How To Make A Path Not Accessible Until Level Is Beaten In The SMBX Editor???

Hello! So lately I've been working pretty hard on making my own Mario Hack with SMBX Editor. I just have one question that has been giving me a hard time. How can I make it to where you can put a path down from level to level, but make it where the player can't go across the path without beating the current level he, or she hasn't beaten yet? Or not put a path down, but when the person beats the level the path automatically starts to appears for them to progress onward. Every time I load it up to test what I've created so far you can literally cross paths without beating any levels, and it confuses me, because I can't find the problem. And I know I must be missing something, because I play alot of different hacks, and everyone has it right. I've tried so many thing, but I just can't find a solution. So I came on here hoping to get a solution. Now there is something I've been thinking about, and it is maybe when you load it up in SMBX maybe it'd automatically fix that, but I've tried that, and it still didn't work. I know this may probably seem like a amertuer question.

If you happen to find a solution thank you advance. :D

First of all, all paths connected to the one that you label as "Game Start" are automatically revealed at the creation of a new save. There is no way around this, but you should only have one Game Start anyways, since this is where the player will spawn on the world map.

Assuming you're using the legacy editor (the one packaged with SMBX 1.3.0.1), while editing a level tile, the second section of the level tile editor from the left is labeled "Level Exits". Here, you can set the methods by which paths around that level should be revealed. By default, "* - Any" is selected, which will cause the path in that direction to reveal when the player completes the level, no matter by what method (you'll probably want to set any direction that doesn't have a path out to "0 - None", though, which will prevent a path from ever being revealed there after completing this level). You'll want to set each direction to a different reveal method - if the path to the right should be revealed by reaching an SMB3 roulette exit, select "SMB3 Exit" from the "Right" drop down menu.

Hope this helps!

How do you make level paths appear after an exit in SMBX2?

Okay. After you create your world map and the paths, do the following. First, find what direction the path goes left, right, top or bottom. Next, find what ending the level has (SMB3? SMW? Offscreen? Star? Pipe?) and put it in the direction of the path. And test it out, and voila!
