After Mafia was archived the General Discussion side of the forum seems empty and limited with just the Sandbox, VG, and Art left. Could a new forum be added for programming/development, general technology, a general interest forum, or something else like that? I think something is needed to keep more interest related topics away from Sandbox tier topics so that's a part of why I even ask. Would this be considered at all?

is there any special niche that we're really interested into? My guess is Media given the recent amount of threads about cartoons etc. in Sandbox, but for something like programming etc. we shouldn't add a subforum for it if we can expect it to barely have any activity.
