Recently I started a personal project where I chronicle the most popular/best episodes and rank them based on my own personal opinion. I first started with the original Invasion by Redigit, but I'm wondering what the community regards as the best and most foundational episodes. I have a lot of respect for the SMBX community, especially after all these years, for being able to devote yourself to this fantastic game.

So which episodes set the standard for quality and which episodes overall provide the best experience?

The Great Castle Adventure

There's also the featured episodes (click on the pipe called "SMBX Worlds").

go to the episodes forum and look at the topics with the ice flowers on them. Those are usually very high quality. But not all of them. Most of them

I heard Super Mario Star Expedition was quite good though, but I haven't tried it :3

Man, you should. It still strikes to me as one of the most delicate episodes out there.
