You get mushroom when you're small. It’s literally the same in every mario game. How can they be more "common"?
If anything, in SMB3 they’re more common, just because you can them from those fucking toad houses even if you're big.
Maybe he's talking about how in SMW mushrooms would pop out of bushes? I suppose they were more common in that way.
Yeah, also, they're in the Yoshi eggs whenever you ate 10 berries with any color Yoshi

There are games that can decrease the interest of the players for their high difficulty, and one of them is The Lost Levels. I already vote for that one.

To be completely honest, I 100% despise the USA version of Super Mario Bros. 2. The game just feels wrong and incorrect for me. Plus, it was ripped off of another game anyways, so it's barely original. I do admire them trying to do something different with Mario & crew so early on, though, and I can see the appeal of the game as a whole.

Between Deluxe and Lost Levels. But my least favorite is deluxe, to me is just an expansion of the original game. With minor changes

I would say Super Mario Bros 2 because everything was so different about it compared to other classic Mario games.

So you don't like it just because it's different? I think it honestly has a good deal of merit and quite enjoyed it. Very different atmosphere and layout compared to SMB1, SMB3, and SMW, and almost comparable to the feel of YI imo

Yeah, i personally agreed. I find Super Mario Bros. 3's levels more interesting than Super Mario Bros. 1's level imo

Even if the lost levels has more votes, i never played so I can't judge, but I still bet it's horrible, seeing as how one of it's levels is commonly on "Hardest SMB Levels ever" Type of YT video.
Anyhow, I never liked 6 golden coins.

Not true, and btw Super Mario All-Stars came after SMB2 for the NES, if that's what you mean by different.
And, people say it was a rip-off of some game called: "Toki Doki Panic" (Correct me if I'm wrong), and I don't think that's true. It's an original (Also one I play often on my FCE Ultra emulator, USA Version, or should I say NES)
But, why would they do that with a completely different game style?
It's still cannon to the series either way, seeing as how baddies from that game are seen up to this day. Shy Guys would have never come out to light if it weren't for this game

Not sure how C-3 always appearing on 'Top Ten Hard Mario Levels' is evidence for the entire game being horrible. That's like saying Super Mario Galaxy 2 an Super Mario 3D World are horrible because The Perfect Run and Champion's Road because those always appear on the same lists (and higher on them as well).
The Lost Levels is not a terrible game at all though. It does have quite a lot of BS like hidden blocks. Although forcing you to beat the original version 8 times is what ultimately reslted in me never playing worlds A, B, C and D though. Pretty stupid. At least this is not the case for the All-Stars version.

Certainly looks like it, I'll have to play before I talk. Now my mouth is shut regarding the Lost levels until I can judge it fairly

Trust me, playing through Super Mario Bros. 2 The Lost Levels is HELL from start to finish!
Here's proof: When I play Lost Levels in SMB Deluxe in Castle 1, I must sacrifice my damn mushroom/fire flower just to progress, all because the fire breath is almost ALWAYS on the ground in a tight hallway. BULLSHIT!

The Lost Levels is about as glitchy as the first game (maybe less as there is no minus world).

In Japan, Lost Levels is called SMB2, which seems to be confusing MarioRPGExpert a bit.
There is not an official Lost Levels version of the US version of SMB2

I think the fact that it is on a gameboy is proof that you shouldn't judge the Lost Levels based on your expeiences of the SMB Deluxe version.
