This is verry long time ago.
Now SMBX 1.4.4 is very stable and includes much of interesting features.

Beta 4 was promised to add over 100 new NPCs. I prefer 2.0, but guys, let's please respect opinions. Not intending to be dead serious or boring, but you are going a bit too far with this. If anything, you are discouraging people to give 2.0 a go.

I mean 1.4 is pretty impressive, and to the best of my knowledge it's the only finished recreation of SMBX. 2.0 is better mostly because everything they're doing is open source and it's got full backwards compatibility.

I don't think you know what a mirror is in the context I was referring to earlier (it's just an alternate download for Beta 3, Beta 4 was never mentioned) and that has absolutely nothing to do with this topic afaik

There is no beta 4 download and there was no beta 4 download. It was an alternative beta 3. No beta 4 has ever been released.
