Hello! You might know me as the one who made levels, such as Kuribo Adventure, and (the horribly made) Splatoon Battle Level, but, i also make Graphics, ive been doing Graphics ever sence SMBX 1.3.0 got a Cease and Desist order from Nintendo, but ive never got to publish them, and now im uploading one i made a few months ago.

So Anyway, about this Graphic, for anyone who knows Splatoon, you know the Squid Sisters, right? well, im guessing some of you guys also have seen some Youtube videos with both Mario Bros. and the Sisters, then suddenly, i got an idea:

''What if someone made Playable Characters for Callie and Marie in SMBX?''

And so i did, i grabbed some sprites for the Mario Costumes from Super Mario Maker (Ripped by Random Talking Bush) and the sprites for Mario from Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros 3 (Ripped by Nitratez) and put this thing to work, worked for hours making the original sprites, and uploaded a preview for the Sprites in my Deviantart (Link is in my Signature), and so today (September 13, 2016) i finished them, and with both 1.4.1+ and 1.3.0+ versions of the graphics.

Here's a Pic of the Power-ups:

Here are Screenshots: (because every graphic need a Screenshot, its a rule.)

Update 1.5

I've been getting messages about how the Mega Mushroom powerups weren't as good, and the main problem was the noses, so i fixed them.

You should probably work on your lineart. It's easy to see which parts of a sprite you had a template from original games for and which ones you drew by yourself. While the regular powerups look good for the most part (minus some jagged and sluggish lines), I can't really call the large sprites good. The spaghetti-arms, weird nose, huge gloves and some of the shading (see: marie's hair) are the major issues which I have with the sprite. Looking at the animation too it doesn't seem like any of the other frames are any better.

To be fair though making large sprites especially is very difficult, animating them even harder. Your large sprites can be used as a template for refining shape, shading and animation, but like I said in the beginning... please take a look at the basics of lineart.

While im trying to understand what you were trying to say in the first sentence, i strongly can agree with you on the Large Sprites, i drew the Mega Mushroom powerup on paper, then took a pic and pixel art'ed it, and afterall, Paint.NET isn't that good with pixeled lines.

Nnnno. You literally have a line tool and can choose between the Pencil and Paintbrush tools. The paintbrush tool, when configured correctly, will actually produce better lines than the pencil line (no janky corner lines, which you are trying to avoid). The left click-right click colour mechanic lets you easily fix lines made with either tool though. For comparison: here's a quick line drawn with paintbrush (top) and pencil (bottom):

Take a look at Graphics Gale drawing software, even the free version has awesome and powerful tools such as layers and animation.

Now I can finally play as my squid waifu.

(But, the giant form needs some work. Keep improving!)
