So some of you may have played some of the levels from the first world of my project, which is still a work in progress. Each world in the project is themed based on (a) specific culture(s) and/or country(s). The theme for the first world, is a Japanese-Asian theme. So here in this screenshot, I've made an attempt at a Japanese bridge. Do you think it's fine as is? If not, how or can I improve it?

It does have a shading problem under the bridge, but it's not as obvious as it would be for brighter objects.

Looking good so far. Just address the shading and it will be perfect.

I really liked the bridge's look. The shading looks a bit off and I agree what Mechamind says. Sooo great job on doing this thing.

I agree about the shading too. The railing post on the left is pillowshaded, so it could do with a rework, and the horizontal beam (I guess) across the bottom could have the lightest part a bit further up. Otherwise, good job!

The idea in this is very good, the execution is a bit meh. You made a lot of flaws in the shading and you also used a lot of banding. For example, the pillar is pillowshaded while the railing and the top part of the bridge are top-left shaded. You should make it so that the entire thing is top-left shaded, you can learn how to do this by looking at the way other people shaded cilinders and beams, think of treetrunks, pillars and pipes. And even though you shouldn't just copy the shading on these they should give you a good example of how to properly shade a cilinder. There is also way too much banding in the sprites as you just used straight lines for the shading, which works on the railings and the grey path. But it doesn't on the pillar and bottom half of the bridge. Also, this is purely hypothetical, but as that level you are using it in is SMW styled, you could also decrease the amount of colours used by a lot. But as it is one of your first graphics, you shouldn't feel bad about it. My first graphics looked a lot worse for sure. Also, where is the DL link?

Well, he released it, so I'm pretty sure you can use it freely as long as you give credit.
