Looks like the water surface is shaped like a sine wave when viewed from the side. The ocean is usually mostly flat[citation needed].

There is a 404 error message, you should fix the picture.

Perhaps remove the water crests to make it more like water - It would seem more 3D if only the very back had a white top.
