The idea of a Mario fic was bouncing around in my head for several years, but the challenge was trying to adapt elements from a platformer into a narrative format. In this case, I knew it had to be in the same type of mold that stuff like SAMURAI PIZZA CATS and BOBOBO were in, with some influences from DRAGON BALL as well.
During a routine save-the-princess-from-Bowser outing, Mario encounters an old enemy. The catch is that Luigi and Peach fought him before, except they didn't!
