You shouldn't be getting SMBX from an illegitimate source, since it would be a scam, as Beta4 isn't even released yet or finished. I'd recommend running an antivirus scan on your computer, removing the fake SMBX, and downloading Beta3

The delay value does not go between 0.4 and 0.5. It would be very helpful if it did. (maybe consider this for beta 4 unless there is a limitation that prevents this)

If you had tried this yourself prior to posting, you would have noticed that this is not possible. The feature request makes sense.

I was on some website that looked like some game cracking website, it also had fangames. While searching for an fangame named Mario Constructor Revamped, i found "SMBX2 Beta 4". I didnt have much knowledge then, not knowing what was the latest official release. So i just downloaded it and it worked normally. I do remember some comments (i didnt know if these were fake or real). One said something like (not the exact text)

Thanks so much, on the SMBX2 website, it said its open source. I couldnt find anything on the website and even on other sources. I knew they were lying and though they protected the source code with anti decompiler. Not only does this have source code, but also new SMBX2 Beta 4 version!

The website had some medieval and kinda shady look to it.

We knew of someone who got a hold of the source code a couple of months ago, and it seems through their network that copy managed to make it somewhere online. Good to know at least. Keep in mind that the version you have is pretty prone to breaking if you try something not immediately presented to you, and that it's pretty outdated at this point. Though the latter shouldn't really matter to you.

Please refrain from redistributing the version further, though... half the stuff in it won't be reflective of how it will work on release, and the other half will probably have bugs that stand in the way of people actually wanting to use the features for what they come up with, or rely on systems that have been updated since and will break code on this unofficial redistribution.
We're doing our best to get the next release done as soon as possible. There has been good progress recently, so please be patient for a bit longer.

I know there is a scammer on the forum, but Mario Constructor is a actual game, not like "Mario Constructor 2" or "SMBX Ultimate" you can see bossedit8 's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbZYlY7rCR8&t=21s
and that Revamped version is a modification of the original, like the "Mario Constructor Master" version. Look up "Mario Constructor Master" on google.
The original Mario Constructor and the Revamped mod are very underrated fangames, but Mario Constructor Master is much more popular.

SMBX was made in 2009. It's too "new" to be running on DOS.
I did a small test anyway. This is version 1.3.

There was a leak at some point and it appears it was uploaded to a ternary website. Just because it wasn't leaked here, doesn't mean it wasn't leaked anywhere. It's likely the culprit wanted to stay as hidden as possible.

True, but my main point was about how he / she is using the legitimate forums but downloaded the beta 4 source code (outdated) from an illegitimate source.
Anyway, in future, you should download programs from the developer / official site, if possible. E.g. download SMBX Beta 3 from the SMBX forums, etc.
