Super Mario Bros. (SNES) Preview 2

Progress: First 3 Worlds are done.

Preview 2:

It's a recreation of Super Mario Bros. for SMBX.

This time it's a faithful recreation to the SNES version of Super Mario Bros.
That means it will have the exact level design from the original game.

Features:

It will utilize the World Map, so you can revisit any level.
The screen never scrolls left. (Just like in the original game).

It is 2 player compatible, so you can enjoy co-op rather than taking turns.

Expanded field of view from left to right. (Hence, the camera in SMBX).

Gameplay of SMBX (Yes, you'll be able to Spin Jump).

Due to the Super Star not being in SMBX, they will be replaced with 10-coin boxes.
If SMBX 2.0 releases, then I might port it to 2.0.

Also, I know this project has been done before, but All the other versions suck.
I'm making it as close to the real deal as much as possible, and I'm not resting until it is finished.

I don't know how to screenshot on this.
Blame the forums.

Code: Select all

[img]insert image URL here[/img]
Unfortunately screens are an obligatory requirement, and video previews or demos won't cut it. Upload screens to an image hosting site (I.E: imgur) and then put the URL into the [img] tags (As show above).

P.S: There are already 2 remakes in progress, so I would suggest trying to make this different to the other 2.

Remaking SMB1 is a concept that has been done way too many times. I would suggest trying to make something more original, because there are already thousands of SMB1 remakes out there, and I don't really see how this version is different from the others.

To add screenshots, you need to either click on the button that says "spoiler" which will bring up this: [ spoiler ][ /spoiler ]

Then click on Img, and inside the [ img ][ /img ] Right click the image you want to put in (if you want screenshots of your computer, you should get lightshot; it's a free download that can make you screenshot certain parts of your computer) and click "View Image", then copy the website link and paste it between the [ img ][ /img ].

This is how I got the image you see in my signature.

Hope this was helpful. :)

You don't need lightshot in order to take screenshots in SMBX, simply press F12 during gameplay to take one!

You can also get ShareX/Puush. And the spoiler tag is not necessary for posting images (though screens in project threads, it will be more convenient because you will need lots).

It is the way things work. All forums are like this.
