Title says it all.
In one of my levels, two of the three stars are glitched. If you collect one of them, and then collect the other, the second one you collect won't be counted. Is there any explanation for this?
Also, why doesn't it show how many stars are in a level when you stand outside the warp to a level anymore?

You can't place more than one star per section.

To your first question, no, you can't. If you want stars to count each star has to be placed on a different section, there's no work around for that. Sorry.
Also, when you stand near the warp to a level that has stars it should show how many stars are there and how many you have collected. If it doesn't show there are two possible issues: Or you made a mistake while making the warp, or you didn't place any stars. So you'll have to check both if it doesn't show. Something wrong you could have made with the warp could be that you typed the wrong warp number, or that you had a typo while pointing out which level the warp is supposed to take you to. Make sure you've done everything well.

Do you have two warps attached to each door/pipe? (Ex. Warp 1 of Level A leads to Warp 1 of Level B, Warp 2 of Level B leads to Warp 2 of Level A) Because I believe that can glitch out the star counts so sometimes they show and sometimes they don't. Try setting it up so that there's one warp on each side (replace all "2"s in previous example with "1"s). I'm not sure if this applies to your situation, but it's the only thing I know of that can mess with that.

I think that's how I've set it up. I'll make sure to try that.
