Lol I saw it now, can I participate in this yet?

Ps: Why Eijl always talk about my episode on every topic? I understand i you don't like, but this are staying annoying and childish....(This seems "Well, if that user doesn't like that episode, I will don't like too. I think here isn't the place that I can explain about my episode..These motives make me give up of the smbx or this forum.)

Nothing's stopping you from not participating before the deadline, go for it.

There was absolutely no reason to bring that up here; if something is bothering you, contact staff or Enjl directly.

I chose your episode as an example here because it is excellent learning material and because I only recently played it a 2nd time, so it was still in recent memory. My intentions weren't to get people to "gang up on you", but rather to illustrate the differences between contest levels and game levels.

I think what he meant by prequel episode is an episode that will be the predecessor of the episode that he's currently working on?

In which case one of 2 things will happen

1) He misses the deadline

2) The episode will be crap

So I don't think that is a good idea 101MarioGuy. I mean you can still do it but the deadline is less than a month away.

I don't know if this is his first time or not but, less than a month doesn't seem like enough time for him to get his project in by the deadline.

"Prequel episode" before release of the episode which it is a prequel to sounds like the content of the non-prequel episode wasn't thought out well enough or has already become so boring that the prequel idea is more appealing. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens again in a month or so, with the prequel being scrapped in favour of a new idea that barely has enough content for an entire game.

Extravaganza on the other hand gives you 3 more weeks right now to come up with some cool shit and compete against others and get some feedback on your work. It's a much smaller scale project than making an entire game, and, in contrary to your episode, this actually has a deadline which you can't shake. So gogogo! :3

I post the same thing on every single contest and never get anything decent done in time, but I'll try to actually finish a contest entry for once. Been a while since I've last done anything with SMBX though, hopefully I'm not super bad at them marios.

Don't make your episode crap and awful. Remember that the contest deadline is fixed. You are allowed to push back the deadline to release your episode if necessary.

Well, if your level turns out the crappy, then yes, it'll take that long, but it takes longer when you actually put effort in to it.

lol, can you imagine why the deadline is more than a month? Even my rushed levels for the Japanese Contest and the Sky Contest (yet to be tested and submitted) took three days and more.

I'll get started around tomorrow. First I'll need some super cool volcano gfx pack.

Actually, I took a whole day to make my best level. The fact is that these people are putting effort in their levels.
