Any way to end an episode without credits?

You see, if you use Bowser Defeat the credits roll. I do not desire that, because if I use the credits, I can't credit everybody in my project.

But you need the original Credits in order to make the game 100% complete. You can use 2 Credits. First of being your own Credits and if you are at the end use the SMBX Outro Credits "Event".

You could just use a moving layer with a credits background on it, I imagine. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to put together. But yeah, like bossedit said, I would include the normal credits somehow, perhaps after your own.

Like bossedit8 said, there's no way to make the episode 100% complete without the real credits, and you can also make your own credits before using the current SMBX ones. Besides, this has been made already in zephyr's project, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do so too.

The credits in zephyr's episode didn't seem as reap as the default credits. They didnt have a level in the background.

Actually zephyr's episode credits had a level as background, but he used many graphic replacements to show off all of his level themes. Now, if you want to make some credits with all the charactes moving in one direction there's a way to simulate that, but won't look as good as the original. You can always set player movement and place the characters replacing other NPCs moving at the same speed as mario when he walks normally.

Is there some way to end the episode WITHOUT credits?

Well, you actually can but if you do this the game is NEVER 100% finished so it is really needed. 99% is just not good after you beat and unlock everything but not even visited the credits.

I mean, is there a way to go
1. Defeat the final boss
2. The victory music plays
3. Go back to the title screen

Just add two credits to your project; one you make and then use the outro from SMBX.

Valtteri i think he's blind, This is the right way to answer him:

There's NO way to do that, not even with events or LunaDLL you know SMBX's limitations and yet you ask impossible things, didn't you want to leave the community to worship that abomination of super mario uprising?

Just to be entirely clear, there are three ways for the player to go back to the title screen:

•Pause and quit.
•Run out of lives.
•Watch the credits.

There is no other way.

It's impossible to get 100 on your file WITHOUT the credits.

Even if FanofSMBX normally speaks in bad taste about SMBX's limitations, I'm pretty sure he was asking a legitimate question here and multiple people were saying "just use two credits" without giving him a finite answer.

Also, I'm pretty sure we could find a way to modify the world file or save file (likely the latter) so that it displays 100% without watching the credits.

EDIT: oh, but you want to go directly to the title screen too. Hmm...you could use LunaDLL to subtract all of the lives and kill the player at the end of the level and disable the sound it makes. Or maybe you can't, I don't know much about LunaDLL.

You could also modify the actual outro file and have your own credits in the background while the SMBX credits roll, and then provide it along with the episode as a choice. However, that's still not an excellent solution considering that someone can just exit the credits the moment they start, and would require overwriting of the original.

Other than that, having two credits seems to be about the only thing you can do. I looked at some save/world files in Notepad and apparently the only thing that has anything to do with the end credits (out of what I can understand from it) is a line in the save file that either says #FALSE# or #TRUE#, and that's just whether or not they've appeared rather than whether or not you need them.

I think that is pointless to do this like that.
