Here's my list...
PC
NES
SNES
GameBoy Color
DS
3DS
3DS XL (Yoshi Special Edition ;D)
Wii
Wii U
Sony's and Microsoft's video game consoles have too few games that interest me. And most games that do interest me are available on Steam as well.

My first gaming system ever was the NES (I got it during the SNES era though) and I believe it still works today.
I also have a GameCube (my favorite system so far), a Wii and a broken DS (certain buttons no longer work for some reason).
I used to have a PS2 but it broke after a few days of use. Goes to show how resistant the console is.

Oh yeah, by the way, I used to have a GameCube, GBA, DS, and DSi, but I got rid of all of those at some point.

Why did you get rid of them? Those are some damn good consoles if I do say so myself.

Well, when I got my Wii I gave my GameCube to a friend of mine who didn't have one. After all, the Wii can do anything the GameCube can (I only later learned how fragile the Wii's disk drive is). A couple of years after I got a DS (Lite), I sold all my GBA stuff for a disappointingly small amount of money on craigslist. I very much regret this decision. The GBA was a DAMN good console.
Fairly recently, I traded my DSi to my friend for a Game Boy Color with Pokémon Blue (forgot to mention this), which I don't regret at all. More recently than that, I sold my incredibly beaten up DS Lite (I used to bring it with me everywhere, and the two screens were almost separated at one point) to my friend who wanted to use it for Gen IV Pokémon trading gimmicks (evolution etc.). I don't regret this, either, since my 3DS can replicate the functions of a classic DS aside from GBA games. Thankfully, most of my favorite GBA games are released to 3DS ambassadors (which I am) or about to be released on Wii U Virtual Console.

Your story about your GBA console is similar to mine; years back when I first my personal GBA and bought surprisingly not that much games for this console I sold it in return for a 3DS. I was fooled, however. I thought you could insert GBA games into your 3DS and play them but turns out that's impossible, and unfortunately I haven't had the patience to buy another Gameboy Advance since. You've got to admit that the 3DS is better, but still, it would be nice to have a GBA.
Also, the reason I put the Gameboy, Super Nintendo, and the DS on my list is because I wanted to count ones not only I have in the present but I had in the past. I should of specified that in the original thread but I'm too lazy to do so right now.
I still technically have a Super Nintendo, but it's over at my grandfather's house. His grandsons like to play it and I don't want to be mean and just force it to my house, but when I visit him I usually play Super Mario World as it's nice to get a good feel of the old time controls.
My DS broke
the day I got it on Christmas. However, it didn't actually "break". It lasted up until approximately till February or March, but in the mean time what would occur is that occasionally it would shut down by itself. It really increased my fury, particularly when I was playing Mario Kart DS on it. It just shut down on the final race on 150cc Special Cup and I was winning. Eventually, it just shut down for good. Thankfully, DS games work on the 3DS. Still will never forget that moment of rage when I figured out the complicated way that GBA games don't work on the 3DS.
