Trouble with Hub World

I am having a problem with my episode. I am using a hub level, but some things don't work. If you stand in front of the door, you won't see a "star counter" like in Tower of Biased. Also, if I beat a level, I won't return to the level's door. Instead I return to the hub levels start. Am I doing something wrong, or is it just a bug? Is there some kind of tutorial about setting up a hub world?

The star counter should be automatic as long as the linked level actually has at least one star in it (even if your episode doesn't use a hub format). If it doesn't have any stars, it won't show a counter, of course. Make sure that the level the door links to contains at least one star.

To have the player return through a door, you need to have the door link to a warp entrance of the level - place a door warp in the linked level (not the hub, the level itself) with "Level Entrance (cannot enter)" or (or "Enter only" in PGE) checked in the Warps and Doors panel. Then, in the hub, configure the door that leads to the level to have the player enter from "Warp 1" of the linked level or whatever instead of leading to the level's normal entrance.

I already found out one thing that I did wrong: The star counter didn't work because I didn't add .lvl to the levels filename. But I made a debug level that had a door as the level entrance, and it still warped me to my spawn. Also, I just opened the hub level of ToB 9, all of the warps I checked had "Normal Entrance", yet Mario still returns to the door.

Also, I just noticed that pausing in my hub level just has the options Quit and Continue, while ToB's hub has Continue, Save & Continue and Save & Quit (Although this isn't gamebreaking since it automatically saves, but it is a reason that makes me believe that something is off with the entire hub)

But thank you

Oh, did you make sure to check "No World Map" in your map file? That's actually the main thing that makes an episode hub-based, sorry I didn't mention it before.

Thank you, I just found out the problem. After I opened the world map and added a .lvl to the hub level, everything worked.
