I do and will always hate Hook from Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories, it's by far the hardest boss in the entire game. I can fight Riku, Vexen and Hades all you want, but Hook's another story.

Why not just make this "What Was Your Hardest Boss In Gaming?" Some people may have not played KH:COM.

Buzzybat from Stage 4-9 of Kirby Mass Attack. Yeah, I know, Kirby game, but hear me out here.

His attack patterns require you to be both quick and very precise in terms of how you move and attack throughout the fight, which isn't easy with this game's mechanics. Under normal circumstances, he's not much more than a nuisance, but if you're going for the Gold Star rank in each level, you're in for a nightmare.

Gold Star rank means you've gotten through a level without taking any damage at any point during the run. If you get hit so much as a single time, bam, you're right down to Silver. Doesn't matter if you get healed later in the level, you can't get Gold back without restarting the level entirely. That makes things really frustrating when you get through this three-phase boss and then need to apply pixel-perfect timing to land the final attack. Doesn't help that in order to fight this boss at all, you have to complete harder versions of three previously-fought bosses in a row in the same level.

Although the Gold Star rank is an optional difficulty challenge, it's still part of 100%ing the game, so I'd call it a tough boss in that respect. Don't know if it's the hardest one I've ever done, but it's certainly up there and it always comes to mind when talking about hard bosses.

Even if you're using Stone, one of the minions he summons has a tendency to spin around invincibly over you, almost guaranteeing you'll tank a hit, something which you can't afford to do.

Dreamy Bowser (spoilers for Mario & Luigi Dream Team) was surprisingly tough. It took me quite a while to beat him. His attacks were impressively hard to avoid and he healed all the time, but it still seemed pretty fair.

Egg emperor from sonic heroes, not the boss itself, but the controls and glitches during the boss make him unbeatable

Aurum Pyrrhon was very hard to beat. His attacks were hard to dodge, he has loads of hit points, and every time, he completely gets rid of my life bar, and I have to restart the battle. Oh, and he's from Kid Icarus: Uprising.

The 2nd Wily boss from Mega Man 2 was annoying. Not just because it is composed of the blocks in the arena, it does 8 DAMAGE!

I couldn't beat Bandana Waddle Dee! His slow walking and non-crafty jumping is hard to avoid although kirby is like 3 times faster.
AND DON'T EVEN get me started with goombas. They are have the smartest attack strategy. I mean, walking forward and falling off cliffs? Too hard for an expert gamer like me.

Back then, I thought Wart from SMB2 is a tough boss to complete because of timed veggie spawners and also well timed veggie throw. You have only like 2 hearts (or 3 if you found at least one) so it is a hard boss to complete back then but right now it is not that hard anymore especially in SMBX.

Dark Bowser from M&L from Bowser's Inside Story was particularly difficult, mainly because the mic on my DS was busted

I've to say Bowser X from ML: BiS. I kept dying and dying. I could almost rip my DS in two.

Hard decision, also because I haven't played too many games with difficult bosses. I think the toughest boss I was ever confronted with with was either Plantera from Terraria (you have no chance with weak equipment, and it's still not easy with excellent equipment as I have it by now), or the massive Baby Bowser from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (I found it quite a challenge to aim those eggs correctly), or Bowser from Super Mario Galaxy 1 when you fight him for the third time (heck, I still haven't defeated him so far).

Baby Bowser I couldn't beat. And Smg Bowser I beat easily. Don't even get me started on Plantera. It's easy with a Legendary Terra Blade and Beetle Armor (Enraged Plantera, however, I couldn't beat).

Bowser from Nsmbw was hard, and I only beat him once. Sure, the easy form may be as easy as the battle from Nsmb, but the Giant Bowser... oh man.

I have a Legendary Terra Blade and Turtle Armor. I like using magic, though, so I often go with a Mythical Magnet Sphere and Spectre Armor. And I actually think Plantera is easier to defeat with this magic set-up than with the melee set-up.

To this DAY, I still can't beat Clyde in the Caldera from Pac-Man World 2.

From Donkey Kong Country Returns the seventh boss, but only in mirror mode. Until now I didn't beat it yet, so I have never reached the 200%. I'm stuck at 198%.

oh yeah, that boss, yeah it's pretty hard, i suggest stocking up lifes in the secret are of the 3rd forest level, i think it was the 3rd but i can be wrong
