we always get used to beating up that big lizard that keeps stealing mario's princess.
just like everytime, the hero wins.
but bowser's minions sometimes go through the red line, wich leads us to repeat the same fault of dying, causing angst and ragequits.

here is a place to share with people all those ANNOYING moments in mario games.
(mario kart, luigi's mansion, paper mario, all games in the mario series)

here are my moments:
-falling off rainbow road
-super mario bros. 1/lost levels physics
-SMB1 level 8-3 (its literally impossible)

8-3 isn't literally impossible tbh. It's a little tough, but doable. I find Lethal Lava Land and any of the slide portions of levels in SM64 DS really annoying

A few of mine:
-The Super Mario Galaxy controls, which I still can't seem to master.
-SMB1 level 8-4 (unlike 8-3, I don't think the final level has any power-ups.)
-Lost Levels C-4 and D-1 are even worse on their own, but paired together they mean seriousness.

Basically World 8-1 and 8-4 in SMB they don't have any power ups in it which makes it even harder to beat those levels. For me it even took a while to beat when I was younger.

I never found 8-1 to be hard, but the time limit always made me nervous.

The first few times I attempted the ice slide on Cool, Cool Mountain. No guard rails, and the first time I succeeded was pretty cowardly - I just kept "braking" and jumping so that I didn't go too fast, although I still kept falling a few more times because I was too slow, and I even jumped backwards into the pit near the small ice bridge. A few more tries and I eventually succeeded doing it the way it was meant to be done. My brother actually found the secret passage by accident when the penguin pushed Mario into the wall, and we both thought "What." when the penguin wouldn't give Mario the star.

The slide on Tall, Tall Mountain was not a bad moment at all, since I found the extra lives early on and I was already used to the Ice Slide and Peach's slide (though I still hadn't gotten it down to 21 seconds yet).

When I was a little younger, I found the the minigames in Bowser's Inside Story incredibly annyoing. Especially the one right before the Wiggler battle. Instead of trying to beat that thing, I just went through the woods punchin every tree I could, and once I actually beat the puzzle, I was so overleveled that Wiggler died in three hits afterwards.

oh lord... i remember that minigame, took me 3 days to beat '~'
also, i never beat "bowser in the dark world" in SM64, it looks easy but i fell in it a lot... good times.

SMB W8-1 it took me a while to beat when I was younger because first, yes, the timer and second there are holes that are hard to jump over like that one grassblock at near the end of the level.

I forgot about my experience with World 4-4.

You see, in the Lost Levels, 4-4 doesn't give you a lot of room. There's a backwards jump onto a block with a firebar on it. There are Koopas and a Hammer Brother. It also taunts you by placing an invisible power-up block somewhere that makes it impossible to collect a fire flower, but even getting a mushroom is tricky due to Bowser's fire breath. You have to run under Bowser; you can't jump over him due to the brick wall coming down from the ceiling.

As a bonus, the second extra long firebar can sometimes look like a normal one due to sprite limits, but the extra length is there, just invisible.

Compared to C-4, 4-4 is easy money

7-year-old me, attempting Tubular for the first time in Super Mario World. It took me nearly 100 attempts to beat that level.

Even then, I still hate Tubular to this very day. It's regarded as one of the hardest, if not the hardest, Super Mario World level. It's hard to get to grips with the P-Balloon itself, but when you've got Chargin' Chucks throwing projectiles at you, then it becomes a nightmare. Not to mention the fact that you need to keep refreshing your balloon if it runs out, and they're often found in scary spots where it's easy to get killed.

Yeah, I agree! I absoloutely hate tubular for the exact reasons you mentioned! I found the level extremely frustrating when I was younger, and the worst part was that I was playing the GBA version! Imagine Tubular, but with the GBA's terribly limited resolution! And imagine trying to get all the dragon coins in the level to get 100% percent! Even today, with tons of Mario experience from SMM, playing SMA2 on the Wii U, I still needed tons of restore points in order to not ragequit when playing the level!

tubular is one of the 10 hardest mario levels, so no wonder you kept losing in it, also it took me like 21 attempts to beat that level.
