I just started my SMBX Youtube channel. I played an episode which used the music provided by SMBX.
Well I was checking and I saw that I got a copyright claim. Not a good way to start a channel right???
Then I checked the music used and it was :
Super Mario Bros_02 - Super Mario Bros
Sound recording
Claimant: Nintendo
Seriously... My video just got copyrighted for using the default music provided in the game.
So well I can easily edit the game files, but can`t anything be done???

Not always. YouTubers like bossedit8 edit the music to something else appropriate to avoid copyright, such as what he did in the top tiers for his ToB7 playthrough, and he may sometimes outright refuse to play a level that has copyrighted music, even if it's his. But there's no need to worry, because it just means that you can't monetise the video.

Ok, don't wanna look paranoid, but...
The thing is then, see, there is billions on YouTube channels. Billions of channels trying to get popular...
So actually, YouTube is trying to...eliminate channels. The least popular ones I mean.
To only keep youtubers like pewdiepie, cuz they are really popular and generate millions of dollars for YouTube.
So this is why, even if they break rules, they won't get deleted!
So, they are trying to eliminate small channels by exaggeratedly accusating them to violate the rules.
This is why youtubers like "I hate everything" are alway deleted from YouTube...to be de-deleted by YouTube with a shit excuses message, and I guess, this kind of situation is also because he is aigainest fandoms, wich are a big source of money for YouTube! But worst, it's also a crappy money making story, so this is also why YouTube is alway paranoid when you uses copyrighted things, like cuz they are scared of getting an injunction...even with fair uses! So any morons can just decide to claim coppyright on something they didn't even created.
I usually alter the audio a bit, such as lowering the volume, or changing the pitch or speed. Since YouTube's copyright system relies mostly on automated programs like bots or computers to find copyrighted material, almost all of the time they'll recognize audio or images that haven't been changed at all. Usually if you change the audio in some way, you might be able to get around the copyright claim.
Nintendo owns the rights to most of the music in SMBX, and they use Content ID to automatically flag any videos with Nintendo music in them. It's not an issue unless you want to monetize the video or don't want ads on your video.
If you just want to remove ads from your video, you can try including content that gets flagged for monetization by a different company. IIRC, if you do this, there will be no ads on your videos.

Youtube copyright claims are handled by an automated system that flags every single video with content that copyright owners wish to flag. This means that "fair use" (which is only a legal defense and does not stop anybody from flagging a video) is never taken into consideration. Your whole theory is just completely ridiculous.

If you do a little research, you will see that yes, youtube is really trying to eliminate unpopular channels, and yeah, they are only keeping the popular ones.
I have a little video about it, I know it's in french, but still, he is right.
You also seems to forget that youtube can ban itself videos, without even any reports cuz of bots, and yeah, they are ridiculously scared of any copyrighted things, even fair used one.

Did you even read what I said?
Apparently not, he still thinks that YouTube "removes small channels because they don't prove to be a worthy source of money."

Because it's true that YouTube is doing that, and yes, I read what zenithbreak said, and my theory is not "completely ridiculous", not counting that fact that it's not even a theory.

I doubt it. And also that video is probably made by other conspiracy nutjobs who aren't a reliable source. YouTube doesn't just randomly remove channels because they don't make YouTube money. It's an absurd and unjustified theory with absolutely no evidence to support it

Yeah, and if they were doing that, explain how my five year old channel with 133 subscribers is still active?

Because it really happened to some youtubers, like the guy who make the video, and MANY times, and also to tons of other youtubers.
Also mechdragon, it's not because it never happened to YOU that it never happened to anyones else.
Entity 303 is bullshit, herobrine is bullshit, slenderman is bullshit, wierdos thinking area 51 is hiding aliens and that the man never walked on the moon i bullshit, wierder dudes thinking Hillary Clinton is a reptillian is a big bullshit, but the fact that youtube is volunteerly deleting some channels because of ``copyright`` is NOT fake, and you can obviously see it, even if, yeah, it's totally shocking! Have you seene that guy who get his channel closed beause he uploaded a pokemon picture, cuz youtube tough it was...innapropriate! And have you ever see that youtube has a particular...tolerence to pewdiepie or other ``famous`` youtubers videos? This is because they generates money, so youtube are keeping them, even if they violate rules. Yes it's shocking, even I am shocked.
