It doesn't make sense because people who actually don't know could also use dots and "hmm"s. Here you're implying that the town knows who everyone is, which they obviously don't.

It doesn't make sense because people who actually don't know could also use dots and "hmm"s. Here you're implying that the town knows who everyone is, which they obviously don't.

Liars say "Hmm... I forgot" whereas truth tellers say "I forgot." Liars cannot create a lie out of the blue. Truth tellers know they forgot.
