This is my first project, Another Super Mario Bros. X. The number of levels it will feature is currently undecided, though I can provide some info.
Story:
Mario and friends decided to take a relaxing boat ride after another one of their tiresome adventures.
Suddenly, they came across some problems! The boat began to shake, crumble and then, CRASH! They found themselves stranded
on an island. The name of the island is (TBD). Things didn't seem right on the island, as airships, fearsome foes, and a plentiful of trouble!
Mario and friends thought that only one person could be up to this, Bowser! So, they began their new adventure. Will they defeat Bowser and save this uncharted island?
Screenshots (OLD):

Well, it's sounds very interesting! Yeah, the level desing soudns good to paly and see. I really like your cusotms graphics, especially the second screenshot. Well, in the third screen, I advice you to place a background with mountain of mushrooms in the distance. Instead speaking of the first screen, I really like the tree back. And the style is as NSMBW, but one thing: I advice you to replacing the SMB1 grass to the recolour in SMB3 style, so sounds whole. For the zone where are placed the coins I advice you to use the medius blocks, but in style "obscure-backgrounds", for the LOGO is simply Beatiful!
P.S.: However sorry is advance if you think I am too boring, and if I want the PERFECTION, but they're only advices. With this: Good Work on your episode!

Is it just me or do the coins not seem to be in sync?
Also I suggest either a recolor or the square SMB3 block in the third screen.

What you've got here is an okay start. The design isn't bad, but it's a little bit flat and barren. I don't know how much you've got going on surrounding the screenshots, but each screen feels empty in some way.
The first one could use some additional scenery (more trees and bushes would be fine), and maybe a pipe or two. I'd also recommend using SMW bushes instead of the SMB1 one. In the second one, perhaps add some lavafalls, maybe some things to jump over that the skull raft could go under. Unless it's a short ride or you already have other obstacles set up later, but take the advice as you see fit. In the third, you may want to put some platforms on the higher areas, even if they're just for decoration. Placing some SMB1 clouds would help, and a couple more enemies and coins wouldn't hurt.
From these screens, this has potential. In general, I think if the levels were populated more, they'd look rather nice. Then again, I realize these are gameplay screens and not just editor screens, so you may have already killed/collected some things before taking them. Still, scenery would definitely do some good.
Good luck on your first project, and I hope this makes progress.

Well, this project is still in very early development, so there's definitely room for improvement.

Am i the only one or why does the name and logo remember me much of Another Super Mario Bros Wii.
In the rest i agree with the points some of them pointed out but that toad in the screen kinda looks meh for me.

Just bumping the thread to inform you that I am not ded, and neither is this project. I just haven't been able to work on it as I don't have a computer to use. But whenever I get the chance, I'll get back to working on it and and providing new info.

Alright guys, I have a computer to use now, so the project is now going to be worked on again. I'll probably upload a trailer once enough stuff is done.

This project look very interessant!, I all screenshots, but, I suggested that you use the style SMB1 in the level to appear in the third screen.
Homever, Good Job on this!

Alright guys, I've been making good progress, and I thought I'd show off a very small preview of the episode. A trailer will be coming in due time.
