How do I embed pictures on this forum?

Upload them to Imgur or another image hosting website and paste the direct link between img tags

I tried that first, and the image just looks like this:

The link should have an ending like ".png" or ".jpg" etc. If you put your images on a site like e.g. Photobucket, you have to rightclick on the image first and click "display graphic".

I added .PNG to the Imgur link and it still doesn't work.

That is because you should just use the Direct Link

Here is how it looks when you select the direct link which is the second option

What you did wrong, is that you used Image Link and not Direct Link. Image Link is for URL stuff this is why the image doesn't show up.

Just use the Direct Link option and you fine.

Even if you can't find the direct link, just right click the image and select "copy image address."
