While looking at some profiles i noticed a new profile thingy, is it for the contest prize?

I noticed the Medals section as well. It might be for the contest winner, though everything is just going to be a rumor as long as it's not officially confirmed.
I can imagine medals could be used for other things as well. Like, for example, when someone makes levels or episodes that stand out among the rest. Or when there's a community member who is especially helpful/friendly/funny/etc. Or a badge could be given if the member has been here for a year. Or when it's their birthday. The possibilities to use medals for are nearly endless.

Ooh medals sound like a nice idea. I love stuff like that. I just hope Joey implements them well.

The staff has plans for exactly what'll happen with medals already. And, yes, the winner of the Community Contest will receive one.

I think they'll work like the SMBX:R Badges in a way. They will probably be earned automatically, however.

No, they will be awarded to users manually.

I saw that Joey has a "Snowman" badge. They are actually called Mr. Blizzards.

Look, no offense intended, but even if they were handing out badges like that, there are a lot of people who would deserve such a badge more than you.

Like the badge you got on the old forum by finding those random boos around the forum during Halloween(Or atleast Im pretty sure thats how it worked)

If so, Valtteri and Sednaiur would be the only ones to earn it, no offence to the rest, I wouldn't get to achieve it either.

If a medal regarding graphics submissions would be added, it should be for graphics designers in general, not the best, not the worst, just GFX designers. Besides, there are far more possibilities on what to do with medals than what has been done in SMBX:R with badges.

How about Squishy Rex?

I guess he could also manage to achieve it, but that's beside the point.
