Do you keep a journal/diary?

I never did growing up because I thought it was a bit lame. I've been talking to friends though and I've written out notes to myself just to express myself when there is nobody available when I need them. It's actually more productive than I thought, so I wondered if anyone here does anything like keeping a journal/diary to log what's on their minds. Since I unfortunately have really bad anxiety it's also extremely useful for coping before or after a panic attack. Like it's a way of articulating the rapid fire thoughts on my mind into tangible words that can be made sense of. I'd recommend it to anyone else here that has the same challenges.

There's no shame in it if you do. In retrospect it's a positive thing for development as a person, but sometimes people are more extroverted and are able to communicate to a wide array of people instead of logging thoughts. Or maybe those types do it more often and I misunderstand them. Not sure tbh.

Anybody do this?

I do keep a journal but I will only write on it if I let something in my mind out without other people knowing it or if something great has happened to me.

If I did, it would probably be to help me out with a creative project in the future, though the project wouldn't explicitly be about how my life is going. In my case, it's more likely to happen with odd dreams, not real events.

I kept a dream journal over the summer. I had to stop because school has me speeding out the door (not enough time).
I had some really weird dreams. In one, I was in the courtyard of what appeared to be a prison being chased by tellietubbies. That was the strangest one, the others were just random bits and pieces of my thoughts strewn together in a hideous and sometimes hilarious fashion.

^ Quick notes. More punctuation. Fewer letters. Expand later. How I'd do it.

Odd dreams this way. More speed. I click Submit. Next browser tab.
