I can't drop item from drop box

Apparently, the SHIFT key drops the item, but neither SHIFT key is dropping the item. I've tried every key. Am I missing something? I'm using the 1.3 version.

Check the controls, you may have accidentally changed it.
From the main menu, go to options then player 1 controls.

That was it. Thanks. For some reason, there was no key set for the item drop, even though I've never messed with the controls. Strange, but problem solved.
