President Trump pulled out of the Paris Accord. Since it wasn't a binding agreement, I'm not sure how much this really changes but the reactions that were sparked are reassuring. A lot of people are talking about climate change now, and what needs to be done. These two videos talk about the Paris Accord, and seem mostly balanced on the issue so give them a watch:
If for some reason you don't agree with the climate science I guess you can debate here, but this thread will be more directed to general discussion about climate change and how to respond to it.
Here's a wonderful playlist by a former science journalist, that goes through the myths and facts on the subject to inform yourself on the science: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... PfAIyI7VAP
I personally don't get why are so many people who don't care about climate change, I mean, OUR lives are concerned, THE WHOLE planet is concerned, and then, Donald Trump said that...it's an invention by the Chineses?! Wtf?! Donald trump is just so dumbass. I think the society shoud stop laughing of ecologists, because they are trying to SAVE the whole earth from pollution! I mean, WHEN will poeple UNDERSTAND that climate is important? When we will all be at 2 feets from the ecologic disaster?

Trump is shit in every way. Other countries said that they would make sure this is not the break up of the agreement.

he just had to draw attention to himself. he is legit the worlds most dickhead-ish man.
"oh wow! look, all of the world except 2 countries (with legitimate reasons why to not sign) signed some thingy to stop climate change! i better be a huge asshole and not sign it, not having a reason at all because america is super independent!"
more like "Make America trash again."

I don't give a rats ass about climate change. Just remember, the same guy in charge of the Paris accord said that "terrorism is part of our daily lives". He does not care about his people, he does not care about his country.
I don't like Trump all that much, but compared to people like Trudeau and Macron he's an absolute saint.

well when the world is coming to a dangerous state because of it, im sure you will. im not a crazy eco, and im not like a eco fighter or anything, but im just saying, its a bad thing and can affect the world very badly
It's easy to ignore climate change if you probably won't be around for its aftermath. Just because somebody who supports it said some dumb stuff doesn't mean everything else he says is invalid.

Except you shouldn't. Also Climate Change is already having negative impacts accross the world, so really we are already experiencing the early parts of the aftermath.
Al Gore said some inaccurate things in a movie and is a hypocrite, and some politicians have objectionable policies; therefor I can disregard all climate science and debunk concerns with my armchair analysis of warming trends in certain segments of time.
I wasn't defending climate change deniers/not-carers, sorry if I came across like that. I was voicing it as criticism of those kinds of people because they only care about themselves, not future generations. The changes made to one's lifestyle are not really all that major, but it can make a big difference.

It's people that act like this who will ultimately end up screwing the world over in some way
For 2000 years no body cared about climate change, the world didn't explode. Why is it suddenly so important? Climate change happens, but it's supposed to happen. The world is constantly changing, you can not stop it.
Everything we've done has been to further sustain the human race, go ahead and remove those factory's, only a few million people will starve to death.
You've gotta enjoy your life, if you constantly worry about things like this you'll die unhappy. You've gotta live your life to the fullest, because you don't know how much time you've got till its gone.

it wasnt affecting the world like it is today. its melting our polar ice caps, its starting wildfires, its raising food prices dramatically, its not helping endangered species at all, its causing our weather to become extreme, so on, so on, so on. there are so many reasons. yes, i do agree to live life to the fullest, but we can not just shrug this off as nothing. we cant. the more we shrug it off, the less longer the human race will have to live on earth. think about it.
