Tried it with multiple pages, and every time I try I get "The URL you specified is invalid."

So, what's the deal?

I think it needs to be an animated .gif

Yup, seen bossedit8 using one of those. Sorry, I used the wrong term. I meant "random" multi-image avatar.

I remember I tried that, but it didn't work for me.

Yeah, neither it did for me in the past. But now I'm determined to get my way if possible.

Yeah, I know that. I went to an image-randomizer page, made a GIF that would load one of three random PNG images, and tried it out. Sadly, it did not work.

Maybe bossedit8 change it everytime.

Raocow did it on Talkhaus at some point, and I saw Emral/Enjl do it before. Their is a special website for it if it still works.

I don't get what you mean...
are you talking about rotating avatars? if it's so, than probably it's because it tries to save the gif and fails ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also inside my signature, yes, that one image changes every time if you reload the page but I tried to put that on my avatar at one point but failed to do so so I had to use a gif to do that instead.

I remember you used to be able to have a randomizer like that as an avatar, I'm not sure if it was from the phpbb3 update or if it's an option that Joey disabled.

Yes, I wanted to use an image that would change every time I load the page as my avatar, but as it turns out I couldn't. I also tried making an animated GIF like bossedit8 for my avatar, but I don't seem to manage to make it weight less than 256kb, even though it has fewer frames than bossedit8's avatar. I even compressed the GIF but I only got it to 445kb. So yeah, what the fuck.

you can always upload it somewhere else >.>

Usually that doesn't interfere with the bitrate.

I was using an avatar like that as well but I was hosting it on a different image site before the image expired, and now I'm back to using this. In case you're wondering, it was the Pokemon theme song.

Managed to use it. It's not quite the result I was aiming for, seeing as the outline of the avatar became completely blank, but I guess I'll stick with it for a while seeing as I don't want to remake the whole animation cycle all over again. Thanks for the help guys.
