You're welcome. I plan on doing more of these in the future.

I would have never thought to have used that item. As I said in my review, I rarely used the shop, and I don't believe I ever bought the invicibility item. I honestly thought that either the specific version I was playing was broken in regards to that star or there was some secret return pipe I just couldn't find or something similar to that.

Postby FirestarPlays » Tue Feb 28, 2017 1:29 pm

The shops in this episode are bugged. It won't let me exit the shop after I purchase something. Please help, Enjl.

Can you provide a bit more information? Does it give you any errors? What happens when you try different inputs? Are you running SMBX 2.0 Beta 3?

Yes, I am running SMBX 2.0 Beta 3.

EDIT:

Eventually it makes a debug popup box. Then the game crashes.

RSuper, I know this is a minor nitpick, but you said in the video description you need 2.0 beta 3 to play the episode, when in fact, you can also play this with the latest LunaLua build & SMBX 1.3.0.1 . Could you update or change it, please?

I'm just noble and lazy to change the description. The thing I only know is I could play this episode with 2.0 Beta 3. There's a lua APIs in there. Also, I changed the description and remove the "(You need 2.0 Beta 3, get hype for Beta 4)" because everyone will confused which SMBX version they need to play this episode.

I can deal with you being a stubborn idiot who refuses to download an engine to play my games with. However I cannot deal with you spreading lies which are gonna bite me in the ass in the future.
I have explained to you in detail why I changed the description of this topic to say "you need beta 3". For every user of SMBX it'd be endlessly unintuitive if I wrote "you need to download 1.3.0.2 and then get the latest nightly build and replace these files". I want people who want to play this game not have a struggle with setting it up.
Also yes. I said 1.3.0.2. You know why? It's because - like I already told you - 1.3.0.1 does NOT have lua support. The version on the lunalua download page is called 1.3.0.2 and has never been officially advertised on this forum.
Can you see how your preaching of an unnecessarily complicated setup with false information is gonna get people who want to play this not only confused but also frustrated? Just... stay away from my episode topics forever, please. I don't want to repeat myself again.

Don't even know what's going to happen when I fight Orakel

That's cause these bosses are drawn using glDraw which, as the name implies, relies on OpenGL.

There's something I never specified in my help and support topic: in the folder with the setups you told me to download there wasn't any 64 or 32 bits setup, just a bunch of icons with the name of setup

By the way, can I know where the red drops sfx from Emral City Sewers is from? I think I've heard it before

Yes there were. You just didn't read the archive names:

Everything was okay after I installed the drivers and the error message didn't pop up anymore
But that was just the beginning because now I think I killed SMBX2

Now everytime that I load the game the music of the main screens plays but the screen is black, I can hear the sound of when you select something in the main screen but just for some seconds because the game crashes

And now I can only use the 1.3.0.1

Re: 2k16 Hypnosis Redo Version 2 (b4 compatible)

The 4-yearversary is tomorrow, so here's an early birthday present!
Download Version 2

Note:
There is no "patch" upgrade since the update is aimed at new players. While save files are compatible, the fact that it's gonna end up in a different smbx installation will hardly make replacing the previous folder worthwhile anyway.

Rough Changelog:
- Updated names of characters to more seamlessly connect to Subzero Heroes (releasing 9/9)
- Miscellaneous changes in dialogue (characters won't swear anymore)
- Removed controversial figures
- Reduced coin cost of several items to reduce the need for grinding (1up box, Beach Ticket, Mysterious Key, Lite Pass)
- Lowered the amount of maximum inventory slots
- Added playerphysicspatch to improve gameplay experience
- Minor design changes to Forgotten Mansion and Grand Chemo 666
- Fixed a softlock in Grand Chemo 666
- Adjusted launcher page.

We have decided to not make massive changes in order to preserve the game's original quality (similar to Summer Makeover). So you might find the episode to be a bit rough around the edges by today's standards.

As part of the new launcher page I have created a reference site that lists all episodes in the series in order, with links to all the available threads. If you're new and looking to get into the series, that is a good place to start.

The evil arc of this episode serves as the prequel or prologue to Subzero Heroes, so if you are looking forward to that, I recommend playing (or watching gameplay of) the evil arc of this episode beforehand.

Lastly, this is going to be the final update for this episode. While making it I have discovered that there are several bugs in older scripts that this episode relies on to function. So if this episode breaks again on future releases of SMBX2, it will become increasingly difficult to maintain. Since we keep an archive of old SMBX2 versions up and running, however, you should still be able to play it on Betas 3 and 4 (and maybe future versions depending on which scripts get removed for deprecation) indefinitely.

Enjloy!
