"The Emoji Movie is the best movie ever made. I cannot believe that one film could sum up all our lives, but it does. The film is terrible, bland, short, and boring, just like ourselves. Never would I have thought that a movie would make me reflect on my incredibly useless life, but The Emoji Movie did. The Emoji Movie shows us that we're all just trapped in our own world, we're useless, and we should only have one sole purpose. The film is too good for all our puny human brains to process, and it even made Kim Jong Un cry. If you don't like the film, it is because you don't understand the sheer beauty and perfection that the film delivers. Go clean up your dirty minds and keep watching it until you understand it. This film is an international treasure and should be shown to everyone."
this was such a brilliant move, they made the movie so bad that people would watch it just to see how bad it is, therefore increasing the money sony gets
^
The problem with this is that the movie seems to be very bad, but not quite bad or low production value enough to be good-bad, which most likely means that its badness isn't going to help it find success, in the present or in the long term.
Don't you lot realise that by being controversial they have effectively grabbed everybody's attention and made the movie relevant? Literally everybody is talking about this fucking movie.
If everybody ignored it, it would go away. It's free advertising otherwise.
After sitting through the whole 12-minute Mojicons video, "THIS ABOMINATION" feels like it could have easily been done by the makers of Futurama.
I can't help but suspect the video had a secret hint about stingray surveillance, but maybe I'm overthinking it. However, the last minute of the video hints that there's no such thing as bad press (which it seems is the case for Sony nowadays).

What's wrong with Futurama
Nothing. Futurama is excellent. It feels like the emoji craze is something they would have made jokes about.
It is the best thing to come from this beautiful earth emoji shaped planet. i have yet to watch it and from everything ive seen from it i already see that it is 10/10 ign. Thank god that we can like here while being blessed with this beautiful creation.
The movie has now fallen below the $1,000,000 a day mark on Box Office Mojo. My guess is that its worldwide total will be only about $120 million. Its production budget was only $50 million, but I still don't know how much was spent on advertising.
