Thwomp King Contest Update: Passing the Torch

Hey so I'm posting this to address the many issues with the deadlines for judging and everything for the past few contests as well as the upcoming March contest.

So for starters, I know results are going mad slow and it's been a couple months. So with all of the deadlines coming and building up, I would like to post all of these results at the same time as each other. I don't want to set myself up for failure with a definite date, so I'll leave that as a personal goal for me and the judging team. I apologize for the continuous waiting times.

For the next contest, there will not be a contest for March, rather taking this month as extension time for the sky contest and setting the March contest to being the April contest.

So long story short, my contests are not dead and I strongly recommend to continue to participate (for the small following of you that actually commit to them). To others that don't take these as seriously or mock the unprofessionalness of these contests, consider trying them. These contests aren't meant to be as serious as the other forum contests as much as I initially wanted them to be that way.

I make these contests to help motivate other users in pushing themselves to make the best levels they can make or to simply make levels they can use for their episodes with some feedback to help better themselves.

Please feel free to post any questions and concerns you have and I'll answer them all here when I can.

UPDATE:
With a lot of consideration in addition to how things have been for me, I will no longer be hosting the 2017-2018 season of contests this year. As my contests have been getting low participation during my time as host, I will be passing the torch to King of Eterity. So at the conclusion of the last contest for the 2016-2017 season, King of Eterity will continue my monthly contests as he pleases. I wish him best of luck with hosting, and I'm sure he'll do a better job than I have been doing lately.

As I have been doing the polls for 2017-2018, King of Eterity and I will collaborate on setting him up for the next 12 contests with the help of those of you who vote in the weekly polls.

It has been a fun 24 contests being your host. I thank all who have been on my judging team and to those of you who have decided to participate in at least one contest during the 2 years. One day I might host future contests, but I'm certainly taking a lot of time off after the July contest.

If you think that some judges have been too inactive, consider replacing some? I could serve as a replacement judge for the mountain and weather contest.

My stupid question: Can you host a custom music contest on April? I think it'll add some variety to your contests if you do more than just themed contests about themed levels.

Sorry for the stupid question, I'm learning NES, Game Boy, & Genesis music.

Not possible. All his contests have been planned.

Same reason as to why I decided it would be a bad idea to host monthly contests, as well as the fact that there are too many contests out there to even hope for a decent number of submissions.

JupiHornet actually hosts music contests. I'd PM him on this contest.

So, as you may have known already, The Thwomp King has posted about me making a post on these contests and the future, specifically 2017-2018.

So he has said he would be taking a break from the contests. So what is happening. Well I will be taking over for the 2017-2018 season, which means that I will be the host for a year.

So I know that some of you may thinking: OMFG why is this continuing?
Well there will be a short break from the contests in the summer after the 2016-2017 season has finished, so they won't be starting straight away. This will also allow for there to be an official contest to be held then, if planned, without the worry of contest clashing should one be held. And when they do start up again, I hope to do a better job than TTK in both hosting and judging the levels, and I will get the judges to get the levels judged ASAP, so that it does not take like years for results to be released. We have it mostly planned, there are a few more things to set up for the contests.
