Decided to make one in SMBX. It is actually based from qwertyuiopasd1234567's star coin sprite sheet

Original sprite sheet : I recolored it to 16 bit and drew new frames. So the animation would be smooth and here's the result

You should smooth out that circle outline. Talking about this:

I don't think it's a problem...

That's a smoothly animated Star Coin! Just like in the original NSMB games!
Now, to put that collecting 3 Star Coins gives you an extra life, and to run it smoothly!

This is really amazing and beautifully animated, I'll probably swap out all of the star coins in my episode for this one. Nice work!

That's basically what I meant, but it actually looks weirder that way. Maybe it's better to leave the sprite as it is.
