What program do you use for coding?

Postby Fuyu » Tue Jan 03, 2017 11:41 am

Most people here are used to using Notepad++ for coding and so I was until a couple of days. In the end, I switched to Sublime Text because it automatically finishes any tags/lines for me. Plus, I like the font and background colors better than the white background and bold blue from Notepad++.

You can configure the style in the settings on N++. I used it with white text and a maroon background (school colors).
I still use N++.

You mean the IDE? Right now, I'm still using N++. However, I've been looking into Eclipse as well because we use it for Java coding and apparently it also has support for Lua. Also, Eclipse is pretty user-friendly and it auto-completes statements for you.

Where possible, I use Visual Studio for its excellent debugging tools. However, for script languages like Lua, Notepad++ is surprisingly powerful.
