Mafia 36
We're looking for your quality mafia hosting skills and your quality mafia games for our next game!
You've seen Mafia.
You've played Mafia.
Now, it might just be your time to host some Mafia!
Sorry to Sanct, but he will not be hosting.
How do I apply?
All you need to do is post your game suggestion in this topic!
However, you must have participated in at least one mafia game in order to host a game.
After you have posted, your two Game Masters, Syndrilevosse and I (there's FallingSnow too but he doesn't show up that often), will edit your post and respond in green at the bottom if we approve.
If we have comments or changes that we recommend, we will edit in red.
Optional suggestions may be in yellow or orange.
Tips to Remember:
Each user may only submit one game, so choose wisely!
Your game should contain around 15-20 players.
Have about 1 mafia member for each 4-5 townies.
Your game doesn't need to be overly complex to be fun and interesting. Sometimes a good combination of roles can produce a better result.
Don't try to go overboard with the custom roles! You don't need to change the entire theme of your game for it to be interesting.
Ready for Mafia?
Think up some ideas!

As a solar eclipse draws closer, the Moon Cultists set out to conquer the Sun Temple once and for all.
The game focuses on the idea that the Sun specials can use some of their abilites during the day, whereas the Moon Cultists are more night-oriented.
The Moon Cult
Moon Acolyte = Cannot be nightkilled.
Twilight Priest = Can choose one of two abilities each night: Can learn a player's color, but that player will be alerted.
Alternatively, he can block someone's role for a day.
Moon Beast = the Moon Beast can go into alert mode every other night, killing anyone who seeks to kill him.
Dark Artist = Can paint a player's color to make it look as if they are part of the Moon Cult.
The Sun Temple
Sun Acolyte = Cannot be nightkilled.
Sun Golem = Can shine his light onto a player during the day phase to reveal he is the Sun Golem.
However, at night he must recharge and is unable to speak.
Luminous Shaman = Can incinerate a person with fiery magic every night. If he kills a fellow Sun cultist or Temple
Protector, he will be unable to kill the night afterwards.
Sun Augur = Can inspect a player during the day, learning their color.
Glimmering Guard = Can protect a player for one night.
Temple Protector = No special ability. Can cast a lynch vote.
Temple Protector
Temple Protector
Temple Protector
Temple Protector
Temple Protector
Lunatic = Same as Temple Protectors, but are in contact with eachother.
Lunatic
The Followers of the Eclipse
Enchanter of the Eclipse = Is immune to nightkills. Can kill a person every night. When he targets a Lunatic, they will become Eclipse Disciples.
Eclipse Disciples = Now part of the third party. If the Enchanter is killed, the Lunatic who was first recruited will take
his role.
Win by outnumbering the other factions or being the last man(/men) standing.

OK here is a new game that I came up with:
M36: Dog Almighty
-Cardflip
-Ballot Box voting
Mafia Dogs
Anti-Guard DOg: Can capture a dog preventing it from speaking for 1 day. Can NOT use ability on his teammates
Wolf: Has the skills that gives him night immunity
Stealthy Dog: Once per game, can target one of his teammates to relieve them of any lynch votes. These are then divided placed any other random dogs in any opposing team
Dog?: Cardflips green when inspected or killed. Also, lynch votes made by this dog count as 2
Friendly Dogs
Guard Dog: Can protect 1 dog per night
Sniffer Dog: Can inspect 1 dog per night
Young Sniffer: Will become the Sniffer Dog if the Sniffer Dog is killed
Bone Dog: Possesses the power bone and can use it kill a dog on the first night. After night 1, passes it to the first dog that visits him and becomes a regular dog
Dog: Just a normal dog
Dog
Dog
Dog
Dog
Dog
Dog
Independant Dog
Greyhound: Immune to nightkills and can kill any one dog that visits him on the following night. He is the only dog who is aware of who visited him. Wins by being the last dog remaining
Items:
Power Bone: The dog that possesses this can kill another dog on the night it has it. After that night, the first dog that visits him the following day will obtain it. Cannot be used after the first night of possession, even if he did not use it
Notes:
- If you visit a dog during a day, you won't be allowed to visit another dog the day after
- If multiple dogs visit the current Bone Dog on the same day, then the first dog that chose to visit gets the bone. This is only to make the game deterministic
- If the Stealthy Dog tries to relieve a dog with no votes on him, he will be able to try again, until he targets a dog that is voted on.

Can we please not uncontestedly leave the field to Waddle Derp and instead see what ideas other people have?
I'm reserving this for a (probably) new game.

Well, i don't care too much about waddle derp's game, but i wouldn't mind playing it,
but i'll resubmit this anyway, i DID make some minor tweaks though:
The Wizard of Darkness
Cardflip
19 Players
Role Usage is optional
The Dark Wizard & Cursed Mythical Creatures
Dark Wizard: Can choose what color they flip as at the beginning of the game, during night 1. and they are also immune to nightkills.
Basilisk: Anyone that visits them during the night phase will die, unless they have a mirror.
Black Dragon: Can take someone to their cave every night phase, disabling their ability that night phase, and also destroying any items they have. If It gets a draconian orb, he can paint someone black permanently but only that one person.
Red Slime: Can trap someone inside their slimy form each night, silencing them for the next day phase, they will also overwrite their vote, the one they trap will have lynch immunity too however. They can't use this on their teammates.
The Good Wizards & Good Mythical Creatures
Forensics Wizard: Can find out the color of someone each night
White Dragon: Can protect someone during the night phase, and if that player is targeted, they’ll die instead. If They get a Draconian Orb, protecting someone won't kill them. They also can choose to reveal their role to a player during the day phase.
Mirror Wizard: Can give someone a mirror every night. They also can't be killed by the basilisk death stare.
Orb Wizard: Can give someone a X2 Or Draconian Orb every 2 nights the former of which makes their lynch votes permanently count as 2 unless destroyed by the Black Dragon. And the latter will give them a special ability if their a dragon.
Blue Slime: This Slime is able to absorb white magic of fallen wizards and mythical creatures, and therefore, on a night, if a blue dies, they can target them to gain that blue's ability. Will flip as green until it gets an ablilty of someone, in which it'll flip as blue for the remainder of the game. If it targets the Dark Wizard, assuming they picked blue, then they obtain nightkill immunity. They also have immunity to the Basilisk's death stare as they don't have
any eyes. If They Pick up the White Dragon, Green Dragon, Or Red Dragon's Ability, they won't get the Draconian effects.
Dragon Duo(Green Dragon): Knows who the other dragon is, and can discuss with them who to set ablaze, killing them, if one of them die, they can’t choose a kill target anymore. If either of them get a draconian orb, that dragon's votes count as 2. If one of them get both a draconian orb
and X2 Orb, then their votes count for 3.
Dragon Duo(Red Dragon)
Regular Wizard: Each of them get a minor ability
Regular Wizard
Regular Wizard
Regular Wizard
Regular Wizard
Magic Studier: Knows they're the Magic Studier
Witchery Student: Knows they're the Witchery Student
Third Party
Witch/Warlock:
They can set a spell on a player each night and select a word atleast 6 letters long, and if the that player says that word the next day phase they’ll die. They also have nightkill immunity. If the witch/warlock is given a Mirror, they can inspect a player before it breaks. Once in the game, if they get a Draconian Orb, they can
use a spell that will cause a rage of lightning and rainstorms that will disable all abilities that night, and can choose a player to kill as well. Their abilities don't count
as a visit.
ITEMS
Mirror
If you have this item, if you visit the basilisk, you won’t die. If the witch/warlock happens
to get this mirror, they can inspect a player once.
X2 Orb
If your given this item, your lynch votes will count as two, unless it’s destroyed by the Black Dragon
Draconian Orb
If the White Dragon, Black Dragon, Red Dragon Or Green Dragon gets this item, each will get a different
temporarily effect, if the witch/warlock get this, they can make an awful thing happen, but only once
Regular Wizard Abilities:
Afterimage Magic: They can post a message after they die
Anonymity Spell: Can send an anonymous message once in the game that will be displayed after the night phase
Item Scavenge Spell: Can Scavenge for an item, %70 chance that they find a mirror, and a %30 chance they find
a X2 Orb.

Role PMs:
Your a corrupted wizard, your the main attraction, your the Dark Wizard! Your allowed to pm me on the first phase in the game and pick to be green, red, blue, mauve, or orange. You also thanks to your black magic can not die at night so you don't need to worry about that, make sure you
pick a color or your color will be picked randomly.
Your Teammates are: (Insert Names Here)
Your goal is to Outnumber the Good Wizards & Good Mythical Creatures And Burn The WitchKill the Witch/Warlock. Good luck!
Your a ginormous green serpent, your looks kill on sight, your the Basilisk! Anyone that is unlucky enough to stumble upon your
lair will die from looking you in the eyes, but remember, if this person has a mirror, your killing will be neutralized,
Your Teammates are: (Insert Names Here)
Your goal is to Outnumber the Good Wizards & Good Mythical Creatures And Burn The WitchKill the Witch/Warlock. Good luck!
A giant black reptile with wings, Your the Black Dragon! Each night you can capture someone as prisoner for a night, preventing
them from using their powers, and also destroying any items they may have on them. If you get a draconian orb, you can paint someone black for the
rest of the game but only that one person.
Your Teammates are: (Insert Names Here)
Your goal is to Outnumber the Good Wizards & Good Mythical Creatures And Burn The WitchKill the Witch/Warlock. Good luck!
Your a large, living blob of slimy mass, except that your cursed! Your the Red Slime! Each Night you can trap someone inside of
yourself, and then go into hiding so that no one can hear them. You'll also overwrite their vote, but they themselves cannot be lynched.
Your Teammates are: (Insert Names Here)
Your goal is to Outnumber the Good Wizards & Good Mythical Creatures And Burn The WitchKill the Witch/Warlock. Good luck!
Your a Wizard that great at Forensics, your the Forenics Wizard! Each night you can do inspection on someone to find out
their color.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Your giant white reptile with wings, your also very selfless as well, your the White Dragon! Each Night, you can choose to
protect a player from death, but however, you will be killed instead. However, if you get a draconian orb, you won't be killed from protecting someone.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
You really like mirrors, you may be a little vain, your the Mirror Wizard! Each night you can give someone a mirror so that if they
happened to wander into the Basilisk's Lair, they won't die. Also, you yourself cannot be killed by the basilisk.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
You play around alot with magic and trying to invent powerful orbs, you are the Orb Wizard! Every other night, you can give someone
one of your magical X2 Orbs to make their votes count as two permentenly. Just don't let that Giant Black Reptile, The Black dragon destroy it.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Your a Large, Living Blob of Slimy mass, that has learned to harness white magic, Your the Blue Slime! If one of the specials happens
to die, you can choose to absorb their powers, then you'll be able to use that power that that special had. If you happen to target the Dark Wizard, and they happen
to pick blue, you'll obtain their nightkill immunity. Also, you'll flip as green, but once you pick up an ability, you'll flip as blue. Also, as you have no eyes, the basilisk's death stare won't kill you.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Your a somewhat large reptile with wings, though not as large as the White Dragon or Black Dragon, your the Green Dragon! With your teammate, the Red Dragon, you two can collaboratively set someone ablaze each night to kill them, you want to make sure to try to get The Dark Wizard's Allies
however, or you'll do your teammates more bad than good. if either of you get a draconian orb, your lynch votes will count as two. If you get both a draconian orb and X2 Orb, it will count as 3.
Your Teammate Is: (Insert Name Here)
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Your a somewhat large reptile with wings, though not as large as the White Dragon or Black Dragon, your the Red Dragon! Your Teammate Is: (Insert Name Here)
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Your a Regular Wizard, you have a minor ability, which is (insert here) you can vote during the day phases.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Ugh, this is a pretty bad thing, but your The Magic Studier. So basically, you like to study the origins of black and white magic alike,
but doing this makes you look very suspicious, maybe even trying to look innocent, just try not to die or you'll end up confusing your teammates even more.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Oh no, this is no good, but your the Witchery Student. Your a stundent in witchery, seems okay enough right? Well here's the thing, the
fact that your a student in witchery makes you look like you may be the Witch, Or Warlock if your a guy, trying to look like someone just studying witchery. So you'll really not want to die, or you may make your teammates wonder if you were the Witch, Or Warlock, so be careful.
Your goal is to Kill The Dark Wizard and their allies and Burn The Witch Kill The Witch/Warlock. Good Luck!
Your Sneaky, your suspicious, your not aligned to the good side, but not aligned to the bad side either, so by process of elimination, this means
that your the Witch! Or Warlock if your male. So basically, each night, you can do some voodoo
magic on someone to make it where if they say a word of your choice that's atleast 6 letters long, they will die. You also can't be killed at night either.
if you can convince the mirror wizard to give you one of their mirrors, then you'll be able to inspect someone a single time, however the mirror will be shattered.
If you manage to get a draconian orb, one single time you'll be able to summon a raging storm that will disable all abilities and kill someone. Your abilities don't
count as visiting.
If The Dark Wizard and all their allies as well as the specials, this includes the Blue Slime and Dragon Duo, Are dead, then you win. Good Luck!

Why not just wait until others have posted their games? The poll isn't even up yet and this is kinda redundant since in the end it's your choice anyway

The year is 1855. The setting, the American West. A team of gangsters, commissioned by a time-traveling oil tycoon from the year 2180 named Big Doyle and led by legendary outlaw Jonny "The Fastest Gun in the West" Peterson, has infiltrated the once-peaceful mining town of Gunshot Gulch, Nevada in order to dig up a plentiful source of oil located below the surface. Oil is exceptionally rare in the late 22nd century and Doyle plans to bring the gallons he would dig up back to his own time, where he will sell it for trillions of euros.
The gangsters' only opposition is the 13 innocent townspeople of Gunshot Gulch who are determined to protect their village. Well, that's not totally right. Thankfully, Doyle was followed back in time by a Time Cop who has taken a vow to prevent the timeline from being altered and to stop the villainous oil tycoon at any cost. Unfortunately, he's already failed the first part, what with making his presence known to villagers in 1855 and all. But that's alright; he can still succeed in the second.
Oh yeah, and there's some prospector who wants all the gold in Gunshot Gulch for himself or something too, no matter who he has to kill. The townspeople will have to deal with all this in...
M32+: Peak Oil, 200 Years Too Soon
Format: Roleflip - 18 Players
This is a roleflip game. Since every player is a unique character, their specific role will be identified when they are killed (by default). However, cardflip colors are still included.
The Gangster Squad
Big Doyle: A greedy oil tycoon from the year 2180. He is the diabolical mastermind behind all of this, and can use cloaking technology to alter his appearance to appear blue if no autopsy is performed on him.
Jonny "The Fastest Gun in the West" Peterson: A legendary outlaw in 1850s Nevada. As long as he's alive, he will be able to kill one player on even-numbered nights, thanks to his incredible quick draw.
Black Bill Redford: Named for his ashen face thanks to his work with explosives, Bill can place a bomb on one player each night that is rigged to explode if that player dies; if so the player will cardflip black with no name revealed. The bombs will decay by the next night.
Mr. Skull: 160 years before he joined the ghost pirate crew, Mr. Skull was a gangster in the Old West. He spies on other players and gives them good bones and calcium, and can visit one player each night to eavesdrop on any host PMs they received.
(All members have contact with each other and conspire to kill one player each night.)
Goal: Eliminate the Prospector and equal or outnumber the townspeople.
The Townspeople
Doc Fesstival: The doctor who performs the autopsy on players every morning and night after someone dies. If he dies, the roleflip mechanic will be retired in favor of regular cardflips, since he won't be able to identify the bodies. He can also choose to retire and disable this ability during the night from Night 2 onwards, but this is a permanent decision.
Time Cop: A mysterious time cop from the future who doesn't play by the rules. He's extensively researched the population of Gunshot Gulch and can inspect one player each night to learn that player's cardflip color.
Sheriff Westin: Gunshot's sheriff, who has been set aside in his inspection capabilities by the Time Cop. He's looking to build up a posse to combat the gangsters himself, and can reveal his role to one player each night.
Crazy Carl Williams: If Jonny Peterson is the fastest gun in the west, Carl Williams is the craziest. He can kill one player each night, but will lose this ability for one night if he kills an innocent.
One Horse: The only horse in this town, he can sit on one player each night to prevent that player from being night killed. Obviously, he can't sit on himself.
Eric the Bartender: Has no ability, but cardflips blue if not identified by Doc Fesstival.
Lester the Kid: Regular townsperson
Timmy Claymore: Regular townsperson.
Frank Strange: Regular townsperson.
Vinny, the general store owner: Regular townsperson.
The Texan Smoker: Regular townsperson.
Barney the Carnie: Regular townsperson.
TNT Tyrone: A legendary former mercenary who previously worked with Jonny "The Fastest Gun in the West" Peterson. He has been retired for years, but will appear guilty if not identified by Doc Fesstival.
Goal: Eliminate the gangsters and prospector.
The Prospector
Ol' Ben, the Prospector: A crazed and greedy prospector who is obsessed with taking Gunshot Gulch and its oil for himself. Each night, he can kill one player. He can also protect himself by hiding in a hole if someone tries to kill him, rendering him immune to night kills. People don't think of him as a bad guy normally, so he cardflips green if not identified by Doc Fesstival (revealing his stolen gold).
Goal: Be the last player standing.
Syndrilevosse wrote:Haven't seen a good roleflip game in a while! Looks really good.
Maybe Doc Fesstival's color can change to green or blue if he retires? Also, is it announced when he retires?

A little gimmicky game I was testing out to see the effects of multiple cardflip colors. This game isn't designed to confuse everyone with the role colors luckily, though it will put the seer roles to good use, and should hopefully encourage teamwork since the Mafia could be any color.
The Ultimate Conspiracy
-Cardflip
-Public votes
-17 players
An underground criminal organization calling themselves the Conspirators have been planning to create the ultimate conspiracy that the town's own government dealt with the murder of their former mayor, when it was is actuality the criminal organization looking for the people to overthrow the government so they could reign over the town. Will the town find out about this conspiracy, or will the Conspirators have achieved their mischievous goal?
As a quick note on the cardflip mechanics of this game, if you are inspected, your color shows up as whatever your color is, or whatever it has changed to (in the case of the Stolen Identity or the Painter). But if you die, your actual color is revealed, which is the color you started the game with (as defined in the role's description).
The Conspirators
The Conspirators collaborate each night on a target they will take down (night kill). The Conspirators win if they equal or outnumber the amount of living Townsfolk, though they lose if all of their members have been killed.
- The Stolen Identity - Cardflips black upon death. Whenever the Conspirators' successfully take down a target, your color becomes that player's color.
- The Seductress - Cardflips purple upon death. Can seduce a player each night to reveal their role color to you.
- The Hacker - Cardflips red upon death. Each day, you may target a player. That player's lynch votes do not count for this day phase, though they are aware of this the following night.
- The Painter - Cardflips yellow upon death. Each night, you may paint a player the color of your choice, that player's color becomes the chosen color. Color choices are purple, green, red, yellow, blue, and black. When you are killed, all living players that have been painted by you go back to their original role color.
The Townsfolk
The Townsfolk must take down the Conspirators each night one-by-one with only the aid of the overly-secretive and currently-questionable government.
- The Agent - Cardflips blue upon death. Each night, you may choose a target to night kill, though you lose this ability for a single night if you kill a Townsfolk. Once throughout the entire game, you can forgo your night kill to come forth and reveal your role during the night. On the following day phase, all players may lynch for two targets as opposed to one.
- The Spy - Cardflips blue upon death. During the night, you may inspect a player, revealing their color to you.

- The Vigilante - Cardflips red upon death. Each night, you may choose a target to night kill, though you lose this ability permanently if you kill a Townsfolk.

- The Estranged - Cardflips black upon death. You think you're a normal Townie, but you're not quite sure. Your color changes to the color of the person you last visited, though you are not aware of this.
- The Whistleblower - Cardflips yellow upon death. You act as a normal Townie, however you know that you are the Whistleblower. When you die, in your death message, there is the information on a random visitation chosen from either the night you died (if you were night killed) or the previous night phase (lynched).
Note: The visitation information given to the public during the Whistleblower's death would describe each individual person that visited another person during the night. As an example:
Ex. 1 wrote:<Player 1> visited <Player 2> in the middle of the night!
or, in the case of multiple visitations to the same player:
Ex. 2 wrote:<Player 1>, <Player 2>, <Player 3>, and <Player 4> all visited <Player 5> in the middle of the night.

That game kinda looks like a complete mess. I could probably make sense of it if I put in like 5 minutes, but it does look like a bit of a mess.

Just out of curiosity, what are the odds that we'd be able to scrounge up 20 players for a game? I'm on the fence about whether this is achievable or not, because if it is, I could just submit an old game I hosted in the past instead of that other one if people don't like it.
