I wanna try this out as well. Something I can finally do on my spare time would be great. I'm great with English and fluent with Spanish (just in case it's needed too) as well as they are both my strong languages. I'd be happy to help. If I'm accepted that is.

Well my English is pretty good even though I forget some words, but this sounds like a interesting job so I'd like to join too.

I know Joey doesn't really care for people that can't write English, but I think that if this is going to really be the only SMBX wiki out there, we should at least have support for various other languages, such as German, Finnish, Portuguese, Spanish, etc.

It might help those that can't read English very well, and we might surprisingly get more members to post levels, episodes, and graphics this way, as we'd have a broader array of languages to support, meaning more people can learn to use SMBX.

Just a thought, though.

Yeah, your suggestion is great. Since Portuguese, Spanish and Finnish are languages that are spoken by a considerable number of members having a multilingual wiki would help things.

I have only two problems with a multilingual wiki:

1. I don't speak any other language well enough to know if the articles meet the quality standards set by the rest of the wiki, but I could find people that would be able to do that (e.g. Valtteri)
2. It might be misleading to some people because the rest of the community is English-only (and will stay that way), but the wiki does kind of act as a multilingual help file so I'm okay with that

I'm also not sure how this would work in terms of wiki structure/layout - I don't want to install multiple wikis, but we could just use namespaces (FR:/ES: or even French:/Spanish: etc.).

Those were just examples, not definitive supported languages.

If it is going to be multi-language, portuguese, spanish and japanese are must-haves.

You should mention in the original post that we require some form of web developing to actually do anything.
