Strange SMBX 1.4.4 Lag

Well the issue currently is that SMBX 1.4.4 lags, down to 20-25 FPS when played and the weird part is that it used to not lag at all. The levels i tested dont have much in them and minimal animated effects and all settings i tried dont do anything. Can someone help me on this?

? I got 1.4.4 a while ago and it worked perfectly fine. Now its been lagging for a few weeks even after ive been trying to fix it. (1.4.4 SMBX ITSELF is lagging.)

? I got 1.4.4 a while ago and it worked perfectly fine. Now its been lagging for a few weeks even after ive been trying to fix it. (1.4.4 SMBX ITSELF is lagging.)
Have you tried reinstalling SMBX 1.4.4?

Maybe your computer has a virus, is running out of memory, or it is old

My computer is virus free (i checked), its memory is plenty as its a pretty powerful computer and it was bought a year ago with the best ram and cpu I could get. (8GB Memory) and only 3 GB have been used.

Huh, you wont beleive this but when i turn on my XBOX controller (its hooked up to my pc using a special connector) it speeds up SMBX to 64-65FPS, weird.

I dont have any lakitus throwing lakitus XD\
(But i see why that would cause more lag)
