Files not showing.

I've been having a small problem with super mario bros x. The .lvl and .sav files for my custom episode I'm making are not showing up in my file directory, but when I go to the level editor I can see them in the in game directory. If anyone can find the solution to this problem that'd be awesome!

Are you sure you're looking in the right directory?

If so, then right click the directory the files are in and go to Properties. Make sure "Hidden" is unchecked and then make sure to check the box that says "apply changes to subfolders and files". Click "Apply". If this doesn't work, you probably aren't looking in the right directory.

I did both of these things and it still shows nothing, I've looked everywhere.
I find this to be quite odd, but I'll keep trying different remedies.

Could you post screenshots of both your in-game level opening screen and the folder you have them in outside of the program?

Sure!

This likely isn't the problem, but it looks like Windows is reading that folder as one that contains Music. So you could change that in the Properties window of that folder, no guarantee that'll fix anything though.

So get this, I tried saving the levels to a different folder, and everything shows up there.
This is really odd, but I'm going to work on some stuff and see if I can fix this.

Maybe it has to do with specific User Access and how it is set up. If you are an Administrator of this PC, you have pretty much all access there but if an Admin decided to change some settings that some of the files will not show up or some kind of configuration then that might the case. Are you an Administrator on your PC?

Try this: copy you folder to other disc (not C)
Install VirtualBox and system for he.
try both folder.

I uninstalled the game, and installed it to a non-private area I.E my documents or my desktop, works perfectly now.

I don't know how Virtualbox would've fixed this problem anyway, so I don't recommend downloading it. Also, look at what TeraVex said, Jayson:

Im Having the same Issue and i dont know what to do,i cant play my Episode because of that Bug,i tried all you guys wrote and doesn't work

Try uninstalling SMBX and reinstalling it in a different location (e.g. your desktop or Documents folder).
