Don't double post and don't bump old topics, my apologies but I've had to get onto you three times today for breaking the rules. You really need to read them and successfully comprehend them. I merged your posts.

Does this custom boss have what it takes to receive a high score? You're about to find out.

Mr. L talks, and then the boss battle begins! However, I immediately realize that right after the two text boxes appear and the boss barrier falls at moving layer's speed, you can outrun it just by a few seconds and fall into the water. It's pretty unrealistic thinking you can beat the barrier's speed, but eh, I'd increase it. Also, I'd recommend making the spikes at the end of each barrier the ones in default SMB3 section, since SMW doesn't look so nice here - at least with the SMB3-esque atmosphere.

Next, I would like to discuss the music; it frankly didn't fit whatsoever, and I felt like I was in the circus with chaotic clowns. I would use something that you'd typically hear from Mr. L; like something from Super Paper Mario or such. Just something different would be fine with me.

There wasn't any ceiling, which broke the whole feel of being trapped in a sunken ship. I'd at least add some blocks on the top so it murmurs in your head, "You have to beat me, the all mighty Mr. L, before you can escape the sunken ship!"

The scenery placement was fine, and I admire your efforts to make it look decent. Most users don't acknowledge scenery and just focus on the boss quality. It has to look satisfying, too, and you proved to me you're capable of doing so.

Mr. L was Ludwig-esque, which made him extraordinarily uncomplicated. Overall, it took him nine hits with all of his phases. It was unique in its own way, shape and form. Might I ask, however, who made the Mr. L sprite? Just anxious, because you didn't include any credits. :/

Anyway, that was a short review, but I can't help it due to it being a custom boss. Keep it up.

Overall Score...

7.50/10

Approved - Moved to Pretty Good
