I have an idea to make a Mario game for mobile. I thought why isn't SMBX on mobile phones? Then it hit me. I decided to make SMBX for Mobile. If there already is SMBX for mobile phones, let me know. If there isn't SMBX for mobile phones, find me an app maker.

I don't really know if this would work, for 5 reasons:
1) This would require a touchpad, which des not work well and is often hated
2) SMBX is a Windows game and therefore you would need to find a way to make it work on Android/IOS
3) These 2 versions probably won't be compatible
4) How are we supposed to download episodes that work with this version
5) It could be taken down by Nintendo or disapproved by Google/Apple

You can't just port SMBX to a mobile device, as that would require the source code which we don't have. PGE does have an Android version though, but it's really buggy and is more of a proof of concept rather than a proper port.

Solution for 1: We could use a joystick and buttons like on Roblox
Solution for 2: It could be in an APK.
No solution for 3
Solution for 4: Like MegaN64, it could reach into your epi. files. (A file I made up that could contain 1 episode.)
Solution for 5: The APK could be posted on MediaFire or Dropbox and the link would be here.

You can't just "put it in an apk". Programs don't work like that.

I know you cannot JUST put it in an APK, I should have told the guy I was quoting. I was going to make a separate app rather than the Windows version

1) That is what I mean by the touch pad. They don't work very well and many gamers hate them
2) As said already, you can't do that, and you saying you know that kind of contradicts this
3) And thus, it will become another 1.4, which is inferior to 2.0 anyway
4) And what about the .lvls and .wlds?
5) point #2 makes it not work

1. Okay, I admit that gamers may hate SMBX for Mobile for this. But they would just sum up an overall rating.
2. I am making a separate app.
No point for 3.
4. The levels and the maps would be stored in the episode files.
No point for 5.

PCs could be more expensive than phones.

Only Gaming PCs can be more expensive than phones. Even if they are not gaming, they can still handle SMBX.

Well to even get started one this you need to 1, Find the source code, 2 optimize it for mobile devices, 3 find a control scheme that works 4,Get permission to do this (if you need permission) and 5, find a way to edit GFX, and you've got a slightly inferior version of 2.0 for mobile devices.

Actually, I was thinking of version 1 (beta(for my separate app.)) It will look like 1.3.0.1

What if only your cell phone has internet and not your PC?
Then you are stupid. Every modern PC can connect to the internet, so either you have really old PC or a badly made one and you would genuinely be dumb to use such PCs.

I was asking if your PC cannot support internet. I use my phone to tether to my computer for internet. If you did not understand, then you are calling me stupid.

This is EXACTLY what King of Eterity was talking about. If your PC can't support internet, it is either really old or it is shit. Every modern PC can support internet. So I don't see how your argument counts here

yeah sure just make your own completely original version of SMBX because time has shown that those always get finished and are always really good

Not to mention that if that is the case then SMBX probably does not run well on it either.

Yeah I doubt that you'll have the time, motivation, or resources to do this well to a completed and usable state. Plus if you tried to monetize it you'd be in for it since all of Nintendo's stuff of copyrighted. And also unless you were to do it really well, I doubt anyone would use it anyway; it just doesn't make sense to do that kind of thing on a small mobile device when it's already fully available for on a computer
