't drop item from drop box

Apparently, the SHIFT key drops the item, but neither SHIFT key is dropping the item. I've tried every key. Am I missing something? I'm using the 1.3 version.

That was it. Thanks. For some reason, there was no key set for the item drop, even though I've never messed with the controls. From the main menu, go to options then player 1 controls.
