What would happen if the worlds of Super Mario and Metroid collide? PROJECT M.O.T.H.E.R tells the dark tale of the Galactic Federation discovering the strange new species of turtles named Koopas.

Hello everyone! After quite a few months of work, I have finally completed my first episode ever, 'Project M.O.T.H.E.R.'. I was planning to release it on Halloween, but I was impatient :lol:


Warning: This episode contains pixelated blood and depicts suicide.

Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

A few things:
*There is a story in the signs.
*The last level was supposed to feature a timer, but when I was done, I learned SMBX doesn't have timers :/ (It's still the last level though)
*I suck at background art, so I made a lot of sections' background black. I think it fits with the dark atmospheric theme.
* There are no coins to collect. I felt shiny coins were a distraction to the doom-n-gloom feel (although, there are dragon coins, some hidden away).
*When testing the 4th level and they last level, they were very laggy. I assume it's just my crappy laptop, but let me know if it happens to any of you so, just so I know I shouldn't over do it again in the future.

-Removed a level message from a scraped level that was accidentally left behind

this looks nice, but the blood on the SMW koopas' eyes is 1x1 pixels, you should fix that.

Alright. I like the concept so far.
Just got one little error to break down.

In Sharp Glass after you beat the birdo's and exit out of the area. When you return to the world map it does not let you advance past.

Other than that. It's very challenging.

Before, I wasn't able to test levels beyond Sharp Glass because it would drop my FPS. I recently got a better computer, but never had the motivation to update this because it seemed like nobody was playing it, until now! :D I will try to fix it, and other stuff.

Was there any part that seemed too unfair? It being super challenging wasn't the main goal in designing this lol

I beat the level with no problems. It's just the after effect. Where the map does'nt bring us back to the next level

Fixed it, the episode is now fully playable! :D If you (or anybody reading this really) finds any issues or suggestions, please let me know. I want to continue to create more episodes, but i would like more feedback on the one i made.
