I’m aware that someone has decided to make four SMBX episodes and name them after The Great Empire series.
The user(s) named these episodes TGE4, 5 and 6 (he also made another episode and called it TGE3, which I already made in 2014).

Kinda annoying how these are getting thousands of views, too. What’s even more bizzare is that whoever is making these are going as far as to claiming that I am the one making them, when I haven’t released anything SMBX-related for two years now. That being said, I’m in talks with people about potentially starting a new project in 2017.

I want to clarify that the representations of episodes 3-6 on this channel are not my work.

Does anyone know anything about this? It’s all pretty strange.

I think you can call those 'fan episodes'.

TBH I don't think it matters if people reuse names of episodes from others really as long as there is something different (it does mean that they are wrong for titling one call TGE 3 I guess, as it will confuse some people). It is however wrong to state that someone else made it other than you (which I honestly find it weird that they are not claiming their episode as their own but someone else's that also did not make them).

Anyway, they don't really look that good either, compared to what yours would probably be like.

I'm asuming that he said that the episodes were made by you because it would make things seem more "offical" in the way that they will get more popular because people belive you made them, and since you're a lot more popular and skilled than him, people would rather watch stuff he made instead of his own content! So he's technically using your popularity to get loads of views, which is not okay, so I do think that you should try to get the videos taken down! I think it's wrong to make something based on an already existing franchise and say that the original developer(s) of the franchise made it, cause that's not true! That's kinda like making SMB4 and saying Nintendo made it. It would create a lot of confusion, like people coming to you to and saying stuff like "I found a bug in TGE4! Plz fix now!!"! I do think that you should atleast try to take down the videos, cause he's probably using the TGE series to get more popularity, which is not ok!

That's just what I belive he's doing with these "fan" episodes, it dosen't have to be what he's doing, but I do belive you should atleast send him a PM on YouTube!

This is like next-level shitposting. As I pointed out earlier in the thread, someone who has a considerably large audience has been continuing my series without my permission, when will this madness end?

To be completely honest, I don't understand how this even slipped past any of us, in fact, it still is, we don't have anyone that can bring a wide audience attention to this except Bossedit8, but we shouldn't do that to his channel because of how it's structured.
If anyone here seeing this has a big enough channel, could you help us out? that would be nice.

it exists. superbird 111 has also confirmed there will be up to 12 Great Empires, at least.

Someone did all this effort just to make a bootleg sequel of your episode. You should feel honoured.
