Transparent BGO Oddities

I've recently been having trouble with Valterri's GFX pack. (Version 1.01 if you were curious) So, I was using the SMBX 2.0 editor, and was placing in the giant tree BGOs. Everything was fine until I realized that the left-side root of the tree had a black background surrounding it, where it should be transparent. What's odd about this is the opposite, right-side root looks perfectly fine; in both editors (Original/1.3.0.1 & 2.0) and out. I didn't touch anything, and it's the way it came. I also can't work around this because there's nothing behind it, except the background. Oddly, in the new editor, the root looks perfectly fine; it's just in-game and the old editor where it's weird.

Here are some screenshots.

Well, uh... Thank you if you read this, I may sound like an idiot, and I'm gonna get working on that level now, so, cya! And thank you in advance if you can help, that'd be awesome.

Is the graphic file in .gif? That's the issue when this happened for me.

I'm sorry to say this, but yes.

There's your problem then, try saving the graphic file as .png, including the mask of the background. That should hopefully fix it.

Honestly, that is not the issue, the issue is that it replaces a graphic that did not originally have a mask. If you go into the graphics folder and look for the same background you are replacing, you will see their is no backgroubd-#m.gif and thus the mask will be a black square. PAGE seems to not know when this is the case since it reads masks for everything instead of only what had them. Hope this helps.
