Just submitted my reviews. Expect me to be harsh because I'd be lying if I said I had a fun time judging this :L

So i guess nothing changed in terms of levels at all after the last contests?

This is probably why i stopped submitting to a contest at all.

There were some really good levels actually, but they were outweighed by the bad ones.

Yeah i see what you mean.. dunno i just think you shouldn't really enter a contest if you still new to level design.. but some people make bad ones on purpose also.

I actually think new designers SHOULD enter contests so they can learn how to improve...the levels here just weren't enjoyable.
And yeah, there are a few joke levels in this contest too.

Joke levels are kind of the only reason I play contest episodes. After that it is boring and does not feel like it is worth it for the top levels.

Most joke levels suck though dunno how they fun. I rather spend actual time and work into a level for contest episode than something that i can easily do everyday and post it everyday.

We are planning to release the final results sometime this week. The second round will be removed due to the amount of backlash, and we will most likely only keep the four judges who have currently submitted as Sanct and Sorel are dropping in order to push the results sooner.

(I'd say thank you for your patience but there hasn't really been very much of that)

As I said numerous time previously, these sorts of contests are best reserved for summer, when we don't have school etc.

Some people actually also work during summer. It's easier with school unless you got summer school, but when you have to work, would you go up to ur boss and say "Hey boss i need vacation in summer so i can make a level for some mario contest and that most likely every year" You don't choose when you get vacation since it depends how many people are already gone during summer and you eventually have to replace someone.

Well I suppose I can really push myself to get the reviews done soon, but I'm gonna apologize in advance if they end up a bit incoherent.

I honestly think the best time for the contest would have been during winter or late summer/fall, but due to my schedule I couldn't make that work.

As of right now, there's a chance that Sanct and/or Sorel may still be able to finish reviewing by the time results are out, sorry for the change of plans. We plan to start releasing results this Wednesday regardless of who finishes reviewing and finish releasing by the end of the week. The second round is still omitted.

top levels are actually more fun to play, even with that, it can improve your level design skills.
