Hello and welcome to my next level trying out. It's called "Escape From Hell" and unlike the Metroid Themed Boss Rush. I actually decided to take my time with this level and actually make a decent level.

UPDATE:
I took what was said in the replies seriously and fixed everything. Even added a couple more things, switched up enemy areas. There's still a couple flaws but in due time that'll be fixed as well. This level is open for anybody to add to a competition or a random series of fan-created levels. Oh and I connected the music.

Plot: The level is a mix between a boss rush and a normal mario level. No major theme except for escape. There's ton's of hidden items and hidden obstacles along the way. Plus 1 power star.

Screenshots: I took inspiration for this level from some pretty interesting people.
Of coarse Ross from Gamegrumps, but also Valtteri. Both people really know their stuff on how to make a good level as well as add some stuff in there to just anger and tick off the player. So it was some great inspiration.

I also choose to go with custom music with this. I went with an instrumental titled "The End" [kinda matches and fit's in with the plot and level] from the group Three 6 Mafia from their 2nd album of the same name.

It feels pretty reminiscent of the Pwnhammer levels from The Invasion, to be honest. I gave it a try, and I noticed that it's quite flat in a lot of places, and while you can fight the bosses, they somehow have talk messages attached to them. The fact that they can hurt you means it's impossible to read the talk messages, so you might want to get rid of them. Also, your music file was broken when I downloaded the level cuz you need to type it exactly as it is, with the file format at the end.

I thought the talking parts with the baddies would appear once they appeared on screen.
I'll fix that. I also need to learn how to make texts appear on the talkboxes as well.
It's all learning curves for me.

Should be good now. Fixed everything.... Well almost everything lol.
