Vol. 1: Misty Mountains in the Kingdom of Autumn Mushrooms

Prologue: The Mixing Whisk
Spoiler: show
“God created the Heavens, the Earth, and the Seas.
After creating all things in the universe, God created Humans to rule this world.
Yet while possessing the wisdom of God,
Humans were physically weaker than the wild beasts, and impulsive in spirit.
Many times did the humans come close to dying out forever.
Concerned about the humans' future, God gave them a mighty force with which to aid them.

It was the Seru.

Since the dawn of Human memory, known as history,
Humans lived together with creatures known as Seru.
The Seru lived together with humans, always obeying them,
and making the humans many times stronger than before.

When not worn by a human, a Seru looks much like a stone figure.
However, upon touching a human, a Seru changes form and gives that human secret abilities.
With a Seru, a human can lift objects heavier than itself and even fly in the air at will.”

Muyoko was playing a video game, a Playstation 1 game if you will on her computer in the guest room of Princess Peach's royal palace. Princess Peach sat beside her reading the first few lines of the prologue carefully. She nodded attentively to specific details, mainly about the abilities of the Seru.

“If Seru existed in this kingdom, maybe we can have stronger soldiers so Mario wouldn't have to save me every month. Hopefully we can finally have peace in our kingdom.” Princess Peach exclaimed excitedly about the discovery of the Seru. Muyoko however stayed quiet. Her eyes glanced at the hopeful princess, but there wasn't a comment she can speak aloud to her immediately.

It wasn't very common for the kingdom to have games outside of the Nintendo systems. In fact, finding a game for a console that wasn't made by Nintendo was labeled as a luxurious item that were very quickly panned (much like whale meat or a translated visual novel from Japan). Sega games were the most obvious offense that Toadstools shun and look down upon, especially if they have a certain blue creature on the cover with a smirk on his face and speedy red shoes on. However, the game Muyoko was showing her was not a Sega game, so for once, even the most strict and loyal of Nintendo gaming Toads were curious about what she was showing the Princess.

“However, that era came to an end.”

Ominous music began playing when those lines first were brought up on a black screen. Princess Peach's smile turned into a perplexed and confused jaw drop. She looked at Muyoko who still remained silent.

“Appearing from out of nowhere,
the Mist covered the land,
bringing to an end to the symbiosis between Humans and Seru.”

Princess Peach was introduced to a mist covered cityscape. She looked at Muyoko again, waiting for an answer. She was about to open her mouth again but she restrained herself so the prologue can continue on further.

“After the thick Mist came,
the Seru, who once obeyed humans, rebelled against them.
The humans began attacking humans at will,
Seru that attached themselves to humans controlled their minds and turned them into evil beasts.”

Princess Peach watched as strange peculiar eyeless beaked creatures awoke from what looked like a slumber and started chasing confused civilians who began running away instinctively much like Peach would run away from Bowser. Difference was, when one of them fell, the creatures stabbed the civilians, pinning them to the ground with their beaks and therefore killing the humans. Princess Peach watched in horror at the scene before it cut to black.

“Did the humans in this story...” Princess Peach tried to ask Muyoko.

Muyoko still had no comment.

“Muyoko! What happened?!” Princess Peach asked again, almost screaming, shaking the brunette girl as her hand still held the keyboard.

“As if forsaken by God, human civilization collapsed. It was the twilight of humanity.”

Another black screen with text showed up. Princess Peach was almost scared.

“Muyoko... What is this game about?” Princess Peach finally asked.

“Those who escaped the Mist inhabited desolate areas and protected each other.
Now their faint hope is their only source of inspiration.”

The prologue concluded as did the ominous music. But only after Princess Peach got a view of a small village covered by a wall. Princess Peach almost sighed with relief, though, she pointed at the screen.

“Are we there, Muyoko?”

Muyoko finally answered with a soft voice, “Yeah.”

Princess Peach heard ocean waves before opening up to a quiet village town with a windmill blowing.

Before anything further happened, there was a loud crashing noise.

“Again? What is going on?!” Toadsworth began to rant just outside.

Muyoko looked outside her window, pausing the game by minimizing it. Her eyes widened at the sight.

It was a man with dirty blond hair fighting with what looked like a lighter blonde haired girl in red white and blue garb. They were both saying things in German.

“I wish I knew what they were saying. I have forgotten the little German I learned from random things of media I just happened to stumble upon.” Muyoko said as she said.

“Should we get TNTtimelord to mediate the situation? I mean, he's younger than you, but he seems much more mature.”

A voice squeaked towards Muyoko. It was Starlow, the Star Sprite.

“Oh! Well, I don't know. He may not know this, but the dirty blond guy is someone I actually know in person. His name... Well, I call him by 'Nitori' when I'm around strangers. Though, judging by that name, I'm thinking that's why the blonde girl is mad at him. I have to explain it's an alias we use so our real names don't get spoken and people start making an uproar.” Muyoko explained to Starlow.

“So you guys are... like mages in that one tabletop RPG. If someone says your real name, something terrible might happen to you!” Starlow squeaked again.

“That's right. I guess I need to tell him he needs to add an adjective to the end of it or else that girl might kill him! That woman is actually a very strong magic user!” Muyoko exclaimed as she jumped out the window.

“Muyoko! Be careful!” Princess Peach cried out.

She dodged laser bullets that came out of the blond girl's hand.

“ALICE! THIS ISN'T GENSOKYO! CUT THE CRAP OR YOU'LL KILL COUNTLESS TOADSTOOLS!” Muyoko roared as she jumped up thanks to the blocks.

“M-Muyoko? You're here too?” The dirty blond boy looked down and asked.

“Hey love, I'm sorry I didn't tell you. The last adventure kind of occupied me.” Muyoko sighed as she reached him.

“Alice's Danmaku has weakened. Either this place is draining her energy or Gensokyo has been destroyed. I tried to explain that I'm not a Kappa.” The blond laughed nervously, dodging another bullet from Alice in the process.

“WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO, YOU SOUL EATING FREAK?!” Alice, the blonde girl asked.

“God damn it, how do we explain this to her in a civil way? Do any of the citizens of Gensokyo actually rationalize?” Muyoko asked with a very angry groan.

“Wait... What did you say about Gensokyo?” Alice was finally beginning to grasp what was going on.

Countless of scared Toadstools were shivering in fear, hiding behind rubble and ruins.

“Are you finally seeing it now? These aren't female yokai that have Danmaku all willy-nilly. These are innocent civilians of different genders and ages you are hurting. And that's not all, the Princess of this Castle may be very forgiving of these catastrophes, but you still will be punished for this.” The blond man asked very distraught.

Alice stopped floating, landing on some white bricks that were building a road for Toads to traverse the garden in.

“So... Where am I exactly? And what are all these... creatures?” Alice asked.

“We'll bring the Mario Brothers and their friends over as well as explain our situation.” The blond man said.

“Hey... We should add an adjective to your name so Alice won't attack you again. The real Nitori may be somewhere.” Muyoko said looking around.

“We should also invite TNTtimelord over,” Princess Peach said, “If this is about destroyed kingdoms, they'll have to know something about it.”

“Gensokyo's actually a realm. An... Alternate reality if you will. In it, Danmaku is kind of what you call our 'power'. Without Danmaku, we're pretty weak.” Alice said frowning.

“Danmaku doesn't exist in any of the kingdoms I know of.” Princess Peach said.

“I know there's someone here that knows of 'Gensokyo' and 'Danmaku'.” Muyoko annouced.

“What happened to it exactly? And nobody answered my question of where am I yet.” Alice said angrily.

“In that case, Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom. This is my Palace. The destruction that you made here though is actually a pretty normal occurrence ever since I came of age to marry.” Princess Peach explained to Alice.

“Wait. You're the Princess? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. You're the only one here wearing a crown. But I thought princesses were supposed to be menacing and aggressive. They're much like that in Gensokyo.” Alice said frowning.

“Oh my! In that case, I should probably learn how from a powerful magician like you. This kingdom is usually peaceful until the Koopa Kingdom appears.” Princess Peach giggled.

“The Koopa Kingdom?” Alice asked raising a brow.

“That's right. And it's up to the Mario Brothers to save it.” Starlow said, “They're what you call... Our knights.”

Alice groaned, “You're letting MEN do all the dirty work? That's pathetic. This kingdom clearly doesn't know how to build up proper defenses. Shanghai! Hourai!”

Two dolls that dressed and looked similarly to Alice appeared from under her hood.

“Scout the area. Kill any person that affiliates themselves with the Koopa Kingdom. Any spies will have to be exterminated.” Alice announced.

“Isn't killing them with those a little extreme?” Princess Peach asked worryingly.

“The women of Gensokyo are actually pretty brutal warriors. Of course, most of them are immortal and most likely not even human so they come back to battle. A lot of the issues in that realm are resolved with fighting unfortunately. So if Bowser captures you, of course Alice will be out for his blood.” The blond Nitori explained.

“But doesn't Mario usually fight Bowser when Princess Peach gets kidnapped? This wouldn't be any different.”

Someone new entered the room. It was none other than Prince Peasley himself. Alice screamed in horror for she never met a Beanish before.

“What's wrong? Have I alarmed you, Miss...” Peasley asked puzzled.

“WHAT ARE YOU?!” Alice asked.

“I'm Prince Peasley of the Beanbean Kingdom. My mother's recent death combined with Princess Peach's recent captures, preventing the revival of my sworn enemy, Fawful and my potential marriage with Luigi the Green Stache is why I'm here.” Prince Peasley explained to her.

“You're GREEN SKINNED!” Alice yelled.

“Well that was obviously racist. Of course I have green skin. I'm a Beanish. My skin's green since beans are technically plants.” Peasley said now frowning now a little irritated by her comment.

“Technically the Toadstools are all mushroom people too. In fact, it's actually pretty rare to find humans in this realm. For a while, my family have been the only humans to ever inhabit the world.” Princess Peach explained to Alice.

“So are the Mario Brothers some kind of weird biological inter-kingdom hodge-podge?” Alice asked.

“They're the second set of humans to appear in this world, from the land of Brooklynn, New York.” Princess Peach replied.

“I'm a former resident of Vegas.” Muyoko waved.

“and I'm from Missouri. I should also reintroduce myself as Cherry Nitori so I don't confuse you again.” Nitori said as he laid a hand on Muyoko's shoulder.

“So you humans also came from different realms?” Alice asked.

“You can say that.” Princess Peach explained.

“That would mean before Princess Peach and whoever else was in her family, humans never existed.” Alice said making a sad expression.

“Let's not think about that for a minute. It's a great honor to have you...” Prince Peasley tried to brush it off, shivering at the image of no humans.

“Margatroid. Alice Margatroid. So if this isn't Gensokyo, and there's all these plant people and fungi people around, what are the enemies you all face? Don't you guys have any natural predators?” Alice asked.

No comment. Just awkward silence.

“Do Pirahna Plants count? Or Bob-Ombs?” Starlow asked.

“I see... There's danger all around, I guess.” Alice laughed nervously.

One of the dolls Alice summoned came back with a pink Goomba with blonde hair.

“LET ME GOOOOOO!” The Goomba squirmed.

“Hey, it's Goombella.” Starlow said, “She's not actually affiliated with Bowser. She's a Goomba.”

“What's so special about them outside of the fact they look more like mushrooms than humanoids and have no arms?” Alice asked.

“Goombas are usually affiliated with the Koopa Kingdom but Goombella actually helped Mario out in rescuing Princess Peach. She means no harm.” Cherry Nitori explained.

“YEAH! I just graduated the University of Goom! That's in Neutral Territory thank you very much!” Goomba yelled.

The doll dropped Goombella.

“Anyway, why did it bring me here? And who is this girl? Her eyes are funny.” Goombella asked.

“I'm a witch from Gensokyo. The name is Alice Margatroid. So you're one of the few Goombas welcomed in this kingdom?” Alice asked.

“Well, duh! I'm not the only person from the neutral territory of the Rogueport Island either! Vivian is here as well! Though lately things aren't well.” Goombella said.

“What happened?” Alice asked.

“The poor girl is reading up on this “grim future” that was prophesied by the strange MacGuffin we are hiding in the cellars of Princess Peach's Castle.” Goombella replied.

“What is this thing called?” Alice asked.

“'The Yellow Water', a yellow gem which is to bring back something that should have stayed dead. Other people call it 'Rogue' and I don't recommend you actually touch it. Apparently it corrupts people or something.” Goombella replied.

“You got to be more detailed than that!” Starlow said, “The Yellow Water was an item from another realm that died off a slow, painful, quiet death. We can tell because it glew faintly enough and the words 'Seru-Kai destroyed' and 'Destruction of the Great Genesis Tree' were brought up.”

Muyoko paused.

“Guys! Odd news! The book where I began studying this thing gave us these magic seeds for some reason! Maybe we should... Muyoko?” Vivian entered the area with Muyoko looking at her.

“...You guys... I actually have all the research needed to explain the destruction of the realm that thing came from...” Muyoko murmured as she shook.

“Oh yeah! Once we settle Alice down, we should continue playing that video game you brought over!” Princess Peach replied.

“Yeah... Let's do that.” Muyoko said as she cracked a nervous grimace.

“Oh dear. That must mean... Legend of Legaia's events could repeat themselves here.” Cherry Nitori gasped.

That's when the dinner they had that night became one debating how to destroy the strange MacGuffin in Princess Peach's basement before any of that could possibly happen.

TO BE CONTINUED...
Author's Note: Hey. This is a second attempt at a Mario fan fiction, this time the crossover is more obvious. I'd like to thank TNTtimelord (and my boyfriend, Nitori) for letting me add them into the story. There will be more characters from different things in this fan fiction but just to quickly elaborate, this is mainly supposed to be a crossover of Mario with Touhou Project and Legend of Legaia. Originally I was going to make this more elaborate by having sprite art and what-not, but I figured I at least write out the story first before actually doing stuff like that.

Vol. 1: Misty Mountains in the Kingdom of Autumn Mushrooms

Chapter 1: The Beautiful Town of Rim Elm
Spoiler: show
“So, killing off Rogue is our consensus?” a guy with a name-tag labeled 'TNTtimelord' asked everyone in the meeting.

“I guess so. There's no other way around it. This thing is already suffering heavy damage here, and not only that, it's confirmed to be dangerous and a source of what could possibly be the fall of the Mushroom Kingdom. It's not a strange scenario where Wart and Tatanga kill everyone off without any explanation though. We need to figure out how it'll kill us once we kill it. Put it down first, ask questions later. You get the picture?” Goombella replied as she piped up.

“Well, we don't know what CAN kill Rogue. Everything we do to Rogue is nothing, and yet Rogue is still sitting there like a dying dog waiting for something to put it out of its misery.” Starlow murmured.

“It's impossible for Luigi and I to jump on it.” a red-capped plumbler in bright blue overalls explained, “We're human and according to Vivian, it could corrupt us if we even touch it.”

“We'll probably have to figure out how we dispose 'The Yellow Water' soon. Otherwise, this realm's probability of existing will flush down the toilet instead.” Alice quipped carefully.

“What's this about disposin'?”

Everyone gasped and turned, except for Alice.

“It's Bowser!” Princess Peach said, “Oh no! Alice's dolls had no affect on him!”

Alice looked at the princess and then back at the strange giant green spiked-shell creature with fiery red hair. He eyed her curiously.

“Huh? Princess Peach was calling for a demolition team for once? This isn't like her at all! Not one bit. And you? Who might you be?” the creature known as Bowser asked.

“Alice Margatroid, Magician from the Realm of Gensokyo. Are you the same 'Bowser' they utter words about?” Alice asked.

“That's right! I'm the King of the Koopas! Wow, a brainy blonde. I think I might actually like you, kiddo.” Bowser said with a smirk.

Alice began shooting lasers at Bowser. Bowser used his shell to shield himself.

“WHOA! You're a feisty one, aren't you?!” Bowser laughed.

“Shut up. Why are you here?” Alice asked.

“Well, I was going to capture the princess again. Though, after looking at you a little more...” Bowser said as he observed Alice a little more.

Alice's eyes widened in rage, “I'D RATHER DIE!”

More lasers, this time more aggressive and actually hurt Bowser for once. Bowser roared in pain.

“I-I'll get you next time, Alice Margatroid... Ow... You're definitely much stronger than Mario. I don't know by how much though... Damn... I'll retreat, probably train my dexterity more as well. Ugh... That's going to be refreshing... A blondie who is better than the Princess in so many ways...”

Bowser left slowly, clenching his stomach still in pain. Each step he took he winced.

When things got silent, Princess Peach sighed, “I didn't even get captured this time. Thank you Alice.”

She attempted to kiss Alice on the cheek but she pushed her away, “I-I don't swing that way, Princess!”

“It wasn't a kiss that's romantic. That's the gratitude kiss of the Princess!” Toadsworth gruffed angrily.

“Oh...” Alice said, “Well, in Gensokyo, a kiss on the cheek is a little too intimate...”

“That's the quickest defeat of Bowser yet.” Mario said.

“Yeah, but by only 0.025 seconds.” Luigi sighed as he actually timed it.

“I was going to step in too, but now I know Bowser's now interested in you Ms. Margatroid.” Mario said, “Clearly you can take him on your own. Your 'Danmaku' or whatever you call it is...”

“BUT WHAT'S HIS DEAL?!” Alice asked.

“Bowser doesn't know the answer of 'No' very well. You can say he has a... Ehe... Reptilian brain.” Cherry Nitori explained.

“Well, he has some nerve just barging in here expecting people to marry him after carrying them over his painful looking shoulders... What an idiot!” Alice frowned.

“Now that the meeting is over, maybe we can play Muyoko's game again. We can learn more about Rogue's World that way.” Princess Peach said with a smile.

“Oh yeah! Well, I guess we can do that.” Cherry Nitori said as he helped Muyoko set up her laptop.

Over the course of Princess Peach's first hour playing the game, she began taking notes alongside Vivian. This is what they observed from the game.

1) In the case of the Mist coming to the Mushroom Kingdom, a wall can be built around the Kingdom and it's inhabitants but only for a short period of time.
2) A strange statue can be used to store memories of particular events in the game (otherwise 'Saving' the game.)
3) Genesis Trees are also a far superior alternative to removing the Mist.
4) Some Genesis Trees can awaken Ra-Seru.
5) Ra-Seru are Seru that aren't affected by the Mist, and are actually 'good'. Usually.
6) The first Seru encountered in the game is known as Gimard.
7) The first Ra-Seru encountered in the game is Meta.
8) Gimard has fire abilities
9) Gimard's abilities can be absorbed into Meta once you wear Meta.
10) Those with walls built around them send hunters to forage for food before the Mist hits them.
11) Seru WILL kill humans regardless if they are armed or not.
12) Seru will at best maim a human, making them unable to move properly ever again.
13) Seru in the Mist ARE dangerous. It is best to run to safety or lock your doors when the Seru attack, as it'll at least delay the inevitable.
14) Finally, just because a Genesis Tree saved one village, doesn't mean it saved another.

These notes were taken. Princess Peach nearly fell into tears though at the death of a character named 'Juno', the father of Vahn (the first character you play as)'s childhood friend, Mei. What's worse is that not long after people were mourning his death and preparing his burial, a character named Zeto appeared and summoned a monster to destroy the wall.

It didn't take long for them to figure out what to do, the Genesis Tree glowing showed it had a Ra-Seru inside as well that wanted out. That's how they met Meta. Ultimately, Rim Elm was saved but not without repercussions.

“Your majesty. There's been some horrible news.” Toadsworth said, interrupting the Princess before they left Rim Elm to the next town, in hopes it was the Biron Monastery so they can reunite Mei with her mother, the last living relative she has.

“What is it, Toadsworth? Is Bowser back? Another strange enemy?” Princess Peach asked as Muyoko saved the game again before they departed Rim Elm after returning again to get a Point Card up the stairs above the first shop in the game.

“Worse. Princess Daisy of Sarasaland... We've heard rumors, but I think we'll need to discuss this in private.” Toadsworth explained.

“Oh... Okay...” Princess Peach murmured awkwardly. She didn't understand Toadsworth's saddened expression. As she walked away, Muyoko looked at Vivian.

“You've been awfully quiet, Viv. What's up?” Muyoko asked.

“I'm... Happy your boyfriend is here with you. That's all...” Vivian replied, not sounding happy in the slightest.

“Oh, I see what's up. I'm sorry I...” Muyoko replied quietly.

“This is all very strange to me! There's some correlation with him being here and Rogue!” Vivian said.

“Not really... It's more like there's correlation with Alice and Rogue being here.” Muyoko shook her head.

“Oh really? How is it I got these, huh? Is your boyfriend trying to help?!” Vivian roared in anger.

“Well...”

“If that's the case. He's doing a good job.” Vivian said finally smiling, “Cherry Nitori must know that these are the seeds to the Genesis Tree. I don't know how he did it, but we should plant them in Peach's garden so the Toad Village surrounding us can be protected by the Mist. According to my calculations, the Mist can be pushed away enough to save every Toadstool within the village. This is only in case of an attack however.”

“Oh! That's great! He actually never played the game though. He only knew about certain events because of me.” Muyoko laughed nervously.

“Certain events?” Vivian asked.

Before Muyoko can explain, Princess Peach returned to the room bawling, “OH DAISY! POOR DAISY!!!”

“That's not good.” Vivian said as she stood up to help comfort Peach, “What happened?”

“It's terrible! A strange monster showed up and...” Princess Peach sobbed before bawling again.

“Oh...” Muyoko murmured. She looked outside and saw TNTtimelord positioned away from the window, towards the wall with a face of grief. Prince Peasley was trying to comfort Luigi, only for Luigi to hug Peasley and kept on crying in his arms.

Muyoko searched for Toadsworth.

“That rumor... Was it just confirmed true?” Muyoko asked.

Toadsworth nodded, “I just got a letter from the Ambassador of Sarasaland. They said a strange fog appeared despite the arid landscape and climate and a bright sunny day... It disappeared for a bit and soon, they found a peculiar creature attacking the poor girl.”

“Was she maimed? ...or...” Muyoko asked again more seriously.

“I'm sorry Muyoko. The last living family member of Princess Peach... is no more.” Toadsworth finally announced.

“...Oh God...” Muyoko said.

The whole town was silent for the rest of the morning. The Ambassadors, as if to add insult to injury, brought her lifeless body over. Starlow and Goombella looked at the mortal wounds Daisy had. Near the upper abdomen, where her skirt began, there were obvious stab wounds. Two of them. Outside of that, they noticed Daisy also suffered immense pain from electrocution. Whatever this creature was, it was an unfriendly one. Looking for a hand in marriage is the least of its concern. It was a destructive force that doesn't matter who you are.

Princess Peach cried as they helped Daisy down a deep grave, just within Peach's garden.

People were silent for the rest of the day. Princess Peach didn't touch the game, waiting to unravel more mysteries. The cellar wasn't touched by either Starlow or Vivian. TNTtimelord resumed writing his Pokemon fan fiction in silence. Everyone thanked the heavens above that Bowser did not interfere with the funeral and wake of Princess Daisy.

Muyoko just sat there looking at her computer screen. Blank. Blank. Blank.

She groaned. She was trying to pretend nothing happened. Frustrated, Muyoko decided to play another video game: Fire Emblem Fates, but only to visit her castles. She said good morning to all her units, including her children and spouses in the game. She eventually broke into tears however, when she met with one character in particular.

“I've got my eye on you. I like the way you fight.”

Muyoko sobbed.

“I'm sorry... I'm sorry...”

A woman with short blonde hair wearing red armor and a black headband to pull any excess hair back was greeting her in her character's bedroom. Tears were shed around the woman's face.

There was a knock on the door.

Muyoko opened the door. It was Cherry Nitori, and Vivian.

“Muyoko... Are you okay?” Vivian asked, “Did what we discovered last night...”

“What could we have done?!” Muyoko cried, “We didn't know what was going on! We didn't know where that fog came from and whether or not it was related to the game or not! What could we have done?!”

There was a shake from the ground as Muyoko said that. It was just one, but something felt weird.

It didn't matter. Muyoko cried in Cherry Nitori and Vivian's arms.

“There, there... Daisy wouldn't want us to cry for her.” Cherry said, “She lived a good life.”

Muyoko looked at him, “R-really?”

Cherry nodded.

“Yeah...” Vivian said, “And remember, Muyoko. We can prevent Princess Peach from suffering the same fate.”

That night, Alice had a visitor in the form of a green haired girl with a white umbrella and a red plaid attire, a yellow scarf and a wicked smile. Alice gasped at first before she realized who she was.

“Yuuka. Good evening...” Alice groaned angrily.

“Good evening, Alice.” the woman Alice addressed as Yuuka replied, resting by Alice's window.

“What brings you here?” Alice asked.

“I'm afraid I have some bad news. You and I can not return to Gensokyo. Not until one of us fulfills our goals here.” Yuuka replied.

“Goals? Here?”

Yuuka smirked before she responded, “We have purpose here. While you are to aid the Mushroom Kingdom, I am to be your enemy... Mufufu... The little Toads in this realm are as pathetic as the humans in Gensokyo. I'm looking forward to defeating you, but until then, we will meet again sometime after the Mist closes in on this darling little castle you call a home.”

“Yuuka, what do you mean?” Alice asked.

“You see, Alice... I'll be in charge of bringing back the Mist my allies 'Oh so want back'.” Yuuka replied, “Au revoir, mademoiselle.”

She departed the Castle. Alice tried to follow her but she was gone. She gasped. She had a new priority now. The protection of everyone from the Mist.

The next morning, a Toad came running with perplexing news.

“A giant wall surrounds a portion of the beach in our Kingdom! Many beach goers are going to investigate it!” the Toad said as he was looking very surprised.

“A giant wall?”

“Well, the ocean part isn't there. What we found was a small group of humans making a village with five houses somehow! Though some of the men and women are holding canes and walking with them limping like they broke their back, but the most of them all look so young and beautiful!” the Toad explained to Princess Peach.

“Oh my. Let's welcome them to the Mushroom Kingdom. We shouldn't be rude!” Princess Peach exclaimed.

“Uhh... Princess?” Alice asked.

“C'mon Alice! Let's meet our new friends!” Princess Peach said smiling.

It took a little while for them to get there, but eventually, they saw the gate had a door.

“Let's knock, shall we?” Princess Peach said smiling.

She knocked.
“Who is it?” An angry English accent asked, his voice clear and his language articulate, as if he was formerly a butler at a royal palace.

“I'm the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. May we speak with your leader?” Princess Peach asked.

The smaller door for where the eyes can see opened. Princess Peach was greeted with dark gray eyes glaring at her irritated. He let out a sigh of relief before he began opening the gate.

“Welcome to our Fort.” the man announced.

There, the Princess saw an interesting view. Children were at play at the shore, Some of the women were sitting in chairs knitting and sewing clothes and discussing war stories together and then she notice some of the few able-bodied men in the establishment throwing lances and axes at a target.

TNTtimelord however noticed some familiar individuals talking with two of the patriarchs, both men limping on canes but still trying to stand tall and proud in front of them.

“Team Aqua? Team Magma? What brings you here?!” TNTtimelord asked surprised.

There was a chubby dark haired man in a red, yellow, and black outfit turning to see TNTtimelord. Alongside him was a taller, stronger man with a torn blue, teal, and white swimsuit and a woman wearing a similar swimsuit alongside her. Both of them had bright cyan highlights in their otherwise poppy-seed black hair. The woman had her arms around another dark-haired girl wearing a sleeveless top that covered her breasts, two red flowers and a sky blue sarong as well as red wrist and ankle bands.

“Well, we can't be called that anymore since it's just the three of us and Phoebe of the Elite Four...” the chubby man explained.

“I'm Xander of the Kingdom of Nohr.” The first patriarch, a fair skinned blonde haired man with dark red eyes wearing black armor. Princess Peach noticed his limping was from a severely damaged leg on his left.

“And I am Ryoma of the Kingdom of Hoshido.” The second patriarch, a sword master that made the Princess think about Japanese samurai warriors as he wore red and white armor. She also noticed his limping was from a heavily damaged leg on his right.

“Together, these men are the leaders of the Fort. When we first got here, the damage to their bodies was significantly a part because of how we got here and a part because of the creatures that have shown up whenever a strange fog comes Northward from the Beach.” the man escorting them into the gate said, his silver hair making him stand out somewhat.

TNTtimelord looked around, “Goodness... Those men have no arms! Their wives are having to feed them!”

Ryoma sighed, “My brother Takumi is one of those men. He used to be an exceptional archer.”

Xander looked away, “As my brother was a powerful dark knight. It's as if our holy weapons are becoming obsolete.”

“We are losing men here. Pretty soon, we will have to send the second generation outside these walls to hunt in our stead.” Xander continued as he bit his lips.

“Who is outside already?” Princess Peach asked.

“My brother, Rioci and Ryoma's sister, Miyako are beginning to assemble a team of explorers to hunt for us.” Xander replied.

“It's obvious their husbands and wives are coming with them, but the men and women chosen for the third group are going to be picked.” Ryoma replied.

“I see.” TNTtimelord replied.

“We should take Muyoko here. They also look like characters from the popular Fire Emblem game that came out... without the casualties of course.” Princess Peach replied.

“Tell Rioci and Miyako to take their spouses to our palace to represent this fort. In return, we'll send our men and women here to help you guys out. There's no need to be foraging for food.” TNTtimelord began to explain.

“About that...” Xander coughed.

“We would gladly enjoy your help, however, lately this strange fog could come near your Castle at any moment.” Ryoma explained, “As for us, there's only a few short hours for us to come with you before the Mist comes around our fort. If you can ensure my sister's safety, we'll let your men enter.”

“In the mean time, I will be in charge of the hunting group for today's agenda, if that is the case.” the gray-haired servant said.

“Oh! Why thank you, Sir...” Princess Peach began to speak.

“Jakob.” the gray-haired man said, interrupting the princess.

“By the way, can you tell me the description for your two siblings?” Princess Peach asked.

“They're twins with soft pink eyes... the pink in the dress you wear, your majesty. However, my brother is the one in Nohrian armor, the colors of black and yellow. He has dark skin and bright green hair.” Xander replied explaining to her.

“My sister is the girl in red and yellow, the colors of Hoshido. She also has dark skin and her hair is a much lighter green.” Ryoma replied.

“If you'll find him, he's probably going to tell his daughters farewell. He'll be seen with my retainer, Peri and my brother's retainer, Niles.” Xander said with a smile.

“My sister must be telling her sons to guard their house while she's out. She's also seen with our tactician, Yukimura.” Ryoma replied.

“Thank you very much! Oh, and TNTtimelord?” Princess Peach looked to the man.

“Yeah?” TNTtimelord asked.

“Thank you for escorting me here. You're such a gentleman!” Princess Peach kissed TNTtimelord on the cheek before running off. TNTtimelord blushed gently.

“You have such a friendly princess.” Xander said frowning.

“We have younger sisters much like her, but we should probably keep an eye on her. She looks like she could get in trouble.” Ryoma nodded in agreement.

“The Princess does get captured a lot, but she has very loyal retainers. If you are worried about her, you can come with us as well.” TNTtimelord said.

“That would be a great idea!” Tabitha chipped in excitedly.

“Alright! This is going to be fun! Just a bunch of bros eating luxurious food at the Princess's palace!” Matt smiled excitedly.

“We'll actually have a roof under us that doesn't smell of a barn!” Tabitha said grabbing Matt's hand.

“The mood overall is going to be GREAT!” Matt bellowed.

Xander and Ryoma shook their heads.

“You know these men?” Xander asked TNTtimelord.

“Unfortunately, but right now they don't seem to be of any threat.” TNTtimelord replied rubbing his temples in annoyance.

“Very well. We should go to the Princess's Palace.” Xander replied, “We'll see who brings the most food afterwards, Jakob.”

“Challenge accepted, Lord Xander.” Jakob bowed, “I shall tell my sons.”

The Princess meanwhile was searching for the people fitting Xander and Ryoma's description. Along the way she bumped into a teal haired man in glasses and a black apron. He was able-bodied, though it was obvious he wasn't practicing anything particularly spectacular. He had a yellow booklet in his arms.

“Oh! Forgive me, Miss. I must be awfully clumsy today.” The man replied, trying to pick himself up.

“Is everything okay? I'm looking for a Ree-ohh-chee and a Mee-yah-koh. Anyone you know with that name?” Princess Peach asked.

“Why yes. Lady Miyako is my wife. She's prepping everyone for the hunting trip for today.” the man said, “You must not be from around here. Are you Princess Peach by any chance?”

“Why yes. Are you Yukimura?” Princess Peach asked.

The man smiled, “You must have learned a lot from Lord Ryoma. I was about to give her the attendance sheet so we can tally who can join us. We can only allow eight people a group unfortunately, so we need to see who left already.”

“There's no need for that. I need to talk with her, You and your wife are invited to my royal palace for an important meeting. There, you can figure out what you all should eat in the meantime!” Princess Peach said.

“O-Oh dear... I'm afraid none of us are prepared for a business meeting like that.” Yukimura gasped. He looked around, “We'll come with you, but please be warned, we must return to the fort before the sun sets.”

Princess Peach nodded, “Very well! It's a deal.”

The hunters were assembled. In the group hunting today is Jakob, a red-haired man with a lance and wearing attire more suited for a man riding a mount, Subaki, a red-haired man in ninja attire, Saizou, a tall blonde haired man with a scar on his face, Benny, a female warrior wearing an oni-mask for a hat and red markings on her face, Rinkah, a blue haired woman who seemed to be glaring at Jakob and Benny angrily, Oboro, a woman with baby blue hair holding an axe with a broken purple cape, Belka, and finally, a woman in red pigtails making a pouting expression, Selena.

Saizou was saying farewell to his son, Asugi, “My son. If your mother, Belka, and I don't come back, take care of Kagero and Setsuna for me. Make sure their daughters are safe.”

“Sure, dad.” The man groaned.

“Son, this is an important matter. Remember that.” Saizou replied to his sons backlash more irritatedly.

“I know, Dad.” The man said angrily back.

TNTtimelord was seeing similar interactions. Subaki and Rinkah were telling their daughter, Caeldori farewell, with Selena also hugging her and telling her the same warnings.

“Take care of Daddy while Mommy is out!” Oboro said, “And if I don't come back, make sure Daddy is safe. I love you.”

“Okay, Mommy.” The boy Takumi and Oboro raised together said, running back to his armless father.

Benny walked towards his small wife, Elise and hugged her, “I'll miss you.”

“I'm going to miss you too! But if you die, I'm going to be very sad!” Elise said, “Don't make me sad, okay?”

Benny nodded, “Yes, Princess.”

“Ignatius and Ophelia will be safe. I'll protect them too!” Elise said smiling.

“Thank you for relieving me, Princess...” Benny said before moving with them to the hunting group.

TNTtimelord and Princess Peach watched, TNTtimelord observed, “Jakob doesn't have a family?”

“He does,” Xander said, “It's just he already said good-bye to them before the hunting groups were arranged. His sons are the only family he has. His wife... died before we got here.”

“Oh no! That's very sad!” Princess Peach said frowning.

“Before this event transpired, we were at war with each other,” Ryoma explained, “The Hoshidans and the Nohrians were once sworn enemies. However, Rioci and Miyako both collaborated on killing King Garon of Nohr, who was actually a monster in disguise.”

Xander closed his eyes and sighed, “Azura, Kaze, and Shura were warriors that died in the process. Odin and Lazlow soon disappeared long after, with news that 'they were returning home'.”

“During an attempt at Lord Xander's coronation, we lost Azama and the land of Hoshido. However, we found a way to stop Nohr from getting destroyed next. We reached the land of Valla with the help of a mysterious stranger. In that time, we planned the coronation of Shigure and Dwyer, Jakob's sons and the rightful rulers of Valla. However a new enemy struck us.” Ryoma continued the explanation.

“They're names were Gilbert and Justine. They said they were the children of the dark dragon Grima. They destroyed more than just Valla. They've happened to destroyed Nohr and what was left of our realm. We heard women and children screaming as strange creatures... the ones we find in the Mist...” Xander began to cry, “We somehow managed to survive because the Mist took us here...”

“We need to prevent the same events to happening to this realm. This realm is surprisingly very peaceful compared to our home.” Ryoma replied.

“Alright. I shall take Rioci and Miyako to and their spouses to come with us. We have learned enough.” TNTtimelord said, “You follow the Princess with Tabitha and Matt.”

“Oh boy...” Shelly, the woman with the blue highlight in her hair frowned.

“Hey, it'll be fine. We'll get to meet new people next!” Phoebe, the girl in the blue sarong explained to Shelly.

Muyoko was walking with Vivian and Cherry Nitori as well as Luigi, Peasley, and Goombella. Alice came with them as well. They were walking to the fort built by their new visitors.

“TNTtimelord told me this was the place.” Muyoko explained.

“It's surprisingly very big looking. Are villages really this big?” Vivian asked.

“They actually have a whole army inside. But many of the humans here are sent to forage outside. According to my anthropology books, they are turning into a hunting-gathering group of humans, that which existed during the dawn of human civilization. But why? They clearly are more evolved than that! Look, they already have a female farmer in their group!” Goombella explained as she was greeted through the door by a very scared girl with dusty grey pigtails holding white flowers.

“M-my name is Mozu. I'm married to Leo of Nohr. W-would you like some vegetable soup? My son and I were growing these plants, so they should be 100% natural.” the girl said.

“I think we'll be okay.” Peasley said as he unsurprisingly looked away.

“Oh my, Mother...”

Everyone saw Mozu's child, a boy wearing surprisingly fashionable attire for a villager.

“Are these our visitors? They all look very futuristic.” He giggled.

“Oh! Forrest. Why yes of course. Is something wrong?” Mozu asked.

“Well... It's Father. He's afraid of the Pink Mushroom girl.” Forrest replied.

“Hey! My name is Goombella, and tell him he's being inconsiderate!” Goombella yelled.

“I'm Prince Peasley of the Beanbean Kingdom. And the Shadow Siren is Vivian.” Prince Peasley explained.

Starlow appeared from underneath Luigi's hat.

“Whaa!” Luigi gasped surprised.

“I'm Starlow, the Star Sprite. The humans who have greeted you today are Luigi, Nitori, and Muyoko.” Starlow explained.

“I'm Muyoko.” Muyoko said, adjusting her glasses.

“I'm Nitori.” Cherry Nitori waved gently.

“and I'm Luigi. I'm one of Princess Peach's vassals.” Luigi explained, arms around his hips making a proud stance.

“It's very nice to meet you.” Forrest said, shaking everyone's hands.

“O-of course...” Vivian blushed.

They got a tour of the town. That's how Muyoko and Company observed the armless Leo and Takumi, which made Muyoko vomit in shock. Along the way, they also met with other second generation children, Sophie who was trying to figure out a way to carry her father, now completely a paraplegic after the loss of her mother, Felicia in the Mist, Velouria, Caeldori's sister and hunter in training, and Soleil, a girl whose father disappeared after the victory of Rioci and Miyako had killing King Garon.

“This town is pretty small now that I think about it...” Vivian said.

“Well, you need space to tend the fields.” Forrest explained, “Otherwise, this fort here will be dying of hunger. Surprisingly these fields are good for harvest, but the salt water from the ocean combined with the sand gives the vegetables a very... salty taste.”

“Forrest and I are the only ones tending the fields. So it takes as long as hunting to gather all the plants in our daily harvest. We don't have any animals so, that's what happened.” Mozu replied.

“The fields are for more than just that, Setsuna, Kagero, Mitama and Midori gather medicinal herbs in the fields, so we have lots of help. We are afraid pretty soon, if we don't get a successful hunt, we might starve to death.” Forrest said devastated.

“I implore you, if you need food, come to the Toad Village. We'll get you what you need.” Muyoko replied.

“I recommend you battle us first.”

Muyoko turned. There was a short boy wearing the clothes of an 'Omnyoji', though they were brown. Behind him was a Lance wielding guy with a brown ponytail, and a blond haired man holding an axe.

“Three against five of your toughest warriors!” the boy said, “Winner decides where we go!”

Muyoko smirked, “Hayato, this is getting childish. But I'll do it.”

“H-How do you know my name?!” Hayato asked alarmed.

“It's... Kind of a long story.” Muyoko replied.

The fight was a tutorial on different abilities.

“Muyoko! Blondie's Axe over there is a ranged weapon. You might need to block Vivian and Luigi from the attack!” Starlow explained.

“I figured that much.” Muyoko said.

The blond, Arthur threw his Axe towards Vivian, Vivian saw Muyoko parry it.

“OW!” Muyoko said as she got an axe impaled into her chest. Muyoko winced pulling it out.

“Hmph. Some strong warriors you are. You can't handle pain?” Hayato explained.

“Luigi, can you heal her?” Starlow asked.

Luigi nodded as he handed Muyoko a Healing Mushroom. As Muyoko ate it, her wounds recovered. She was ready to fight again.

“Peasley, your sword might have trouble fighting back against the brunet in the freaky ponytail!” Starlow announced.

And she was right. Peasley parried the brunet, Hinata but only for the rapier he wielded to get damaged somewhat.

“We'll have to take that to a Blacksmith to recover it eventually.” Starlow laughed nervously.

Hayato's turn. Hayato sent a strange heat wave to the team making them uncomfortable.

“Alright. Muyoko, you have this weird thing called Arts. You should do a Somersault on Hayato once you brace yourself.” Starlow exclaimed.

“What about Luigi?”

“Luigi sadly only can jump over enemies. You sadly don't have those abilities, but guess what, you can kick that little brat's butt!” Starlow bellowed.

“Hey! I'm not a kid!” Hayato frowned.

Of course, Muyoko did a Somersault Kick towards Hayato, who felt only mild pain from the attack.

“O-Ow... Guess you pack a punch.”

“Peasley, while Ponytail here damaged your rapier, you can still damage Blondie since his axe is no match. Try it out!” Starlow said.

“With pleasure!” Peasley smirked. He swiftly poked Arthur who tried to parry. Luckily the rapier didn't pierce too deeply in his skin.

“Oof! I see you too are a clever warrior.” Arthur coughed.

“Goombella, I want to see you try a spin attack on Hinata. You also have an 'Arts' button.” Starlow explained.

“Very well! Here I go!” Goombella yelled.

Goombella span around and it Hinata with her ponytail. His lance couldn't do anything as he was failing to whack her with it thanks to the helmet over her head.

“Ow!! Wow! You're really swift!

“That leaves Vivian with doing the last attack. It doesn't do much damage, but it should persuade them to give up.” Starlow explained.

“Okay...” Vivian said. She did a huge attack, known as the Fiery Jinx. It made them uncomfortably warm.

“I... uhhh... I should probably change clothes...” Hayato said blushing.

“Is it hot in here, or is it just me?” Hinata said smirking.

“Guh! This probably wasn't a good idea to wear this...” Arthur groaned angrily.

“Can the tutorial end now? You guys really sucked back there.” Starlow said frowing.

“Very well... I can tell you this however. We'll move to your village if we get less hunters returning here alive than the amount that left.” Hayato replied.

“In the meantime, it should bring us a greater justice if we introduce you to our children.” Arthur said, “That is, once my clothes stop being on fire.”

“Hey. Maybe next time we'll get a round two?” Hinata asked making a playful wink.

Starlow yelled, “I doubt it. Worst case scenario, you're an optional boss!”

“Optional boss, huh? I actually like that.” Hayato grinned.

The trio retreated. The wives treated their wounds but not before scolding them for picking a fight with travelers.

Mozu laughed, “I guess they wanted to fight you guys since one of you must be a Mario Brother.”

“That'll be me!” Luigi said proudly.

“Wow! I'd be damned! You really must be a serious opponent!” Mozu gasped.

“Not really.” Goombella said.

“This is strange, no report of Bowser right now...” Peasley said, “Usually it's around this time we get a phone call from him saying he's captured the Princess.”

“You have a person that captures your Princess?!” Mozu gasps.

“Every other month, I guess.” Luigi scratches his head, “I guess it's because he's training his army to capture Alice. He's no longer interested in Princess Peach.”

“Who's Alice?” Mozu asks.

“She's a visitor from the land of Gensokyo. She uses magic.” Cherry Nitori explained, “Also, I think we should meet up with Rioci and Miyako's children. They must miss their parents by now.”

“That reminds me! I have a date with Rhajat!” Forrest gasped.

“Return home safely!” Mozu said waving Forrest back.

“We should probably try to eat that magic 'shroom you gave Muyoko earlier.” Mozu said, “It might bring Leo's arms back.”

“Sadly, that's...” Luigi sighed.

Peasley groaned as Luigi said that.

“Well, we can try it at least.” Luigi laughed.

Meanwhile, Xander and Ryoma sat down for a feast alongside Princess Peach. Toadsworth served everyone a strange delicacy: Peach and Mushroom Toast, with a side of Radish Wine and Carrot Juice.

“This is surprisingly vegetarian.” Xander said as he sipped the Radish Wine.

“That a problem?” Peach asked curiously.

“Well no...” Ryoma replied as he sipped his.

Toadsworth explained, “The process of bringing meat and dairy here was a long and painful one for many of our ancestors. The better solution was growing our own food and farming crops. It is in equinox all around here, which is probably why everyone here loves it. However, we do have livestock, it's only for dairy products. When Bowser's men usually raid though, they take some of our livestock and well... eat them like meat.”

“I see.” Xander said as he sipped his wine again, “We did notice a lot of strange creatures on our way here. We've even eaten a large insect crawling around these strange lands.”

“You mean a Wiggler? Those creatures actually speak!” Princess Peach said after doing a spit take.

“They do?!” Xander asked, eyes widened.

“Though you can't really reason with them once they get angry. That must be why you guys were able to kill one and eat it.” Toadsworth explained, “They actually grow their own food much like us Toads.”

Ryoma frowned, “We should be grateful for your hospitality.”

“Don't be sorry! My family was just as confused when we learned we don't eat meat. Not unless the cow or chicken happened to die of a natural occurrence. It's only in tradition for the Toads in this realm.” Princess Peach said.

“So meat is only on special occasions.” Ryoma thought to himself.

“It shouldn't matter, brother. This food is delicious!” Rioci said after he chewed on the toast.

“Yeah, the Peach Jam is very rich. It tastes just like Sakura's cooking!” Miyako said.

“I don't mind another bite if you are, Rioci.” A white haired rogue with one eye said as he picked up a knife.

“I'm just happy we were invited.” A blonde girl, the same one that was on Muyoko's 3DS said as her red armor got peach dropped on it.

“I don't mind eating this if it doesn't kill any animals... At least, if that's what we're implying.” A girl with bright pink and blue hair said cheerfully.

“Now how much does it cost to bring these things home with us?” A blonde haired girl wearing a buxom bikini top with white and blue triangles asked.

“We should celebrate later that we finally got a taste of luxury in this town!” A man with stark white hair and a marking on his forehead said smiling.

“How about we just bring the rest of the group here. I'm sure Lord Leo wouldn't mind it.” Another man, a scrawny sorcerer in red and gold said as he sipped his carrot juice.

“The sun is beginning to set. I'm sorry, Princess. We must return to the fort.” Yukimura said frowning.

“Really?” Princess Peach asked.

“Yes. This is what I promised. You can walk back with us if you want.” Yukimura said.

“Of course! We wouldn't want to leave you boys alone without your families waiting for you.” Princess Peach said smiling.

“You're too kind!” Yukimura said blushing.

Miyako smiled, “I hope tomorrow we can pack up and move in. I think everyone would rather live among your Toadstools than in the beach. In fact, I think we can finally have vegetables that don't taste like table salt and sand.”

“You're very wise, Lady Miyako!” Tabitha intervened, “Matt and I already discussed the matters with TNTtimelord. He's willing to let us stay!”

Miyako nodded, “I think my boys would enjoy playing with other boys their age for once. In fact, it might be around their time they learn diplomacy.”

“Well isn't this exciting. We haven't stepped outside and already we start missing this place!” Izana chirped.

“In the meantime, the Princess and I can investigate further on the source of the Mist.” TNTtimelord explained.

“We're looking forward to figuring out the source.” Yukimura said smiling.

As they walked together, they noticed something strange when Princess Peach knocked at the door.

“Oh! It's Xander and Ryoma!” Mozu said, “This is good. We just met with Luigi and his team. They have a powerful tactician with them too!”

“Oh. That's very nice.” Princess Peach said with a smile.

“Has the Hunting group returned?” Yukimura asked.

“Not yet. You're just in time though, Shigure and Dwyer are about to perform a song.” Mozu said as she opened the door.

“May we listen?” Princess Peach asked.

“Of course!” Rioci responded excitedly, “You can return with Luigi and the others once we await our hunting group. This is very odd. Supper for us is usually around the corner.”

“That's great!” Princess Peach smiled.

“My daughter, Puera is going to perform with them as well.” The man in the red and gold hat said with a smile.

“Well, you seem awfully prideful of that, Zola-Cola.” Miyako said crossing her arms.

“Dearie! I can't help it! She has a beautiful singing voice! Just like her mother!” Zola said as he snuggled beside Miyako.

“Miyako, we should be happy we have raised someone under all these circumstances.” Yukimura said, leaning in to hug her as well.

“Puppy pile!” The white haired guy chimed in, hugging everyone at the same time.

As everyone assembled around a circle around the center, they began hearing a beautiful melody from a trio of singers consisting of a girl wearing the same gold and red hat as her father, only instead of a scandalous sorcerer's attire, she dressed like a siren perfect for the beach as well as Jakob's sons, Shigure and Dwyer.

“Shigure and Dwyer are Jakob's sons, who lost their mother long ago.” Princess Peach explained to the everyone.

“I see.” TNTtimelord nodded in agreement.

“Azura was a beautiful singer. The day she died was a sad one.” Rioci explained as his husband, the white haired rogue, laid his head over his shoulder and his wives, the blonde in red armor, the blonde girl in the white bow, and the woman with pink and blue hair, laid over him.

“I hope they're just as beautiful sounding...” Tabitha said as he rested his head over Matt.

“Something tells me this song's going to be a serenade.” Muyoko said.

Shigure and Dwyer began to sang familiar lyrics with Puera, the daughter of Zola and Miyako. Muyoko and Nitori looked at each other as they realized they were singing, “The Man Who Sold The World” by David Bowie. TNTtimelord rolled his eyes at the pretentiousness, but Muyoko and Cherry Nitori eventually sang along.

As the song ended, there was a knock from the door.

“Everyone! Let us in!” A terrified voice beckoned Mozu.

“That sounded like Benny!” Elise gasped.

Everyone opened the door.

“Benny!” Elise gasped as she jumped up to hug him, “Benny! Is everything okay? Did we get dinner?”

Benny, the talk hulking man then showed Elise to the four warriors carrying three bodies into the room.

“Is that...” Elise gasped as Saizou and Belka put down one body. Rinkah was crying as she and Oboro carried another body.

Everyone began circling around the bodies.

“Umm... Princess, this shouldn't be your concern...” TNTtimelord tried to calm her down, but she raced to see what happened.

Elise gasped, “No! It can't be... Jakob... He...”

Shigure and Dwyer raced with Princess Peach as soon as they heard 'Jakob'.

“Father!” Shigure cried out.

“Father...” Dwyer cried out although very softly.

Princess Peach saw what happened to Jakob finally. There were bruises over his body, as if he were crushed by hands larger than Bowser. What's worse is that it looked like Jakob was cooked from the inside out. She barely recognized it was him if it wasn't for his silver hair and his horrified dark grey eyes.

“No...” Shigure cried, “This isn't right. Father... Father wake up...”

“I'm... I'm sorry, Father...” Dwyer said as he silently tried to comfort Shigure.

Rioci and Miyako sat there, Miyako clenching her fists.

“Miyako...” Yukimura whispered softly, trying to help her out.

Miyako punched the ground, “GOD DAMN IT, JAKOB!!”

Miyako punched it again, “God damn it...”

Yukimura, his two co-husbands, Puera, and her two sons, both came to comfort her as she slowly began tearing up.

What's worse than that was Caeldori crying with Velouria. The two of them lost their mother, and Caeldori especially lost a father figure in her life. Rinkah and Caeldori and Velouria's father, Keaton cried with them, Keaton howling at the moon above them.

It had come to a conclusion that everyone move to safety with Princess Peach in the Toad Village. There was an awful silence that covered the kingdom, one that was just as devastatingly cold as when Princess Daisy died. They planned to return to the fort to send Jakob, Subaki, and Selena off to sea. It's been told their divine Gods can send them back into the next life.

“Mama...” A little girl belonging to Rioci told her mother, the one with the freckles and the red armor, “I hate the Mist. They always take people away.”

Muyoko watched this interaction between the two.

“Oh Noa, if only we knew where it came from. Then we can show them what's what, right?” the woman said. Noa hugged her, “Mama...”

Muyoko smiled. She knew where the name Noa came from, but she didn't want to tell her mother that. She knew where the name Puera came from as well, however, telling the one called Zola that would alarm both him and his wife. She sat down with Cherry Nitori as the songbirds known as Shigure and Dwyer no longer tweeted a melody, not even a requiem that can fit with their devastation.

“First their mother... Now their father. This is terrible Mario.” Luigi said looking down.

“I know. If we knew we weren't going to see our parents again, we would have at least told them good bye.” Mario murmured to himself, looking away in shame.

“Hey Mario? We should do something for them, and for the other people without their parents right now?” Luigi said.

“Not right now, Luigi. What we need to do is kill Rogue. I think it's the one behind all these unwanted deaths.” Mario said.

“If only we can though. Remember, Mario. This 'Rogue' is not Bowser. We can't just send it into boiling lava. We did that over one hundred times with both, and only Bowser is the one getting damaged. But these people... We've seen Princess Daisy was electrocuted to death! We've seen Subaki and Severa boiled alive! We've seen a butler that was rumored to be so articulate and dexterous made into a baked potato! And it wasn't their lives the Mist destroyed, but the people around them. Leo and Takumi are armless! The damage done to Xander and Ryoma is so bad, they barely can walk right. Silas is now a stump, having to be carried by a motherless Sophie. You see what has happened, Mario? The Mist is destroying worlds. We have to do something for the---” Luigi said worringly.

“Luigi, I know.” Mario said silencing him, “Please. Remember, this is a challenge we have to face together. I don't know how I can bring these people's lives back.”

Luigi looked away, “I'll be in Peasley's room if you need anything, big brother.”

Luigi walked away, as Mario collapsed into an angry mess. He began destroying things in his room, all his trophies he won, all his lights... What stopped him was the face of Princess Peach, the face he saw when he first met her, smiling at the camera during his first rescue.

“I'm sorry Princess...” Mario sobbed, “but this Castle... I...”

He stopped himself as he finally went back to brooding quietly.

The next morning, there was a new visitor, but not even the children were happy to greet them.
He was a hooded figure, one in a purple cloak. He had a strange mask on, with strange symbols and a peculiar looking outfit on.

“How do you do, ladies and gentleman of Toad Village?” The man said, parting his wavy silver hair. It was the only actually distinguishable feature people could notice at the moment since he had so much on concealing his identity. In fact, that's what made people too suspicious of him.

“And who might you be?” TNTtimelord asked angrily.

“I am Torc of a humble realm known as Kromcan. I have come hearing rumors of your giant yellow gem. Could you tell me where you store it?” the man asked.

“That won't be necessary.” Muyoko replied as she frowned angrily.

“Ah, but you see, I'm a connoisseur of such rare gems, I would have loved to see it in person actually.” the man said grinning in glee under his mask.

“I said, we will not show you... Your majesty.” Muyoko said as she bared her teeth.

“Ohoho... I am not a member of royalty like you think, my dear lady...” The man said as he bowed to her.

“She's not a lady. I am.” Alice said chiming in.

“We want you out of our town. Immediately.” Muyoko hissed.

The man's grin turned into a frown, “Is this not the Mushroom Kingdom? I heard of how friendly the townspeople are. I guess I horribly misjudged you.” The man known as Torc said as he turned away.

As he left he glared back at Muyoko, “By the way... I'll obey your orders, but I will return shortly, possibly in much more... friendly attire.”

“LEAVE!” Muyoko roared.

As the man left, everyone gave him glares, showing that even a child could not trust him.

“Muyoko, I felt something bad about that man. He's... uncomfortably familiar.” Cherry Nitori murmured.

“It's obvious who he is by now, but I don't need to tell everyone; They know as well.” Muyoko said as she hugged him, “That's why I didn't say his real name.”

The rest of the day was quiet as usual, with the only other new event coming from Alice.

“Muyoko, I would like to propose something that would make Luigi happy.” Alice announced.

Muyoko looked back at Alice to ask, “Yes, what is it?”

“It's about the refugee children that we have. I would like to be a teacher for them.” Alice explained, “It can help them for the future.”

Muyoko shook her head and told her, “You barely left the palace in this realm. If you are looking for a means for teaching them, you have to learn about this place yourself.”

“I see... B-but, I am very great at teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Plus, I can teach them German!” Alice said as she excitedly stood up.

Muyoko laughed, “Well if you're going to teach German, you have to expect some immaturity. Trust me, Cherry Nitori learned German in a classroom and the students there were not as well-behaved as you might expect.”

Alice blushed as she heard Muyoko said that, “B-but... I'm pretty sure these children are different!”

Luigi piped up, “German isn't really that necessary in the Toad Village. However, if you really want to teach the children of Hoshido and Nohr something new, I suggest teaching Italian. A lot of the Toads are picking it up and using it for keeping secrets. It might help the nosier of the kids at least becoming very good spies that can survey any complaints they have towards the Princess.”

“I see...” Alice frowned, “...I guess I didn't know.”

“Alice! Hey!!”

Everyone heard Bowser's voice running as if away from something very alarming. As he panted for a bit he collapsed from exhaustion.

Princess Peach followed after him with Mario.

“He ran to you to tell you what happened. We should wait for him to wake up.” Princess Peach said worryingly.

“We tried to stop him but he was running faster than usual.” Mario assured Alice.

“Well, shit...” Alice said frowning, “If it has to do with the Mist, he might be under some trouble... This guy had a lot of nerve, so he's obviously not a coward. However, even I know the bravest men tremble in fear when they see 'the Mist' in this world.”

“GUYS! This is bad news! Rogue is missing! It's... gone!” Vivian said running to Muyoko while tripping.

“OH GOD!” Muyoko shrieked.

“Do you think Rogue going missing has any correlation to why Bowser is here? Or maybe more about why that 'Torc' character came to town?” Alice asked.

“Whatever the case may be, this is a bad sign. If we don't do something, this realm is going to be screwed over... Royally.” Mario said angrily.

TO BE CONTINUED...
Author's Note: Finally introduced the Fire Emblem Fates characters as well as bring this chapter to a good stopping point. I was worried I was going a little too long with this chapter since I learned there was a word limit on these forums. 23 pages of content all in one post. HOLY SHIT.

Vol. 1: Misty Mountains in the Kingdom of Autumn Mushrooms

Chapter 2: The Mist from the Mountains Northward
Spoiler: show
Muyoko ran downstairs to confirm that Rogue is missing. Along the way, she looked outside. The Mist began engulfing the Toad Village. Her eyes began to widen as what the Mist brought with it.

Toads and humans alike were running away in fear of the monsters that appeared.

A Toadette pulled her child inside and closed the door, with a strange Jester-like creature attempting to follow them inside only for the door to close on them. The Jester like creature was angered, going to the window to break them down.

Oboro, the woman with dark blue hair raising Takumi's son, Kiragi attempted to stab one of the creatures, a bat-like creature with scythe like wings. She thought she succeeded, only for the creature to slice off her arms.

“Mommy!” Kiragi screamed.

“Don't worry about me. Protect your father!” Oboro said before the creature began to slice into her again, this time cutting her in half. The boy collapsed into tears, but only for Mozu and Forrest to pull him away.

“Princess Peach's Palace is the safest place to go right now! Follow me! Hurry!” Sakura, a pink haired girl and Ryoma's youngest sibling said as she ushered scared civilians inside the palace.

“W-where's Caeldori and Daddy?!” Velouria asked worringly to Sakura.

They turned to see Keaton limping heavily as he was carrying Caeldori inside.

“Caeldori tried to rescue Asugi. But it was no use...” Keaton said, “Asugi...”

Sakura gasped as Caeldori dropped Asugi's bandana filled with sweets.

“Oh no...” Sakura collapsed on the ground in horror.

“Lady Sakura! Quickly! Inside!” Hayato said, pulling Sakura inside.

Sakura watched as she saw the lifeless bodies of the people that couldn't make it inside pile up. As the gates closed, Sakura began to cry.

“Lady Sakura... Great job back there...” Hayato said as he helped her up.

“I couldn't save them...” Sakura cried.

“Huh?” Hayato gasped.

“Why? I thought war was over for us.” Sakura said sobbing.

Hayato nodded and assured her, “Sakura... Listen. We didn't save everyone. But look. Everyone listened to you. The Mist isn't coming through right now... Please... Stay strong for everyone at least.”

Sakura sniveled, “But Hayato... Saizou and Belka no longer have a son. Kiragi's motherless... And the Toads. They all lost someone to those monsters outside.”

“Hey...” Hayato said, “We can cry about it later.”

Sakura kissed Hayato and embraced him intensely.

“W-what...” Hayato gasped.

“In case we don't make it inside... I want to let you know I still love you, even in the next life.” Sakura explained.

“Okay, you didn't have to tell me that...” Hayato blushed.

“Thank you for trying to be brave...” Sakura said smiling.

“Everyone!! Did Soleil...?” Camilla, a lilac-haired Nohrian woman asked the two.

Hayato looked away as Sakura collapsed into shock.

“Soleil... Soleil...” Sakura repeated herself as if trying to remember the face that came with that name and if it entered the gates.

Camilla pinned Sakura to the wall.

“Answer me, Sakura! Did Soleil make it?!”

Sakura shed tears in fear, “I... I don't know!!”

Camilla looked down, “I see... I called her name and there was no answer.”

She sat down no longer responding back to Sakura crying. Camilla made no comment but a tear did shed from her eye.

“H-How did this happen?! Where did the Mist come from?” Muyoko asked.

“Muyoko!”

Muyoko turned to see Princess Peach running to hug her.

“Princess?”

Princess Peach sighed, “Thank God you're here. What do we do?!”

Muyoko looked away, “We'll need a Genesis Tree... Wait. Vivian has some seeds. We can use them for the ritual to ward the Mist off. We have ten total. As long as we don't lose them, we are safe to say that we can save this realm from destruction!”

Princess Peach's eyes widened, “You can do that?”

Muyoko nodded.

“We just need to plant them.”

Princess Peach clapped with glee, “That's perfect!”

“Foolish insects... You honestly think a bag of magic beans can rebuild this miserable place?”

Everyone was looking for where the noise came from. When they found the source of the voice, it was a man wearing a strange armored attire over his red robes. Whatever this strange thing is, it made Muyoko vomit since he looked like a member of the Ku Klux Klan had a baby with one of the Elders in Star Wars and Gargoyle from Nadia: the Secret of Blue Water. Everyone was alarmed at the appearance of this stranger.

“Look at you all.” the creature said laughing.

“Oh boy. Here he goes.” Muyoko said rolling his eyes.

“It's Zeto! From the video game!” Princess Peach gasped in horror.

Before Zeto began his speech, he gave her a confused glance. Clearly he wanted to introduce himself, but someone already spoiled his mood, and it was a princess in a pretty pink dress. He decided to continue on with his speech.

”Pitiful creatures, you humans are. Living in fear of the Mist, you scream at the sight of a Seru's shadow. Pathetic humans!”

He obviously looked out of place already in the Princess's Castle but then he began to float.

“In this desolate place, you thought this puny palace would protect you from the Mist?”

Everyone's faces grew more and more pale with fear. This creature was obviously one not to be messed with.

”Humans! You are but insects! The time has come to abandon your foolish resistance!”

He then placed his hand over his chest.

“Like your little princess has observed, I am Zeto. I have come to bring the salvation of the Mist to you miserable creatures.” Zeto grinned.

Rioci and Miyako both tried to attack him. Both of their attacks did nothing to him and instead hurt them instead.

”Humans! Now is the time! Accept the Mist!”

Everyone looked outside in fear as they heard an explosion like no other. It sounded like a laser cannon outside began blowing up the gates in Princess Peach's castle. Though what they saw instead was a horrifying creature. Even Muyoko trembled at her feet at the sight of it. It had horns and teeth and claws and its roar was worse than a dragons.

“Awww~! We just rebuilt that!” A toad groaned.

“But look! The Mist! It's here!” Bowser bellowed.

“It is time! Seru! Followers of the Mist! It is time for you to attack!”

He looked at Muyoko's seeds.

“Destroy those eyesores they call 'seeds'! Make sure they never touch the soil in this castle's garden!”

As he said that, Zeto disappeared, and the Seru were entering inside the Palace.

“M-Muyoko!” Luigi shrieked, “What do we do?!”

Zeto's voice echoed through the castle, ”Save yourselves by accepting the serenity of the Mist without resistance!”

A beaked Seru, the same one the Princess saw in the prologue of Legend of Legaia entered the room but not before it shot fire at the backs of both Rioci and Miyako.

“Rioci!!” the white haired rogue yelped as he jumped in to carry him out of battle, “You idiot! I'm supposed to be the one dripping something hot on your back!”

Rioci laughed to Niles attempt to help him up and calm him down before he was doused with water by one of his wives, the blonde with red armor.

Miyako meanwhile was wincing in pain. Her husbands came in to of course get her up.

“Miyako!” Yukimura cried out.

“Yukimura... Don't worry about it.” Miyako coughed as Zola summoned water to douse her fire.

“Miyako...” Yukimura said carrying her away.

“You escort the Princess and the others to safety. We'll handle this.” Prince Peasley said as he pushed the men and women away from the attack of the Seru.

The Seru, which the text box called Gimard was prepared to attack.

“Nn... This has piercing and slashing abilities from both the Lance and the Axe. Also, Fire doesn't do much to it. So Gimard's going to be hard to defeat.” Starlow explained.

“However, I think Jumping and Arts are a good idea to utilize against it.” Cherry Nitori added.
“Just watch out for its beak.” TNTtimelord warned them.

Muyoko paid attention the Gimard that attacked first, it tried to use it's scissor-like legs to cut off her arms. Luckily she dodged. She then did an attack from the Arts Book she was reading. This knocked the Gimard back for a bit. Next Goombella did a similar attack. This knocked the Gimard further back.

Vivian brainstormed an elemental attack, “Beldam told me this trick. It's not my in my element so...”

“Go for it!” Starlow squeaked.

Vivian used an Ice-based attack which did heavy damage. Luigi was able to bounce on it. Peasley laid the final blow.

“Great job you guys!” Alice said with Cherry Nitori helping her up.

“We helped Muyoko confirm that Rogue is indeed nowhere to be found in the cellars. Looks like Zeto took it with him.” Cherry shook his head.

“We still have the seeds, right Viv?” Muyoko asked.

Vivian took out one of the seeds, “Yeah... Wait a minute. This one is glowing!”

“We better put it in the garden.” Starlow explained.

Everyone raced to the garden battling countless enemies along the way. When they got to the garden, the glow became brighter with each Seru more and more agitated and going to fight against them. Eventually Muyoko and friends found an odd spot to plant the seed... Princess Daisy's grave. The plant was planting itself above Daisy's grave. It was an odd sight to behold.

“What the...” Muyoko gasped.

As it did so, a voice called to Muyoko and her companions.

“Are you the heroes of this realm? The ones known as the royal knights of the Mushroom Kingdom?”

Muyoko gasped.

Five Seru appeared, three of them being very familiar for Muyoko.

“Vivian...” The red Seru spoke to her.

Muyoko remembered these lines.

”Vivian. You are Vivian, are you not?”

Vivian squeaked as it came closer to her.

“H-How do you know my name?!”

”I have read your thoughts. I am speaking to your mind. I am Meta, a Ra Seru. I have been waiting with other Ra-Seru among the seeds you plan to sow. I ask you, Vivian... Do you wish to save your friends from the Mist?

Vivian looked to Muyoko who nodded trusting this Ra-Seru.

“Y-yes! Please! What must I do?” Vivian asked.

“Good. By combining our powers, we will rid the world of the Mist! Let us pursue the same destiny as Ra-Seru and... er, Shadow Siren working together!”

“Ra-Seru... Wait. Those are Seru immune by the will of the Mist! I have no choice here. We can do this!” Vivian nodded.

Meta's eyes widened before it continued, ”Vivian... Open your mind... Feel my presence.”

Vivian gave Meta her hands, as Meta began to turn into a wristband and placing himself around Vivian's wrist.

Similar voices came into the minds of the rest of the party. Goombella obtained Palma, Peasley obtained Mule, Luigi obtained Terra, which lead for Muyoko to have Ozma. Muyoko was surprised by the choices the Serus made. But they each asked each of them the same questions.

“We are all too weak from our introduction to this realm. We... We came from a future where even with the Mist gone the Great Genesis Tree in Seru-Kai had been killed by its benefactors. However, we need the Genesis Tree you have planted to make us strong. To make the Genesis Tree grow faster, we need the power to change destiny, the power of the sentient spirit. Vivian! Hurry! Hurry and assemble everyone in the garden!”

“Y-ye-Yes! Right away!” Vivian nodded, “Muyoko. We need to bring everyone back here.”

Muyoko nodded, “Very well. Ozma gave me a similar message.”

Everyone grouped up and ran to find an area that isn't engulfed by Mist. Along the way, Muyoko and friends absorbed the abilities of Seru. Starlow observed that Gimard's power worked much like a Fire Flower.

“Great job, Muyoko.” Starlow said.

As they went to Princess Peach's bedroom, they saw the last few survivors huddling up. They sighed with relief that it was Muyoko.

“We have to hurry into the garden. We found... Meta and his companions.” Muyoko explained showing Ozma on her right arm.

“Alright!” Princess Peach cheered.

“With all the Ra-Seru on everyone, we should all help them.” Cherry Nitori explained.

“Before I do, I pray to the Gods above that my daughter is still out there and that she's not dead.” Camilla said looking away.

“Yeah! Praying! We all need to follow Camilla's example!” Goombella said pointing at her with her foot. Her torso was where Palma held her.

As everyone followed them into the garden, they found the glowing light that was the Genesis Tree seed. A few Gimards could be seen trying to dig it out, but it was no use. Each time they were chipped instead. Camilla's prayer that Soleil is out there was keeping the Genesis Tree well rooted and still in the ground.

“C'mon everyone! Pray!” Vivian yelled.

Princess Peach's prayer was next.

“Oh God... Please help me protect this kingdom. The Mist... Please help it stay away.” Princess Peach began praying.

More and more people began to pray, be it for peace for their loved ones in the afterlife, protection for their spouses and children, maybe even for seeing the future of the Mushroom Kingdom. Each prayer helped the Genesis Tree grow and grow, pushing the Mist away and making Seru now benign. Everyone can finally see the stars in the sky now.

”Thank you. Thanks to our new Ra-Seru wielders, and the people of the Mushroom Kingdom, the Genesis Tree has grown to its full potential. The Genesis Tree has the power to drive away the Mist, and to make Ra-Seru like us stronger. The Mist has left Princess Peach's Castle and the Toad Village, but it still covers the rest of the realm as well as many realms around it. Many Genesis Trees however want to be born on this realm. Everyone, let us leave together to find new places to grow those Genesis Trees!”

Sakura gasped as those wearing Ra-Seru passed out, “Oh my goodness...”

Ryoma pulled Sakura back, “They're not dead, Sakura.”

Yukimura nodded, “They're definitely exhausted.”

Princess Peach smiled, “How peaceful they all look.”

“They all must be dreaming about something wonderful.” Cherry Nitori explained.

“Thank goodness they're alright.” Mozu murmured.

A few hours later, Camilla was roaring in agony. Muyoko and the others ran outside. They found Camilla over a lifeless body. That body also had Camilla's soft lilac hair. She was hovering over a Toad and his two children though. The Toads survived but they came to comfort Camilla.

“My poor sister. She had a husband who left her and a daughter who chose to stay with her and protect her through the night. Now that she's dead, Camilla doesn't have a loving family to call her own outside of me and our three siblings.” Xander came in to try and stop Muyoko from confronting her about it.

“I see...” Muyoko said looking away, “I'm so sorry.”

Shigure and Dwyer came in to comfort her instead.

“They need a parent more than ever now.” Muyoko said, “They know that feeling that their family was destroyed as well. Do you mind if you let them live with her?”

Xander scratched his head, “Well...”

“It'll be fine, Xander.” Rioci said smiling.

“Are you sure?” Xander gasped as Rioci stepped in.

“I helped Jakob raise these boys, but what they need most is a mother. They should let her take care of them for a while. She really does fit that motherly persona if you think about it hard enough.” Rioci said as he looked away.

“Let's collect the rest of the corpses.” Muyoko said looking at all the carnage that was once the Toad Village.

Morning came. Everyone were sending bodies to the mortician to prep up for the funeral. There was no room to bury them, so instead, they went to the fort that Xander and Ryoma built together to send the departed off at sea, where their coffins would sail away.

As everyone cried, saying farewell to their lost relatives, their deceased friends, and their loved ones that were dead in the raid of the Mist. Each coffin that left was one more reason Muyoko and friends wanted the Mist rid of in this realm.

“Kiragi... I wish I could have saved her too...” Takumi said as Kiragi hugged him, “I want you to have something though, that I think would help you protect everyone else.”

Takumi went into his room, and in his teeth was the Fujin Yumi, a yumi without a string to pull on. Kiragi cried, “Daddy...”

Forrest turned when Leo gave him the Brynhildr with his teeth as well.

“Father, you'll damage the poor thing!” Forrest shrieked as Leo dropped the book into his arms.

“Please. Protect the both of us with this. I may no longer have arms to use the spell, but you do.” Leo said as he gazed upon his scared son's expression.

“...I will. I won't disappoint you.” Forrest said.

Xander and Ryoma grinned. They looked at their weapons and then at their sons who are comforting their peers.

“Shall we follow our younger brothers?” Xander asked Ryoma.

“We may as well. Shiro and Siegbert both are old enough now that they're men.” Ryoma said.

They then felt a tug at their capes and robes.

They looked down.

“Uncle Ryoma, where are all those people going?”

It was Ame, Miyako's youngest son and the only child that belonged to Yukimura addressing Ryoma. Portia, the daughter of Rioci and Charlotte was about to ask a similar question to Xander.

“They're going somewhere far away, where we'll meet them again in the near future. The place they are going to is another realm. This realm is called 'Heaven'. There are many realms like it, however, this Heaven welcomes those that didn't deserve to die.” Xander replied, carrying Portia up over his shoulders so she can see the view.

“Are we going to make sure nobody else goes there though? Why are we going to meet them there?” Ame asked.

“Because in this realm, we never know if Death will take us next or not.” Ryoma replied, helping Ame see in the same perspective as his cousin.

“Uncle Xander, I'm scared. We just got here. I don't want to move to another realm again.” Portia said hugging Xander's head.

“Don't worry Portia. You're still a strong warrior. If anything, we should thank Muyoko and the rest of Princess Peach's allies for saving us.” Xander said as he let Portia cover his eyes.

“Okay...” Portia said.

The sun began to rise, and soon everyone returned to the Toad Village.

“We'll need to assemble a group to help you on your journey to save this realm, and any realms that are still in danger.” TNTtimelord explained.

“I don't think that will be necessary.” Luigi blushed.

“I dunno. We might need to find someone to take the two other Ra-Serus that are known in this world.” Alice said.

“Alice? You played the game too?” Muyoko asked, eyes widening.

“Not really. I looked up walkthroughs on YouTube. I did it because I doubt that you, Luigi, and everyone else is prepared to fight the monster known as Caruban. It looks very tough.” Alice said.

“Are you saying that because you have a soft spot for cats?” Muyoko asked raising a brow.

“N-no! Of course not! What makes you say that?!” Alice stammered in embarrassment that she asked such a question.

“Well, whatever the case may be, try to hide it better.” Cherry Nitori said with a smile.

“In the meantime, we'll need to study the Seru more. We picked up the 'dead body' of a Seru monster. We'll see what makes it tick.” TNTtimelord said.

“It's been said armor made from a Seru is very thick and strong. But let's not think too hard on it. Seru regardless if they are alive or dead may affect you.” Alice said coldly.

“So where should we plant the next seed?” Vivian asked.

Before anyone can answer, “PAPA!!”

Bowser turned to see his children running up to him and giving him a warm hug.

“Hey! You're alive!” Bowser began sobbing.

“Pops, you're going to hate this, all of our friends and cohorts inside the castle have gone mad!” Bowser Jr. squeaked.

“Yeah, some of the monsters jumped on one of them but never let go, and soon they started to attack us instead! Something was wrong with their eyes... as well as their flesh.” Wendy sobbed.

“We gotta get them to snap out of it!” Ludwig cried.

“There were also really mean people in there, meaner than our Kamek!” Roy said trying not to snivel.

“They called themselves, Elliot, Marienne, and the Delilas Siblings.” Morton gave in to the sniveling to explain.

“WHAT?!” Muyoko snapped.

“He said, Elliot, Marienne, and the--” Wendy was going to scold Muyoko for being deaf but Muyoko intervened.

“THOSE SONS OF BITCHES WEREN'T EVEN IN THE ORIGINAL GAME. IT. IS. ON!!” Muyoko snapped angrily.

“Elliot and Marienne weren't in Legend of Legaia?” Luigi asked.

“Unfortunately, no. They were villains in the less received and very horrible sequel, Legaia 2: Duel Saga. The game really upset Muyoko because she was hoping Legaia 2 would be just as good of an experience.” Cherry Nitori chimed in.

“Whatever they're doing, we're going to give them Hell.” Muyoko cracked her knuckles as she said this.

“Who are the Delilases exactly?” Princess Peach asked.

“They were in the original game, but their purpose was to hinder us as well.” Cherry explained, “One of our friends in our original realm had trouble fighting Che Delilas, the one with brute strength.”

“They don't seem to anger Muyoko though. Maybe Elliot and Marienne are something that she had a vendetta against on a personal level?” Vivian asked.

“More like she had hope for Elliot and Marienne to redeem themselves. They never did. This is kind of why Muyoko hates them.” Cherry said sighing.

“Hey. Listen, Muyoko. If you want to fight these two, let me join you.” Bowser said jumping in.

Muyoko turned.

“Ready to show them the light, my good companion?” Muyoko asked.

“Well, since they're raiding my castle, I may as well. Besides, while you guys were having your little funeral, this little guy showed up on my wrist.” Bowser said pointing at a strange creature.

Muyoko's eyes widened, “Jedo!”

She took an eye on it and then looked at him.

“It was talking to me about how my home was in trouble, so I had to join you guys in your quest to summon the Genesis Trees.” Bowser scratched his head.

Ozma lit up as did 'Jedo'. They are communicating, though Bowser and Muyoko could not hear them. Eventually, Ozma began speaking to Muyoko, “Jedo was about to be captured by Cort in this realm. Apparently his original owner is also alive. Muyoko. Whatever you do, watch out for a man with red and black robes and fiery red hair. He may be possessing a copy of him instead.”

“Songi...” Muyoko looked away.

“Jedo told me that name. He sounds like a guy I want to squish for his edgelordiness. There's only one tough guy in this realm, and that guy's me!” Bowser said as he was snarling.

“Dude, you get defeated by Mario every other week. That and you can't even defeat Ali--” TNTtimelord frowned.

“I MEAN IN THE AESTHETIC DEPARTMENT!” Bowser punched a wall to silence TNTtimelord.

“So with Ozma and Jedo having closure, it looks like we can now take down that castle.” Muyoko said pointing toward the direction of the Mist, “Hopefully we can get Rogue back as well, so we can kill it.”

“Rogue is here?!” Ozma piped up.

“Well, yeah. He's the reason you are all here.” Muyoko explained, “We learned that Rogue is evil however. I figured out what we need to do now since we have Ra-Seru now.”

“That's right... With Rogue... Traitorous Rogue... He'll need all of our help to destroy him and rid of Bowser's Castle's Mist problem.” Ozma said, “That is if you are positive Rogue would be there.”

“I'll need to play the game up until the same exact point that my friend was at with the Delilas family. It'll be a tough challenge, but I know I have help.” Muyoko said as she nodded at Ozma.

“Wait... This game you are playing. What is it about exactly?” Ozma asked.

Muyoko explained everything to Ozma who only can respond back with, “...I see. History is repeating itself in this realm, but unlike before, you all are reading into it and trying to stop it before it happens.”

Muyoko blinked, “Well, duh. We can't have everything return to the Stone Age.”

“The Stone Age?!” Bowser gasped.

“That was the best case scenario I can think up with. Unlike before, Seru existed way after we developed as a whole kingdom. We thrived before the Seru. We don't need them to live.” Muyoko replied.

“It is more than that, Bowser.” Jedo finally stepped in, “Your realm is developing its own Seru-Kai, which is a strange sign. That means that destroying the Seru-Kai for this realm would mean destroying all Seru in the realm itself, including us.”

“There is a horrible twist to the planting of the Genesis Trees, Muyoko. And that is the fact that each Genesis Tree you grow will make the Seru-Kai much stronger and more vast, making all of the Seru you encounter stronger too. Luckily for you all, it makes us, the Ra-Seru stronger as well. That will mean your friends need to stay within the reach of the Genesis Tree's power, as no Genesis Tree already killed some of our allies thanks to the Mist.” Ozma explained.

“Well that just salts my melon.” Bowser snapped his fingers angrily.

“Returning your realm back to its original state is what we really need to do.” Meta chimed in. Vivian shrieked as she heard his voice.

“The first step is to get rid of the Mist.” Terra stepped in, giving Luigi a scare.

“Roger that.” Bowser nodded.

“Aye.” Muyoko nodded.

“In the meantime, you all need to train. I suggest following Muyoko's example and watch her explore our original realm... The realm of Legaia.” Ozma announced.

“Okay.” Luigi smiled, “That sounds easy right?”

Meanwhile, in Bowser's Castle, the man fitting Ozma's description, the one they call Songi was storming the Halls.

“Where are those miserable little brats?!” he said angrily, “I need something to hone my skills.”

“They escaped to Princess Peach's Genesis Tree. The Mist can't touch them there.” A strange creature which was a floating pair of arms with a jaw, what they call a Viguro explained.

“That's where those newly founded Ra-Seru heroes are. A cowardly plumber, a dim-witted girl, a vain prince of a kingdom of beans of all things, a reptile that doesn't know when to quit, a timid magic using freak of nature, and the world's most unholy abomination. That reptile had my Seru, but I have a better version of it, thanks to Zeto.” Songi said.

“We should visit other realms, there is no way THEY could defeat the Delilases, nor their supposed 'trump card' in the siblings they picked up from a lesser realm.” Viguro announced.

“You need one more opponent however to throw them off. Muyoko knows their trump card already and is planning a means of defeating them.”

Songi turned around and saw Yuuka. She giggled.

“Ah, Yuuka. It took you long enough to get there. So did you meet with your little enemy of yours?” Songi asked.

“How cute. Of course I did. Alice isn't really an enemy. More like my competitor of sorts. If one of us gets to our goal, we can return to Gensokyo. However, our Gensokyo may be a changed one if I win the fight.” Yuuka giggled.

Songi snarled, “How do you know for sure?”

“Isn't that what our boss told us? Mist never was as thick as it was here in Gensokyo. Maybe I'll have a winning hand against Reimu and Marisa for once.” Yuuka giggled again.

“Heh. I like your fighting spirit. I'm sure your 'Danmaku' must have enhanced as well with the new Seru he gave you as well.”

Yuuka looked at her wrist, which was the same Seru as Songi's.

“Mine is a weaker copy, clearly. Well, if I lose, I'll know if my 'Danmaku' is powerful in this realm or not. You can get your role back as the more calculating of the rivals once that happens though.” Yuuka giggled as she disappeared.

Songi smirked, “I hope you don't Yuuka. Having a weak rival is actually rather boring.”

“So we'll need another creature or person to throw Muyoko off. Hmm... But who would work as an opponent?” Songi pondered, “I can't use any of her little friends. That would be delicious to see, but that would also be boring seeing her hold back. Has to be another one of those 'Legaia 2' people she hates 'Oh so much.' Oh! I think I can figure it out.”

Tabitha and Matt were doing research back at Princess Peach's Castle. Toadsworth looked over their shoulder to make sure they're not doing any suspicious activity. Shelly and Phoebe were also with them.

“What are you looking up, Tabi?” Phoebe asked.

“Isn't it obvious? We're getting an emulator to play Legaia 2. That way we can warn Muyoko of what to watch out for. The people she's fighting against aren't the same people. In fact, they could be looking for a new trump card to throw everyone off.” Tabitha explained.

“But Muyoko HATES Legaia 2. She hates it so much, she listed it as one of the worst video games she's ever played, and the worst sequel for that matter.” Toadsworth gasped.

“I know. Not even Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly fueled her rage that much. We got the memo from the Princess.” Shelly rolled her eyes as she groaned.

“I'm glad she never listed a Mario game as a bad game.” Toadsworth laughed.

“She's no 'Captain N' but she does like you guys enough to even be your friends. Hell, she even likes us.” Matt said with a big grin, “That must mean something if she likes us, right?”

“Oh God! I can't defeat this first boss! Aghhh...” Tabitha groaned as he died at his first attempt.

“This looks like I can see why Muyoko hates this game.” Shelly covered her mouth, trying not to crack into laughter.

“I'm sure there's more than just that. She knows who Elliot and Marienne are! I have not seen these guys anywhere!” Tabitha frowned.

“Well, if they have to fight against the Delilas family, we have plenty of time. Apparently you can fight them 2/3 of the way through the game. Or was it... Hmm...” Matt began to brainstorm for a bit on the calculations.

As everyone was trying to figure out how to go through the game smoothly in Legaia 2, Tabitha and Matt made a shocking discovery, and it looks like they'll have to run to Muyoko fast before she is able to defeat the Delilas in the video game.

Side Story 1: The Chupacabra
Spoiler: show
Miyako woke up in the morning to a horrible scream. It was coming out of Zola who found a banana under his pillow. He laughed nervously before she and her other bedmates gave Zola a scolding glare. Though what confused Miyako more was that how did the banana get there, and how is it that they weren't able to detect it before they went to bed? Surely Miyako was more aware of her surroundings than that.

She decided to talk to Rioci about it.

“Hey, Rioci. I have a question to ask you...” Miyako began to speak to him.

“Did you get a banana in your bed as well?” Rioci asked.

“Huh?” Miyako gasped, “How did you know?”

“Niles found one before we went to bed. He suggested we use it for our activities before we went to sleep, but I was a little more confused. Bananas aren't native to the Mushroom Kingdom. In fact, I am pretty sure none of us know where they grow currently. Isn't it odd that we had bananas here?”

Miyako blinked, “Come to think of it, do we know of anyone that would do such a thing?”

“The Chupacabra!!”

Miyako and Rioci turned as they saw Miyako's children, Ame and Hotaru being chased by her teenaged daughter to Zola, Puera.

“I'm going to get you! And ruin all of the couches in your home!” Puera grabbed Hotaru as he began laughing as Puera gave him a zerbert to the belly-button.

“Puera. What is a Chupacabra?” Miyako asked, “I am pretty sure I don't know that story.”

Puera looked at Miyako, “Oh M-Mama...”

She put Hotaru down as he ran off with Ame waiting for Puera to chase them again.

“It was a strange childhood story Muyoko told us. Before she played Legend of Legaia, Muyoko was a child, smaller than Ame. She didn't know how to eat a banana, so she was trying to use her grandparent's sofa to peel the skin off for her. It came with some... unfortunate results. Her grandparents sofa smelled so much of bananas now that bananas are a connection to furniture for some reason. Every now and then, when she got older, she would hide a banana under her grandmother's pillow, as a means of pranking her. They dubbed her... 'The Chupacabra'.” Puera explained.

“I believe we need to confront her about this.” Rioci said to Miyako.

“Right. I don't want her to prank us just because we're allies.” Miyako frowned.

“Allow me.” Yukimura said to Miyako.

“Umm... Yukimura, I love you, but sometimes people don't like it when you scold them.” Miyako laughed nervously.

“I'm not going to scold her, but I have a plan. We're going to record Muyoko doing this little 'prank' on us and confirm it is true. I doubt she knows us well enough that she would be intimate with our pillows of all things.” Yukimura said.

“So you're saying she wouldn't do it to us? Our own daughter just explained she would do this prank on her grandparents... Those are parents of our parents Yukimura.” Miyako frowned.

“Well, once we catch her in the act, we can be sure of it. I have my doubts on her because Muyoko barely even met us.” Yukimura said.

“Very well. We'll follow your plan. If she does do it though, don't say I didn't warn you.” Miyako pouted.

“Your plan to find our 'Chupacabra' is an excellent one.” Rioci smiled.

“Thank you, Rioci.” Yukimura smiled.

“Not a problem. Just glad we all had our concerns.” Rioci smiled.

During the afternoon, Yukimura was planting his camera.

“Ah. I've seemed to misplaced my notebook!” Yukimura said aloud, “I wonder where I've put it!”

Yukimura looked around. No sign of sentient life. A couple crickets chirped awkwardly. Yukimura grinned. He then placed the camera within the nice bamboo plant Izana bought to hide his 'special love lotion'.

“Oh no! Miyako would sure be sad I lost my notebook! It has my notes for today's meeting with Lord Ryoma!” Yukimura was clearly lying; his notebook was under his robes, rubbing against his chest the whole time. He just wanted the suspect to think he only came in the room with a better purpose than to plant a camera.

Night fell and everyone was getting ready for bed.

Miyako was excited to confirm if Muyoko was the culprit to their banana hiding in their pillow this time or not. Zola found the banana in the bed just to confirm someone was putting bananas in the bed.

“Oohh! This is going to be good!” Izana grinned.

“I can't wait to have dirt on her! To think she would do something to us like putting a banana in our bed thinking we would let her get away with that!” Miyako rubbed her hands together getting all giddy with excitement.

Yukimura put the recording in their DVD player. What they found instead was... an ape? Wearing a red tie which read 'DK'? He was accompanied by a tiny girl with cyan hair wearing a blue uniform of sorts and with icicles for fairy wings.

“Hey! What are you doing! Aren't we supposed to be warning them about the strongest fairy in Gensokyo! Those aren't my letters!” the fairy squeaked. Clearly 'DK' pushed her aside.

He then began sniffing the sheets as if to confirm something. He began roaring with joy, as if his confirmation was correct. Miyako's eyes widened.

“What does 'DK' stand for?” Zola asked confused, “Demonic Kindred? Dastardly Keeper? Destructive King?”

“It's Donkey Kong.”

Everyone turned to see Muyoko with Mario and Luigi, pointing at the caught ape and the angry fairy.

“HEY! Let me out! Nobody has the right to put Cirno in a cave with this guy!” the fairy in the video squeaked.

“Donkey Kong?” Zola tilted his head puzzled, “But he's not a 'donkey'. That's clearly an ape!”

“Donkey Kong is an ape on one of the many tropical islands neighboring the Mushroom Kingdom. He was trying to tell us something. He said it was in your banana.” Mario explained.

Miyako opened the banana. It read the following.

Mee-mee of Hokkaido and her three husbands Coca-Cola, Nirvana, and Shirayuki-hime are here,

My home was struck with strange Mist. Monsters try to destroy apes and monkeys on Donkey Kong Island, named after my grandfather and myself, but we are strong and survive Monsters attack. We found beautiful home of you and husbands. We want to live with you and husbands as well as your brother Gnocci of L.A. Noire and his wives and family in Toad Village for while.

Loud fairy named Cirno. Cirno want to challenge the blonde lightbringer from her land, Alice Margatroid in fight. Cirno thinks she can win but Cirno still dumb. Cirno should live here first and meet everyone. Cirno very dumb. We hate Cirno.

Donkey Kong love Mee-mee though. Mee-mee have happy family despite hardships in Mee-mee's life. Donkey Kong want hope for you and family and Donkey Kong's message to you is simple: Donkey Kong want home here. Don't eat banana until reading message is done.

Donkey Kong is here.

“I'm afraid we have competition for Miyako's affections.” Izana teased.

“He doesn't love me like that!” Miyako groaned.

“Rioci told me you suspected me of the banana attempt. Well, I'm afraid I have to tell you all... Miyako was right. She was right the whole time.” Muyoko spilled the beans.

“HA!” Miyako pointed at Yukimura.

Yukimura frowned, “Well, I'm glad you admitted to the little prank, 'Chupacabra'. Having a banana to our bed could actually attract a lot of bad things into our living space. A simple prank could have drawn the Seru into our homes. You've only done it once, so I'll only tell you once. The next time you do this, I will be very disappointed in you.”

Muyoko looked away, “Wow... I'm sorry. I thought you'd be flattered.”

“At least the banana wasn't opened when she put it in the bed.” Luigi said before closing his mouth.

Mario gave Luigi a looked, “Wow. Looks like our 'Chupacabra' has a little helper.”

Cirno frowned, “What about me!! MEE! I could have take you all down if it wasn't for this emitting intense heat.”

Donkey Kong signed something to Mario.

“OH. He says 'So Mee-mee equals 'Miyako'. I know for next time.'” Mario said, “Huh. I thought he was addressing you guys the wrong way intentionally.”

The next morning, Donkey Kong and his ape friends and family built a house within the trees for them to be around. They decided to use the trees closest to Miyako and her family for a specific reason.

Donkey Kong signed to Miyako.

“Umm... I don't understand.” Miyako said.

Donkey Kong went to Mario to translate for him.

“He said, 'Thank you for letting us live with you and 'Gnocci'.” Mario translated.

“He pronounces it Ree-oh-chee these days. My brother Ryoma calls him Ree-oh-kee though. I always have to correct him though,” Miyako laughed nervously to Donkey Kong, “But I'll tell him of your gratitude.”

Donkey Kong signed again.

“Introduce me to your husbands again. I think I spoke their name wrong again as well.”

“Oh. Alright. Sure thing. That's also great thinking. I think Zola would like it if someone didn't refer to him by a popular beverage.” Miyako giggled.

And so, Donkey Kong got to know his new neighbors and things were finally at peace. Also, bananas were no longer found in the pillows of Miyako and Rioci's bedroom. They were instead found in Luigi's bed instead, much to Prince Peasley's dismay that is.

TO BE CONTINUED...
Author's notes: I wanted this chapter to be longer, however I also wanted to write the side story most of all. The side story is set in between Chapter 2 and the upcoming Chapter, so you can say the side story is kind of a derailment to the main plot at hand which is getting rid of Rogue and the Mist in order for the Mist to stop eating away at the realm. It also was a good leeway of introducing Donkey Kong into the story. It also left room to develop Miyako and her family. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this piece. I also would hope to add more in the near future. Peace.

Chapter 3: The Seru Brides
Spoiler: show
“I brought a new face. This is Boss Editor. He edits levels for SMBX, meaning he makes levels for Mario and Luigi to train with.” TNTtimelord declared.

“How do you do?” Boss Editor said as he knelt down and bowed, kissing the princess's hand in a gentlemanly fashion.

“Oh! Boss Editor, thank you for coming here. We really need your help!” Princess Peach explained.

“I've heard. I still very much mourn for the loss of Princess Daisy of Sarasaland. She was a beautiful woman and a powerful leader. She was gone too soon.” Boss Editor explained as he looked over.

“The Dimble Woods are surprisingly Mist-free right now.” TNTtimelord added, “We can probably plant a Genesis Tree there to help push the Mist back.”

“But Bowser's Castle is a Mist Generator right now. Wouldn't we be too close to it?” Princess Peach asked.

“The What now?” Boss Editor asked puzzled.

“Oh! You didn't know?” TNTtimelord observed, “The Mushroom Kingdom is under attack by a peculiar enemy, like one we've seen only once before. You've watched Muyoko's stream, right?”

“Yeah...” Boss Editor said, “I saw Noa almost die back there. She's not a very clever tactician. Then again, I don't play a lot of role-playing games.”

“Oh, yeah! How is she doing on her quest to get to the Delilases?” TNTtimelord asked Princess Peach.

“She got stuck on Berserker.” Princess Peach replied, “I hope that this isn't anything bad about it.”

“Sounds like she stumbled upon a difficult boss. Keep an eye out for her okay?” TNTtimelord said concerned.

“'Hoy there!”

Princess Peach and Boss Editor jumped.

“What?!” Boss Editor gasped.

Right before them, was a man with charcoal black hair in a peculiar warrior's outfit. Following them were two women, one of which was wearing blue leather armor and had blue hair held up by a golden crown. She was holding a golden bladed weapon. Alongside her was her sister, a woman in plate armor holding a lance and wearing blue twin tails.

“Odin?” Elise's voice piped up.

“Papa!” Ophelia shouted out with glee.

“You know them?” Princess Peach asked Elise.

“My beautiful Elise! I was not expecting for us to meet again in person!” the man said, opening his arms wide for Elise to pounce on him and hug him.

“Owain? What does this mean?” the blue haired girl in the twin tails asked puzzled.

“Lucina, Cynthia... This is the fated bride of the Great Odin Dark, and our daughter Ophelia Dusk!” the man announced introducing Elise and Ophelia to the two girls.

“Oh. I thought they were in a more... familiar realm.” Lucina, the one in leather armor laughed nervously.

“I did too...” The man named Owain (or Odin according to Elise and Ophelia) said, pondering to himself over the situation.

“You should meet up with Benny and I. We can talk about it if you'd like.” Elise said.

“Good idea!” Owain said smiling, “That way we are safe from those monsters from the Mist!”

“Hey, Owain. Didn't you notice that the village here has no Mist?” Lucina asked.

“Yeah. Come to think of it, we didn't stumble upon any monsters here in this village at all either. Everyone is sentient... and happy here.” Cynthia, the one in the twin tails said. She looked around with Lucina.

“It must be thanks to the great Genesis Tree that you made it here safely.” Elise said with a happy smile.

“We lost Inigo in the Mist. Brady and Laurent will be arriving with us shortly.” Lucina explained.

“Is he Lazlow? Camilla would be sad.” Elise murmured aloud.

“Yeah. He was helping Noire out in rescuing the children. However, he wasn't the only one. We lost Gerome in this storm as well.” Lucina replied to Elise.

“Ohh...” Cynthia sobbed, “I hate you had to tell her that.”

Inside TNTtimelord and Boss Editor sat down with Princess Peach as Elise explained her story. She talked of the war between Nohr and Hoshido and how the twins Rioci and Miyako stopped the majority of the fighting by killing a monster posing as her father. She also discussed how a mysterious stranger with blue hair and red eyes from an alternate realm came in and helped them bring Valla back to their former glory but not before Justine and Gilbert, the monsters that Odin talked with Ophelia about destroyed their realm leaving the people at Shigure and Dwyer's coronation the only survivors of the realm, including Elise and her family.

“I see. This is why you're not at Castle Krankleburg and instead in Princess Peach's castle.” Owain frowned, “This is very bad. Justine and Gilbert have conquered our realm together, but destroying a realm is a whole other story.”

“Who is Justine and Gilbert again?” Boss Editor asked worried.

“They're descendants of the Plegian dark dragon, Grima. Together they summoned him in our realm. They've raided and pillaged the lands where Chon'sin and Rosanne once stood, and they took Ylisse next. They're horrible creatures that take the form of normal humans like us.” Cynthia said angrily.

“So they're the bad guys.” Boss Editor nodded, still concerned.

“Listen. If what you said is true about your realm, Elise, then the Mushroom Kingdom and all of its neighbors could be destroyed next.” Lucina hissed.

“Lucina, we're here!”

Lucina turned. A priest with a scar over head and orange hair that made one think of warm pumpkin pie. With him was a dark haired mage wearing a pointed, wide brim hat, and glasses as well as a blonde girl wearing green gear fit for an archer and a feather in her hair.

“There you are.” Lucina smiled, relieved.

“Did you find Yarne and Nah? What about Gerome? And Kjelle?” Cynthia asked the mage in the glasses.

“No such luck. The realms Mist has separated up tremendously. It seems that trying to scrutinize the source of the Mist remained fruitless for us.” the mage in the glasses explained.

“This isn't good.” Lucina murmured.

“Say, Owain. Didn't you say Severa decided to stay with her family in Elise's realm?” the pumpkin haired man asked Owain.

“Oh yes! How has Severa been, Elise? Has she been protecting her daughters?” Owain asked Elise.

Elise and Ophelia were quiet. Princess Peach sat there saddened, as TNTtimelord coughed awkwardly.

“Severa...” Elise began to speak up, “...She didn't make it. The Mist got a hold of her and a couple others when they were foraging for food in this kingdom. Lazlow's daughter, Soleil was trying to protect the villagers of the Mushroom Kingdom's nearby town. Ophelia is the only person biologically related to the Freedom Fighters from Ylisstol.”

Ophelia began to cry. The blonde girl accompanying the priest and mage began crying with her.

“Oh Gods...” Lucina gasped.

“Inigo may have been a womanizer at heart, but he was also one of the bravest warriors we have. The fact he lost a person that could have continued his legacy means the Mist is one to take no prisoners.” The mage sighed.

“The horrors however is that Justine and Gilbert still left the door to the realm we escaped from open. But why? What is in there that they want us to come back to? They've killed everyone we knew and loved. I've never got to hear from my father again!” Lucina cried.

“Princess! Thank goodness you are safe!”

It was Toadsworth, who came in frantic and alarmed.

“Toadsworth?” TNTtimelord gasped.

“What's wrong? Of course I am alright. TNTtimelord has been with me this whole time. We were talking with Boss Editor about the threat of...”

“A tall green haired woman and a blonde man came from the heavens riding Seru! They were attempting to capture some of our refugees from Nohr and Hoshido! They said they were coming after you next, your highness!” Toadsworth cried.

“Oh no!” Princess Peach gasped in shock.

“Who were they, exactly?” Lucina glowered.

“Their names... were Justine and Gilbert, the children of Grima. They captured Rioci and Miyako's family more specifically, but they even grabbed a hold of Dwyer and Shigure, the former kings of Valla!” Toadsworth sobbed.

“Rioci and Miyako? Who are they, exactly?” Lucina asked puzzled.

“Rioci and Miyako are the twin dragons of Dusk and Dawn! Rioci accompanied me in my quest to ensure the safety of Nohr while Miyako is the proud Hoshidan general that defeated us in the Nohr-Hoshido War. They may sound like sworn enemies, Lucina, but they both collaborated on the assassination of the monster possessing King Garon.” Owain explained to Lucina.

“This isn't good!” Elise stood up, “We have to go rescue them!”

“But how? If they went into the Mist, Elise, if we go out there without Muyoko and the others, we'll die out there!” TNTtimelord yelled.

“That isn't true. In fact, we were escorted here by a talking... block.” Lucina murmured embarrassed.

“Ah yes! The talking block that spoke just like Duke Virion!” Cynthia giggled, “I liked that guy!”

“Duke Virion was the husband of Justine prior to her corruption getting the better of her. The last think he did was help us escape. We never got to see him again, however, meeting Monsieur Broque first in the Mists of the Mushroom Kingdom made us remember him fondly.” the mage explained to them.

“So that was his name? Laurent, you sure got a good memory.” the pumpkin-haired priest said scratching his head.

“Monsieur Broque? Oh my! He must be alone!” Princess Peach gasped.

“You all! We need to get to the Dimble Woods first. We can plant the Genesis Tree up at the deepest part of the wood!” TNTtimelord explained.

“How did Broque survive the Mist though? Don't Seru attack anything sentient?” Toadsworth asked.

“He said the Ra Seru Egg he was holding in his hands is what is keeping the other Seru away. I don't know what that means, but something tells me that Seru is a good one, not like the other Seru in the Mist.” Cynthia explained.

“Lucina. I have an idea. We'll use Monsieur Broque to find Miyako's family in Ylisse.” Tntimelord explained.

“What about Muyoko and the others?” Princess Peach asked.

“They'll be tasked to take the Genesis Seed into the Dimble Woods. If they do it in time, we can push the Mist back without hurting any of us in the Mist!” TNTtimelord explained.

“Good God, isn't that risky though? We have only one guy to follow around in the other realm. Plus, I don't play RPGs.” Boss Editor crossed his arms groaning.

“Don't go into Ylisse.” Lucina shrieked, “Not if you're searching. Rioci and Miyako's family may as well be dead if they are there.”

“No! I don't want to believe it!” Princess Peach cried.

“Rioci's my brother. Not only that, but I grew up with Peri and Niles being my older brothers' retainers for the longest time. With them gone, all of them will be heartbroken! I don't want to see them cry. So we'll have to go look for them together!” Elise pouted.

“Elise, it's too dangerous to go into Ylisse alone. I'll at least come with you.” Owain declared.

“Me too!” Ophelia pouted.

Muyoko and the others were brought into the Dimble Woods after Muyoko snuck a banana under Zola's pillow and she 'borrowed' the love lotion Izana was hiding in the bamboo plant in their room. Vivian and Peasley looked around with her, Luigi hid behind Muyoko, understandably afraid and Goombella was moving ahead further into the Dimble Woods. Bowser stayed with Muyoko on guard.

“Are you sure we need to plant them here?” Luigi asked.

“Yeah, the Princess said that Dimble Woods have a peculiar area that we can plant the Genesis Seed.” Muyoko said.

“Muyoko! I hear a cry for help in the forest.” Ozma shrieked.

“Are you guys not the only ones?” Muyoko turned to everyone.

“I hear it too.” Vivian explained, “Meta also feels sentient warmth.”

“This is odd.” Muyoko said.

They moved deeper into the forest where Muyoko and friends discovered a rabbit-eared man with a brunette girl with pointed ears being held by a female armored warrior. Alongside them were Puera and her two brothers, Hotaru and Ame followed by Rioci's daughters, Nina, Cosette, Noa, Petra, and little Portia. They were clinging onto a branch as the woods shook, more specifically the tree.

“Stay back.” Muyoko told Vivian and Luigi.

“Muyoko! Look!” Ozma gasped.

Bowser's eyes widened. They saw what was scaring these children to stay up there, and it was ugly... A red armored man riding a winged lion-like creature with red and blue fur was prowling.

“Fear not! The proud and brave Raynof has come to aid you in coming out of the tree, children!” the man grinned devilishly, his mustache and beard not helping his case.

“All hail Brave Raynof! All hail Raynof the Brave!” booming voices echoed.

Muyoko snarled, “Raynof... So we meet at last in person...”

“The Ra-Seru Warriors of the Mushroom Kingdom are rogues and thieves! Do not trust these cowards.” Raynof told the children.

“Muyoko!” Puera cried out.

“Muyoko, leave us to die. It's Papa Niles and our mothers you need to worry about!” Nina yelled towards Muyoko.

“Papa Niles saved our lives by pushing us here. We're pushing you back so you don't get hurt!” Cosette shrieked, pulling her sisters back.

“Listen, you forgot who we are.” Muyoko said lifting Ozma up.

“No! You listen. We lost Gerome to this monster. We saw 'Brave Raynof''s mount crunch him and Minerva up! Please! Don't suffer the same fate as him!” the rabbit man squeaked.

“Bitch, bring it on.” Muyoko taunted the mount.

“Caruban! Show these Ra-Seru Warriors who is the strongest.” Raynof grinned.

And so another battle arose.

“Bowser! You try to get the children down slowly!” Jedo explained, “They are scared and confused. They shouldn't be in the Mist!”

“You mean I have to do all the rescuing, and Muyoko and the others get to do the monster pounding?” Bowser frowned, “That's not right at all!”

“Bowser, only you have the strength to climb up the tree and get the children down safely. Imagine if these children were your own, scared and confused!” Jedo warned Bowser.

“Alright. It can't be helped if you're too afraid to touch it.” Bowser sighed, giving in to Jedo's insistence.

“Be careful, Muyoko. This could be a long fight.” Ozma explained.

“Everyone! You each have a special art that can be activated with your Ra-Seru!” Starlow piped up, “These are special exceptions to the 'Only Muyoko and Goombella can have Arts rule!'”

“Oh yeah!” Goombella grinned, “In that case, we'll be ready!”

Muyoko watched Vivian activate her first attack, 'Tornado Flame'. Then Luigi with 'Frost Breath'.

“Muyoko! Caruban is weak to Fire.” Ozma explained.

“Alright.” Muyoko nodded.

“However, that doesn't mean we're the ones having trouble.” Ozma said.

Peasley attacked with his special art with Mule and saw the lack of damage that Caruban took from it.

“Hahaha! Weak Ra-Seru Warriors. Don't you see that Caruban doesn't mind the water?” Raynof laughed.

“Wait. Water conducts electricity.” Muyoko observed.

She ran up to pull her attack on Caruban, “Thunder Punch”, which did extra damage to Caruban, and to Raynof.

“Great job, Muyoko! You observed basic chemistry!” Ozma grinned.

“My turn!” Goombella noted as she ran up to punch Caruban.

Caruban went down, outnumbered five to two. Raynof was left standing.

“No, Caruban!” Raynof yelled, “We're supposed to defeat them! Pathetic Caruban!”

“Get the Hell out, coward.” Muyoko snapped.

“Guh! You all have been able to take down a Seru monster!” Raynof growled back, “But I'm Raynof the Brave. I won't give up. I'll take down you all with another Seru soon. One that is stronger than before!”

As Raynof left, Bowser was holding the last person, the rabbit-eared man who was struggling out of Bowser's arms.

“Don't eat me!” He squeaked, “Not like Gerome!”

“Calm down! I don't eat humanoids!” Bowser snarled angrily at the rabbit-eared man. He had brown hair with a wild orange streak involved.

“The Seru monster ate Gerome. Let's see if we can get them out.” Muyoko said as she took out a knife.

“No!... It's too late. We've been up here for hours with the children after Gerome was eaten alive.” the pointy-eared brunette explained.

“Nah...” the rabbit-eared man said, hugging the girl as he began sobbing.

“You're monstrous but you saved our lives from dehydration and starvation. What are you?” the armored woman, who had dark green hair asked.

“I'm Bowser Koopa, the king of the Koopas. Right now I'm at a truce with the Mushroom Kingdom to get rid of the Mist. The little guy on my hand is Jedo. He's the one who told me to get you guys down.” Bowser explained pointing at Jedo.

“Nice to meet you.” Jedo lit up as he greeted them.

“My name is Kjelle, daughter of the Ylissean Shepherds, Sully and Stahl.” the armored woman explained, “Nah is a Manakete child of Captain Chrom's retainer, Frederick, and Yarne is the last of his kind, the Taguels, and the son of the youngest Shepherd, Ricken.”

“Nice to meet you.” Nah curtsied.

“S-so you're not dangerous?” Yarne shrieked.

“Well only if you are a Seru Monster. Then we'll kick your ass to kingdom come!” Goombella said as she practiced some moves.

“Puera! Is everything okay?” Luigi asked the girl.

“So the Noire look-a-like is one of your own men?” Kjelle asked, her eyes widened.

“She's Miyako's daughter. The oldest of the children of the twin dragons.” Starlow explained.

“Who's Noire? She sounds like a beaut.” Bowser said as he checked the other children for injuries.

“Papa Zola pushed me away... If it means what I think it means... Papa Zola must be in danger! We need to warn Mama! I don't want to lose my Papa!!” Puera began to cry.

“Don't worry. Your mother and uncle, Rioci, are with Princess Peach on an excursion to rescue them. Who grabbed you guys and why?” Muyoko asked.

Luigi was reporting back to the princess in Italian.

“It was... Justine and Gilbert. But they weren't alone. That Zeto guy from earlier found us and grabbed everyone. I remember Papa Zola telling me how proud he was to raise me under all the wars in my lifetime, before he dropped me.” Puera began to snivel, “I don't want Papa Zola to die! He and the other Papas helped me along so much!”

“Puera, pray for the safety of your Papa. Your love for him is just as admirable than your mother's love for everyone in Hoshido.” Meta explained to her.

“Yes. The children must pray. They're activating the Genesis Tree for Dimble Woods!” Terra piped up.

As Muyoko planted the seed with Vivian's help, Caruban began to rapidly rot and decompose into the soil. As everyone prayed, the Genesis Tree activated as it grew just as rapidly with the help of the children's prayers, the prayers of Kjelle, Nah, and Yarne, and the combination of the Ra-Seru's power. The Mist was being pushed away.

“Heh! Piece of cake!” Peasley grinned.

“Hold that thought!” Mule snapped, “That means the Seru-Kai is growing stronger. The next time we plant a Genesis Seed in this realm will be much more challenging for you all. Remember that!”

“Hey!” Peasley pouted.

“So if they're going way into the Mist, who exactly is taking them? The only ones to make it out of the Mist are the six of us, unless...” Bowser began to speak up.

“Monsieur Broque!” Nah gasped.

“That's right. Monsieur Broque was wearing a Seru but he actually guided us to safety.” Yarne followed Nah's surprise up with another awed statement.

“Whoever is trying to find these children's parents, they're probably using Monsieur Broque as a guide!” Kjelle nodded.

“Oh yeah. That guy...” Bowser laughed nervously.

“Something wrong?” Luigi asked.

“He and I fought a couple times, but we should be okay...” Bowser laughed nervously once again.

“As long as he's trustful, we should probably look forward to seeing the Princess returns safely with Miyako and Rioci's spouses.” Vivian smiled.

“Papa...” Puera murmured.

“Welcome to Ylisstol!” Monsieur Broque chimed in, “Zis is zee old 'ome of zee Princess Lucina et Princess Cyntia.”

“This is Ylisstol? This looks completely different than what I remembered.” Rioci said looking around in shock and horror.

The kingdom looked alien. The sky was almost like the wall of a giant wolf from the inside, breathing in and out with short breaths. The walls had veins and the floors felt gummy, as if they were walking over rancid meat. Aside from the Mist, Ylisstol did not look like it was a man-made civilization at this point.

“Monsieur Broque?” Alice asked, “Are you sure this is the place Lucina and Cynthia came from?”

“Oui, Monsieur Mario.” Broque replied, very certain, “'Oever, zee interior decorating went into a bit of a decay since I met zee Duke of Rosanne here wit zee two girls and zeir company.”

Elise and Sakura stopped for a bit.

“Elise, what's wrong?” Owain asked worryingly.

“Sakura?” Miyako showed the same concern.

“Everyone, do you hear that?” Elise asked.

“There's someone here. Someone's crying for help!” Sakura said, holding onto Elise in worry.

“They're right!” Ophelia gasped, “Within the walls of the ruins of Ylisstol are the cries for the help from strangers!”

“Good God, there's someone here?!” Mario said in shock and horror.

“Help...”

Everyone turned, looking for where the noise was coming from.

They found the source, a man looking familiar to Owain was pulling Princess Peach's arm.

“Eeeek!” Princess Peach gasped.

Princess Peach pulled back. The man's grip however was weak, almost like he was losing his strength.

“That looks like... Vaike!” Owain gasped.

“Good lord! He's within these walls!” Mario gasped.

“I hope this isn't what happened to Yukimura and the others...” Princess Peach said beginning to cry.

“Hurry! Let's pull him out!” Elise turned to Sakura.

“Right!” Sakura agreed with Elise.

The two girls ran up and attempted to pull Vaike out.

“I wouldn't do zat if I were mes filles petites.” Monsieur Broque said as he pulled the girls back.

“But why! He's trapped!” Elise looked at Monsieur Broque with desperation.

“If you pull 'im out, 'e will die.” Monsieur Broque explained, “Zee Seru in my body 'as been warning me greatly zat zis is no ordinary town. Zis kingdom is unfortunately possessed by a Seru. A simulated Seru in fact.”

“You mean... Everyone here? The townspeople... The noble soldiers... They're all fused to this simulated Seru?” Princess Peach asked even more in horror.

“Zis kingdom... Is what 'as happened to zee great dragon Grima zat Justine et Gilbert worshiped, to be exact.” Monsieur Broque continued, “I can tell. Zere six eyes watching over us.”

Everyone looked up as the sky's 'clouds' rolled over to show six pupils looking down on the town.

“Oh my...” Princess Peach gasped.

“This is what Justine and Gilbert have done to the hands that feed them! Watch and learn, as these vagabonds are truly monstrous beings, not fit to be called sentient anymore!” Owain snarled.

“Let's search for Yukimura... Hopefully he's not among these people!” Princess Peach nodded.

Continuing on their search, Owain was becoming more and more uneasy when they entered the castle.

“Honey, hold my hand if you're scared. We're going to be fine.” Elise said.

“My beautiful Elise, you say such sweet and gentle words, however...” Owain frowned, “This place was my home and after seeing what those monsters did to my real family, this place will forever haunt me regardless of your actions.”

“Odin...” Elise began crying, “I hate it when you're like this... but I understand. This place I can't even imagining happening to Windmire.”

“Owain? Is that you?”

Owain paused as they heard that voice.

A pouch within Grima/Ylisstol opened up and Owain gasped. A blonde haired woman protecting her dark haired husband wearing the clothes of a Sword Master revealed themselves.

“Mother!” Owain began to cry.

“Princess Lissa?” Elise gasped.

“Oh Owain... I'm so sorry we failed you.” the father coughed as he spoke.

“We didn't want to let you see us like this, but we learned of your mission to find the family of your wife, Princess Elise of Nohr.” the mother, Princess Lissa began to speak, her voice trying not to sound like she's in tremendous pain.

“Princess Lissa! What's wrong? Can you see us?” Elise asked.

“Unfortunately no...” Lissa explained, “The Mist combined with Grima engulfing us has blinded everyone in the town, this even includes us. Listen, it is a good thing that you came here in such short notice.”

“What? Why?” Sakura asked.

“Virion, the Duke of Rosanne and the husband of Justine is with her former concubines. Every now and then another force possesses them. They're named Hari. They speak of the past, present, and future. They will also know where exactly Justine has taken Elise's in-laws.” the father began to explain.

“They're deeper within the castle, in the dungeons.” Lissa replied, “Lon'qu and I have tried to stay sane with this tremendous pain that we endure every day. We've figured when Hari visits. We send our prayers that you have found a safe haven... You, Lucina, Cynthia... Everyone.”

“Thank God Luigi didn't come with us. He'd faint at the idea of entering the dungeons.” Mario shook his head. He tried to lighten the mood to no success.

“Looks like we have to head into the dungeon... Odin?” Rioci asked.

“Before I come with you guys... I want to speak with my parents...” Owain said frowning.

“Oh, Odin... I'm so sorry.” Elise cried.

“I'm just glad Lucina and Cynthia didn't come with us. They would be devastated.” Owain replied.

“Owain, we have so much to speak to you about.” Lon'qu said.

“Monsieur Broque, please keep an eye on him.” Miyako said, “The Seru in this place could attack us.”

“Oui, Mademoiselle!”

“I'll stay with Odin as well. Me and Ophelia can protect him.” Elise said.

“I never met the legendary Lissa of Ylisse before, but... Regardless of her condition, I wished to meet her. I will be with my father to ensure he is safe on his conversation with her.” Ophelia frowned.

“I'll heal you...” Sakura said as she followed Rioci and Miyako along with Peach and Mario, as well as a curious Alice that followed them.

“And my Danmaku can protect you all.” Alice nodded.

“Thank you...” Princess Peach said.

It took them a couple stairs down to find the dungeons. Sakura shrieked at each horror she found in the walls, each one talking in fear that Justine and Gilbert came to visit, and sighs of relief that they weren't here to torture them.

“This is not a good sign. It's getting darker and darker here.” Rioci cried.

“Shanghai! Hourai!” Alice clapped her hands. The two dolls lit up the area for Rioci and Miyako to see, however it looked more and more they were entering through the entrails of a beast more than entering through a dungeon used for torture.

“Thank you, Alice.” Miyako said. Her heart was actually racing.

“Miyako! Are you okay?” Rioci asked.

“I'm... I'm fine. I just... Am afraid one of these faces would be one of our friends. In fact... Some of these faces resemble the children of my family's retainers.” Miyako said, pointing to some of the moving hands that were in the walls.

“See? This one has pumpkin-colored hair, but he looks exactly like Asugi... Saizou's son!” Miyako began tearing up.

“Oh Gods!” Rioci shrieked in horror.

“And that girl with the red hair... She looks like Severa's daughter with Keaton... Caeldori!” Miyako said as she screamed.

Sakura began to cry when she saw one of the other faces, a dark haired woman.

“Rhajat! What are you doing here?! Not my Rhajat!!” Sakura began bawling.

“Sakura! It's not her...” Rioci tried to assure her, holding Sakura in his arms.

“I don't want to be here anymore!” Sakura cried, “Not when they took Rhajat!”

“My... name... is not... Rhajat...” the woman hissed.

“Who are you?” Miyako asked.

“I... am Tharja... I once worshipped Gilbert and Justine... I thought they would get me out of a mundane life... They lied... They both did...” the woman replied.

“Tharja... Please forgive my sister, Sakura. She had a daughter with beautiful pink hair like hers that otherwise looked just like you. She saw your face and thought that Justine and Gilbert took her daughter as well.” Miyako explained.

“You even sound like Justine... I can tell you are not however.” Tharja sighed, “This cursed land. I want to just rot here and die. The pain engulfing this body could make a sane man a rabid animal by now... I was separated from my husband Libra, and my daughter, Noire.”

“We'll tell her if we see her again that you miss her.” Miyako assured her.

“Don't. She'll only cry knowing what really happened to the powerful witch named Tharja.” Tharja said, “I know you mean well. That's why you will never be Justine no matter how you speak with that pretty little voice of yours.”

“Tharja...” Miyako murmured.

“I pray to the Gods above now that someone puts me out of this misery... I am starting to sound like my pretty little pet, Libra now. What has happened to me, Miyako? Have I gone mad?” Tharja laughed.

“How do you know my name?” Miyako gasped.

“I heard your brother Rioci use it. Duh.” Tharja frowned, “Anyway, don't let me waste your time. You're not here for me, you're here for Virion, the Duke of Rosanne.”

“Tharja... Someday, I hope we can meet again, when you're no longer suffering.” Miyako said sadly.

“Miyako... Don't say stupid things like that. My suffering will end when Grima breaths its last breaths.” Tharja coughed.

“I understand.” Miyako looked back at Rioci.

As they moved deeper into the dungeon, Rioci, Sakura, and Miyako caught up with Princess Peach, Mario, and Alice as they found three pouches of flesh all in a circle.

“This is the deepest we'll go. Are you sure this isn't a trick made by Justine and Gilbert to trap us here?” Alice asked as she crossed her arms.

“I don't know. There aren't any Seru attacking us here despite the excessive amount of Mist here.” Mario observed.

“Well, if this is up to me, I would be warning everyone to leave as soon as trouble hits us.”

“Jus...tine?...”

Miyako shrieked as one of the pouches opened up, revealing a sky blue haired archer with a fancy cravat set on green fire.

“Who are you?!” Sakura shrieked, “Let me help you out of that fire!”

“Non, mademoiselle! This is the Hari of the Past sending me a message to you all!” Virion coughed.

“You're hurting... Please!” Sakura began to cry.

“My dear Sakura, do not worry. The pain I am feeling is not from the pleasantly warm sensation you call a fire. This pain is once again from Grima, and my own self heartbroken from all the suffering my wife Justine caused all the Ylissean Shepherds.”

“You must be the Duke of Rosanne. Tell me, what is this 'Hari' telling you exactly?” Alice asked.

“They are telling me of your pasts. They told me your name, and how you all came to be here. Long ago, you guys never knew the Mist would be a threat to your lives... Princess Peach, you and Mario...” Virion began to speak up.

“Yes?” Princess Peach asked.

“You never had a lot of threats that tackled multiple realms. Aside from the few realm-threatening situations you've come across, your only worry was Bowser.” Virion continued.

“How did you know that?” Mario asked.

“Hari also learned... that you have come across many people from other realms to guide you. Four of which are Muyoko, Cherry Nitori, Boss Editor and TNTtimelord. They all admire your romance, Dear Mario.”

“I see...” Mario gasped.

Miyako kept quiet as Virion's head turned towards her. It was obvious that Virion is blind and that this movement could severely hurt him, but she couldn't help but pause.

“Rioci and Miyako, the twin dragons that ended the Nohr-Hoshido War and brought the kingdom of Valla to its former glory. Despite your appearances revealing to be a sign of bad luck, everyone still reveres you, your family all adore you, and most importantly, you have went down in history as the heroes of your story. Even then, your realm came to a horrible end on the part of Justine and Gilbert.” Virion murmured.

“S-Sir...” Rioci gulped.

“Little Sakura and Princess Elise despite all this still stand by your side. Sakura lost Hoshido first, as the people of Valla are mercilessly.”

“And what about Gensokyo!” Alice piped up.

Virion's fire returned to a vibrant yellow hue rather than a green hue.

“Hari stopped giving me messages. Apparently this Hari of the Past can't look further out into the pasts of realms so far away from his reach. This sadly includes Gensokyo.” Virion replied as he let out a deep exhale.

“No way...” Alice frowned.

“I'm sorry, everyone. This Seru has been draining my energy for some time. I've only been able to stay sane because I know that someday, Lucina and Cynthia can finally meet their parents again in a better realm.” Virion said as he rested back on the flesh.

“So if that's the Duke of Rosanne, we can figure out what the concubines have to say next.” Mario explained.

“Oh Virion...” Sakura cried, “If only you didn't die if we pulled you out of here.”

“Don't worry about me...” Virion coughed, “I'm relieved you weren't messengers from Justine. That Miyako girl you brought with you however, sounded an awful lot like her. I'm just glad it was just Miyako though.”

“Forgive me, Virion...” Miyako said looking away.

“No! Don't ask for forgiveness. I'm just relieved I got to hear her voice again, especially a voice that sounded sane.” Virion laughed.

“Shall we go back and talk with her concubines?” Miyako asked.

“Yes... Please do, hear what they have to say.” Virion said before he went back to a state of sleep.

Miyako sighed. She turned to the next face over, Miyako gulped.

“I... I am not Justine. So please... Let me see your face.” Miyako began to speak.

“Miyako, that's not a good way to introduce yourself.” Mario crossed his arms.

“I know. I can tell from the warmth in your heart, Princess Miyako of Hoshido.”

The second pouch opened up, and there was a white haired sword master within the walls with dark armor on. He looked much older than Virion, but then again it could be due to the Seru that is draining him.

“Blue fire? That's an intense fire. Please, let me help you!” Sakura cried.

“Calm your staff hand, Princess Sakura. Ah... You remind me of a younger Say'ri, scared and confused of the world around her. But I have not awakened to reminisce about the past. I have come here to send a message to you from Hari of the Present.” the man coughed.

“Didn't we already talk to Hari?” Alice asked groaning.

“Hari has said...” the man continued, “That the Mist has taken many lives from both the realm of Rioci and Miyako, and the realm of Mario and Princess Peach. By sheer luck, you guys have met in the Mushroom Kingdom when the Mist is building up in that realm. With the kingdoms of Nohr, Hoshido, and Valla both destroyed as the morale of the armies, Rioci and Miyako are counting on more information on the former realm of Legaia. Evil has been rebuilding the Seru-Kai, but for what purpose you all don't know yet.”

“Wait, how do you know that?” Alice asked.

“Let me continue...” the man bellowed angrily, “Princess Peach, Mario. Bowser, a former enemy of your people has even come to your aid in getting rid of the Mist. This alliance you built has benefitted you as of right now, protecting your brother Luigi in the Mist as well as your friends.”

“And?” Alice asked.

“Miyako, Rioci, more and more you are learning of the realm of Legaia. Before you only had a glimmer of what Legaia once was, thanks to visitors from Conkram. You are paying attention to the events of the now though, learning more on what happened to Legaia.” the man said.

“I see.” Rioci said looking back at Miyako.

“Is Queen Minea alive and well?” Miyako asked.

“Unfortunately, yes... and no.” the man said, “She had relayed messages from her daughter Noa. She is however very alive and well. Muyoko has been following her story.”

“And what about Gensokyo? Is everyone okay?” Alice asked.

The man paused, as his blue flame turned into a bright yellow hue instead, “I'm afraid Hari can not reach that far into the present of that realm.”

“Sir!” Sakura cried.

“I am the one... named Yen'fay of Chon'sin...” the man coughed, “I apologize for not introducing myself to you guys sooner. I am happy to thank Hari for telling me of your arrival.”

“What happened to you?” Sakura cried.

“Even the most clever and intellegent of tacticians could not figure a proper strategy to get everyone out of Grima's tight grasp. Had Justine and Gilbert not listened to King Validar of Plegia... then perhaps I would have ended my relationship with them in better terms.” Yen'fay replied.

“Yen'fay...” Sakura ran into Rioci's arms to continue crying further, “I'm sorry I could not help you!”

“This isn't the time to worry about me. My time... I can tell it will end shortly. I pray for a day I can finally... rest in peace.” Yen'fay replied, taking another deep exhale.

“This means we're about to meet with the last concubine of Justine and the Hari of the Future.” Mario gulped.

“Are you afraid, Mario?” Rioci asked.

“Yeah... This fear in my gut. I probably shouldn't have it. I've dealt with danger before but something tells me that this Hari person is going to tell me something I'll fear worse than Luigi fears ghosts.” Mario murmured.

“Don't worry, Mario. No matter what happens, we're here for you.” Princess Peach explained.

“Thanks Princess. But that's not what I mean...” Mario murmured, “This fear, is something much worse than death. I can just feel it.”

Miyako turned to the last pouch.

“...I am the Dragon of Dawn, Princess and General of Hoshido, and now a scared mother and wife. Please, sir... Tell me... Will I ever see my husbands again?” Miyako asked.

The pouch opened up to a red flame, a man in it, a sword wielding hero with dark blue hair was there.

“I am Priam, descendant of the Hero of Dawn. I am relaying a message from the Hari of the Future.” the man chanted.

“Oh wow...” Princess Peach gasped.

“Do not worry, Miyako. You will be reunited with your loved ones, but be prepared for more hardships for you and Rioci that Princess Peach and Mario have to share with you all. You will depend more and more on the Ra-Seru, but their time will come to an end. Even they won't save you from the events that will transpire in the Mushroom Kingdom.” Priam explained.

“And Bowser?” Mario asked.

“Bowser will be an ally to you even when the Mist has cleared. But be careful. Bowser has shadows following him wherever he goes. One of these shadows Alice will cast a light on. Her name is Yuuka.” Priam continued.

“Oh dear. If I am involved, that means Hari can at least see into the future and see me returning to Gensokyo, right?” Alice asked.

“I am sorry...” Priam said as his red flame turned a bright yellow hue, “but Hari could not reach far into the future of Gensokyo. It is too far away for them.”

“Is there any other message? What about the future of Grima?” Princess Peach asked.

“Now that is a very specific question... Hari told us that Grima will be destroyed very shortly.” Priam said, “It is a good thing that you all can leave Ylisstol in time.”

“Wait, what?” Princess Peach gasped.

“You have plenty of time to leave.” Priam said, “But you need to leave soon, or else you'll be caught in the fire. Go! Rescue the others.”

“R-right!” Mario gulped.

“Priam... Could I douse that fire on you at least?” Sakura asked.

“No... that will only heal Grima. Let it begin to die.” Priam snapped.

“Oh!” Sakura wept.

“I'm... sorry... It's hard for me to keep my temper in this Gods-forsaken place.” Priam explained.

Mario looked at each and every person.

“Let's reunite with Owain and the others.” Mario explained.

“Right.” Rioci and Miyako nodded.

“Gensokyo is far away from the Mist... Chances are that Gensokyo is staying the same regardless if we are around or not...” Alice murmured to herself melancholic.

As Mario and the others walked up the stairs, they saw Owain and Elise bidding Lissa and Lon'qu adieu.

“They said they can just feel that today is the day Grima will die.” Ophelia said, but she tilted her head puzzled, “But I don't know what that means and why they sound... relieved and depressed about it at the same time.”

“It was like zey were saying zeir last good-bye to Owain et Elise, giving zem zeir blessings et praising Ophelia to growing up into a fine woman despite confusing times.” Monsieur Broque said, “Even though they smiled, there was a mix of sadness and joy in their voice.”

“I wonder if anyone else is feeling that way.” Mario asked.

“Hari told Priam we have to get out of Ylisstol, so we should do that first.” Princess Peach asked.

“Yeah, maybe if Grima is destroyed, we can see everyone happy again!” Princess Elise made a cheerful grin.

“We'll have to see what happens.” Rioci sighed.

As Mario and the others got out of Ylisstol, they turned and gasped. They saw what looked like Justine and Gilbert riding the same monster that was destroying the gates to Princess Peach's castle.

“What the...” Mario gasped in horror.

“Pathetic. The Shepherds of Ylisse told them everything!” Gilbert snarled.

“Juggernaut, get rid of this eyesore of a kingdom once and for all. We'll rebuild Grima with the Seru Brides we captured.” Justine commanded, pointing her hand at the Grima-engulfed Ylisse.

The horrifying part of it all is that the same sounds came with hog-like squealing before it's mouth laser shot over Grima, the dragon going aflame. The horror of it all was that no matter how large the dragon was, nothing was left of Ylisstol nor of Grima. Not even the dungeon that held Virion and the others was left. It was as if someone destroyed a whole civilization. There weren't any ruins either.

“It's like they wiped Ylisstol off the face of the map...” Princess Peach gasped.

Owain collapsed into tears.

Elise comforted Owain in her arms, as Owain's cries echoed throughout the emptiness of what was once Ylisstol. Rioci and Miyako turned away. Not even Monsieur Broque spoke up as the Mist continued to engulf the blank slate made out of Grima and Ylisstol.

Yukimura awoke in a dark room, and the screaming of torture victims.

He looked around the room. He sighed. Everyone was in one piece. Zola and Izana were in one corner with him, while Niles, Scarlet, Charlotte, and Peri were in the other corner. Dwyer and Shigure were in a third corner.

“Where are we?” Yukimura thought to himself, eyes looking across the room for something off in the room. He then noticed it right away after observing Zola. His hat... It didn't look like it belonged to him at all. Yukimura looked at himself at a mirror up above him. They were all in strange clothes. They were constricting, almost form-fitting clothes. Yukimura could barely breath in it, let alone budge.

“Bring out the first Seru Bride.” a voice beckoned.

He turned. A man, similar in appearance to Zeto came in, though this time he was much heavier than Zeto as well as wearing teal rather than red. He grabbed Shigure.

“Ngh... Shigure?” Dwyer awoke from the movement.

“Now, now, you're next.” the man grinned as Zeto came in and carried Dwyer next.

“Huh? Wait! What is this?! Someone? Anyone?!” Shigure gasped.

“Knock them out!” a voice yelled from the distance.

Yukimura gasped. The texture of their outfits looked like stone, but it was as if someone made a bridal dress out of it. He looked down at himself. He squirmed.

“Justine and Gilbert wanted to bring forth another Juggernaut. We'll give them that same Juggernaut.” the man laughed with Zeto.

“Dohati, you jest. Remember, we have to call it 'Grima II'.” Zeto said grinning.

“Such a shame they pushed off the younger members away. They could have lived happily together in the serenity of the Mist.”

As Dohati and Zeto's voices faded, Yukimura remembered exactly what happened.

Ame was climbing up a tree in the Toad Village. He was always enjoying playing chase with family, and today it was Yukimura's turn.

“Papa Yuki! Try to catch me!” Ame laughed.

“Ame! You're going to get yourself hurt up there!” Yukimura shrieked scared for Ame's life.

“C'mon Papa! It's easy!” Ame laughed, climbing up a branch.

“Ame, don't you jump now! Your mother would be very upset!” Yukimura warned him with a stern voice.

“Wheee!” Ame laughed. Yukimura screamed as he tried to catch Ame.

“Ame!” Yukimura scolded. Ame laughed until he saw the concerned glare in his eyes. He then went quiet.

“I'm sorry, Ame. I know you're careful but there some days I worry we'll never see each other again.” Yukimura explained to his son with a soft voice, his expression also softening.

“Papa Yuki worries a lot. He's just like Puera.” Ame pouted, “Don't worry Papa. I won't worry you anymore.”

Yukimura smiled.

“Ame looks an awful lot like Yukimura...” a female Toad whispered, “Just look at how they hold their ponytails together.”

“Yeah...” murmured Wendy, “but Ame doesn't wear glasses or have any stubble for a beard.”

“He's got his hair color... and skin-tone too. I wonder if people will tell them apart when he gets older.” the female Toad smiled.

“Don't bet on it! Ame has pink eyes, and Yukimura doesn't look like the type to enjoy climbing trees and acting like a wild animal!” Wendy pouted, crossing her arms.

A few minutes later, someone let out a scream, as just up in the sky, a flight of Wind-based Seru flew from the skies. Yukimura was puzzled. The Seru would have been docile by now, the Mist is no longer in the Toad Village. That's when he recognized Zeto again.

“Where are your Ra-Seru heroes now?” Zeto laughed.

“Ame, let's go inside. Now.” Yukimura said as he latched onto his son tightly.

“Papa?” Ame blinked.

As Yukimura tried to run inside, he saw that the Seru already grabbed him.

“AHHH!” Ame shrieked.

He saw that unsurprisingly he wasn't alone in this capture. He turned. Zola was latching onto Puera, Izana Hotaru... and Rioci's wives and Niles were holding onto their children tightly.

“Ame...” Yukimura cried, “I'm... sorry...”

He was noticing what was going on. He'd rather Ame not be in his arms immediately at this point.

As Yukimura let go of Ame, Zola shrieked.

“Yukimura! What are you doing?!”

“This isn't right. I don't know what Zeto's plan with us is, but we shouldn't involve our children in this!” Yukimura explained.

Zola let go of Puera, getting the picture of what Yukimura was saying and Izana followed suit. It was inevitable, but Rioci's spouses eventually dropped their children as well. Surprisingly, they all dropped at the same spot... A decaying tree in Dimble Woods where four other humanoids seemed to be hiding out in.

“Please... Whoever you are... Please protect him...” Yukimura wept.

“Ngh. Those two resisted severely. I think it's best to make them submit before we continue with letting our new Juggernaut absorb the energy of these lovely faces.” Zeto frowned.

Dohati gave Yukimura a menacing glance, “Now, you're faithful to your wife despite the other men she's slept with in the past. Let's see if you'll be just as faithful to your new head of the house.”

Yukimura spat in Dohati's face. Dohati scowled.

“You should have dropped us to our deaths.” Yukimura said coldly.

“Ah... I remember your description, the former tactician of the great Hoshido kingdom, a worthy husband to the Princess of Hoshido as well. But don't worry. Life with your new general will be a splendid one. You don't even have to think. We'll make sure of it.” Dohati said as he slapped Yukimura.

“Muyoko!” Tabitha shrieked back at the Mushroom Kingdom meanwhile as he ran up towards Muyoko and Luigi.

“We know. Raynof from Legaia 2 popped up like an unwanted pimple. And like the acne problem we face, he's more than likely coming back.” Muyoko explained.

“We should also find Yukimura and the others.” Vivian explained, “After all, Miyako and Rioci will be upset.”

“I have an idea. We'll lure Raynof in with his new Seru monster in this town.” Shelly explained.

“What? That's a terrible idea!” Tabitha snapped.

“Well, you don't have to like it.” Shelly frowned.

“Who's going to be the guinea pig? Muyoko asked.

“Now that is a good question...” Phoebe said as she dressed like what looked like broccoli.

“Huh? What are you doing, Phoebe?!” Tabitha shrieked, “You're dressed like a Genesis Tree!”

“Well, correction: It's Broccoli.” Phoebe said.

“Let someone else dress up as Broccoli...” a voice beckoned.

Everyone turned and gasped.

“Camilla!” Muyoko shrieked.

“But why?” Shelly asked worried.

“I have lost my home... my husband... my daughter... A spring flower like Phoebe doesn't deserve to sacrifice herself to the Gods...” Camilla explained as she turned away coldly.

“Aunt Camilla, this is dangerous, even for you. Please! I don't want to lose you here either!” Nina came in and hugged her.

“Aww, I don't want to lose you too...” Camilla said as her nieces ran in to hug her.

“Lady Miyako told us of how beautiful you are. Don't sacrifice your beauty over something like this.” Puera said as she hugged her as well. Hotaru and Ame also came in for the hug.

“Awww, how sweet.” a laugh echoed throughout Toad Village.

Something crawled, a green three legged creature danced closer, “But there is no need to sacrifice yourself for Brave Raynof!”

“All hail Brave Raynof! All hail Raynof the Brave!” something echoed in the plains.

The creature roared. It was time for another battle.

“Crap!” Muyoko roared, “He's riding Berserker! Guys, be careful!” Muyoko explained.

“Right...” Peasley nodded.

“Wait. We heard Raynof's voice, but I haven't seen him anywhere!” Goombella shrieked.

“It's because Raynof has fused with the evil Seru known as Berserker. You should do your best to avoid its breath attacks.” Palma explained.

“And now things are really getting interesting...” Bowser grinned.
The battle was odd, Muyoko dodged each attack, but when it wasn't perfect, her legs were beginning to rot out. Luigi was freaking out.

“Muyoko! Stay still!” Luigi cried.

“It's okay Luigi. Give her some Tonic Water!” Starlow explained.

“Right.” Luigi nodded.

The Tonic Water healed Muyoko's rot, but it was still bad.

“We're here!” Muyoko said as she used Thunder Punch on Berserker again.

“Wait!” Vivian paused.

“What is it?” Muyoko asked.

“I caught Nighto earlier when we were in Dimble Woods. Let's see if Nighto would do anything.” Vivian said. She raised her arms as Meta emitted a red light. What came out of the ground was a one eyed blue and purple monster in a strange shell. As it squeaked, it emitted a strange vibration. Berserker screamed as did Raynof.

“Stop! I beg you!!” Raynof cried.

It was too late, by the time the vibrations ended, Berserker and Raynof collapsed onto the ground.

“Muyoko, that was close...” Ozma murmured.

“I know...” Muyoko coughed.

“How did you know to use Nighto?” Meta asked Vivian.

“Nighto had Hell's Music. It's a sound most Seru hate.” Vivian explained, “The Seru are reactionary... Not all of them, but if Seru react to the Mist, then Seru can react to music that most humans wouldn't even hear.”

“Ah...” Peasley relieved.

“It's such a shame, I died. Then you all wouldn't find out that Yukimura and the others are being fed to Grima in Plegia!”

Everyone turned to where Berserker once stood. Muyoko crossed her arms.

“Really now?” Tabitha asked.

The villagers looked over the corpse of Berserker.

“Oh...” Raynof frowned before he died.

“Dumbass shouldn't let out secrets before his last breath.” Matt laughed.

“Well, seeing they're in Plegia, I know that Mario and Princess Peach are more than likely on their way there with Owain.” Muyoko explained.

“We should go to Plegia. We may have a chance to save them.” Bowser explained.

“Wait, you're worried?” Luigi asked.

“Well yeah, not only is the Princess putting herself in danger, but Alice might die! There's no way we're gonna lose Alice.” Bowser yelled.

Owain glared at the Plegian castle right in front of them.

“Grima stands... My sword hand twitches.” Owain hissed.

“Owain, what they did to Ylisstol... Don't be reckless because of it!” Elise shrieked.

“Elise, listen to me. Owain is pissed. I would be too. His home, his family, his own memories of those things... All of them were destroyed. And they're going to do something terrible to my husbands... Rioci's spouses... and Dwyer and Shigure as well! Azura's legacy is going to be destroyed. My memories of Jakob are still here, but I can't reminisce with them about him anymore!” Miyako explained.

“Miyako... We know...” Sakura said.

“Hey. You guys can't do this alone.” Muyoko declared.

“Mario! How was the search?” Luigi asked.

“Well, we can confirm one thing. Plegia holds the answers.” Mario said looking up at the sky.

“Let's go in there.” Muyoko declared.

Muyoko and the others ran inside the dark laboratory in the cellars. Miyako and Rioci noticed something strange as they moved down there.

“Bridal wear?” Muyoko gasped.

“This is humiliating for them...” Rioci frowned.

“Wait, Yukimura!” Miyako cried. They saw Justine and Gilbert were preparing Yukimura.

“His hair is such a beautiful color...” Justine laughed, “I can see why he's a keeper. I hope Grima will love him as much as you did.”

Miyako flinched as Justine licked Yukimura's cheek. Yukimura oddly enough didn't react to Justine.

“Everyone, we'll take care of Justine and Gilbert!” Muyoko yelled.

“What?” Miyako shrieked, “Did you see what she did?!”

“I know, but these look like Sim-Seru possessed idgits. I don't want you to die!” Luigi said as he prepared himself.

“Wait! Before we do that...” Terra murmured in Luigi's hands. The Ra-Seru have lightened up, the lights they emitted went towards Yukimura, whose seemed to awaken from a daze, his Seru Bridal Dress slowly disappearing.

“M-Miyako?! Miyako!!” Yukimura gasped.

He ran to Miyako and hugged her.

“Yukimura! Thank Gods...” Rioci said as he ran to hug him.

“No... You Ra-Seru Warriors are not supposed to be here. You should have surrendered sweetly to Raynof.” Gilbert roared.

He and Justine then danced together, fusing into a strange horror.

Muyoko and the others read over their blocks 'Grima'.

“You gotta be kidding me!” Luigi groaned.

Miyako and the others were getting the others out of the Seru Bride.

“Agh... Maybe I'll use Kemaro?” Muyoko asked.

“We shouldn't be depending on other Seru Magic!” Ozma shrieked.

“Ah...” Muyoko said.

“We'll just have to fight.” Vivian said.

The fight lasted a couple moments of time, as Bowser escorted each person down, and each person waking up as if unaware of what was happening to them before. First up was Zola.

“Ngh... That Dohati bastard... What did he do to us?!” Zola hissed, holding his head up.

“AGH!” Bowser yelled, closing his eyes at the sight of a slightly undressed Zola.

“Nice to see you too, you overgrown reptile.” Zola huffed angrily.

“Zola!” Miyako ran up to hug him.

“Ah! Lady Miyako. It's so good to see you too. How did you happen to find us?” Zola asked.

“Plegia itself is a Mist Generator for this realm. I noticed through the strange clouds puffing outward and moving more and more towards the ground like a fog.” Rioci explained.

“Miyako... I did something terrible on the way here. I dropped Puera when they grabbed us...” Zola looked away upset.

“Don't worry. Muyoko and the others saved them. Luigi notified the Princess after they found them and brought the second Genesis Tree to life in Dimble Woods.” Miyako said, “But I'm just glad you're alive too!”

Miyako hugged Zola tightly.

Bowser helped Izana down next. Izana awoke as he saw Miyako again.

“Well, well, well. Aren't you a little too short to be a child of Grima?” Izana said with a cheeky grin on his face.

Bowser turned away.

“Izana!” Miyako shrieked, “I'm so glad you're alive!”

“Well, of course I'm alive silly! You came to the rescue! Ah, this is just like old times. I remember when Zola locked me up like this and disguised as me to get to you!” Izana said looking at Zola.

“Urk!” Zola reacted almost in shame.

“Glad to see how Zola felt during that time. In reality we were both scared out of our wits. Our bodies moved against our will and we both were knocked unconscious! Hopefully this time you don't fall in love with our captor this time either.” Izana cheerfully brushed it off, hugging Zola.

“Aren't you upset that they would have taken Hotaru as well?” Rioci asked concerned.

“Well, yeah but as soon as I saw Yukimura drop Ame down, I was ready to do the same. Though, it looked like Zeto was counting on us doing such a thing.” Izana pondered, “I wonder why they all landed in the same location with the same four faces?”

“They were going to be eaten by a Seru down there if it wasn't for Muyoko and the others.” Rioci replied.

Next up was Niles. Niles was waking up, with his one eye opening up to Rioci helping Niles down gently.

“Well you acted quickly. I hope you're just as quick when that dragon's on a rampage.” Niles said glaring back at Grima.

“Niles... Oh thank the Gods.” Rioci cried.

“I'm glad you became the knight in shining armor in this story.” Niles said, ruffling Rioci's hair.

“Yay! Niles!” Elise giggled as she joined the group hug.

“Now listen, next time I don't chicken out. There were worst things that happened in the past but I don't want to be that same situation again. Being unable to run away physically is just as bad as emotionally.” Niles turned away.

“Niles...” Rioci hugged Niles.

“Now c'mon. The girls are going to be just as upset they would have lost their mothers. Hurry before Grima gets to them.” Niles ushered Rioci to Bowser rescuing Scarlet.

As he did so Scarlet unsurprisingly punched Bowser.

“OW!!” Bowser groaned.

“I thought you were Grima...” Scarlet replied, “Or one of those Seru-Mist worshiping creeps!”

“Scarlet!” Rioci and Miyako cried in unison.

“Hey, Rioci! Thank Gods...” Scarlet said as she hugged them both, “I didn't like how those rocks I was stuck wearing looked on me. Glad to finally be out of that shell.”

“That hurt, lady!” Bowser roared.

“Don't lean so close to me, idiot!” Scarlet snapped back.

“The others!” Sakura cried.

Bowser pulled Peri out next.

“...I could have eviscerated you all...” Peri groaned.

“Peri! Don't worry, it's me!” Rioci explained.

Peri began to cry, “Rioci, it was scary!”

“I know, Peri...” Rioci replied, whispering to Peri patiently.

“Usually the armor I wear is heavy, but that's because it's built to protect me! That dress was made to kill me, Rioci! I hate it!” Peri sobbed.

“It's okay honey. I hate the outfit as well.” Rioci smiled, relieved Peri was herself.

“Don't worry, Rioci. I'll defend myself again, so that way I don't have to depend on you!” Peri snapped back to her cheerfulness.

“That's a nice thought to have, but Peri. Sometimes it's okay to cry for help.” Rioci said as he helped Peri down.

The last spouse... Charlotte.

Bowser helped her out, but Charlotte was blushing.

“Oh Rioci! I was so frightened!” Charlotte gasped, “I was worried those big hands of that creepy old man were going to get me! I fainted from the shock and...”

“Are you sure you weren't resisting just a little bit?” Niles asked, raising a brow.

“Of course I was resisting!” Charlotte hissed, “But something hit me in the process, and that's why I'm awake now!”

“Oh Charlotte, I'm just relieved to see you alive and well...” Rioci said coming in to kiss Charlotte.

“And what happened to Portia? Aren't you worried for her too?!” Charlotte pushed Rioci off now concerned about her daughter.

“Don't worry, Charlotte.” Bowser laughed, “I carried her down as well. She was scared and confused, but she was safe in my arms.”

Charlotte gave Bowser a cold glare.

“We should get Shigure and Dwyer out next.” Princess Peach said.

“Agreed.” Yukimura said, “I saw them struggle the most before Dohati knocked me out.”

“They were first?” Charlotte pouted.

“Alright. Here goes...” Bowser gulped.

Shigure and Dwyer were pulled out together by Bowser and Jedo. Shigure and Dwyer both coughed.

“Lady Miyako... Lord Rioci...” Dwyer looked up as he hugged the both of them.

“We thought we were dead!” Shigure cried, “Dohati and Zeto grabbed us both, telling us about the plans for reviving a second Juggernaut.”

“We figured that was their plan.” Mario scowled.

“We need to shut down the machine before they actually fully activate. What's worse is that this machine is also a Mist Generator.” Shigure shrieked.

“Don't you mean what's better? With the Mist Generator destroyed, this realm would become Mist free!” Dwyer replied.

Shigure gave Dwyer a noogie as they both laughed.

“That's fine and dandy once Luigi and his team defeat Grima!” Mario turned towards the brawl.

But with the fight, Muyoko fainted at least once, with Luigi reviving her with a 1-Up Mushroom as she moved back up. She tried again to punch Grima with an Explosive Fist.

Vivian used Fire Blow combined with her Fiery Jinx attack. However, Goombella's attacks did the most damage, leaving Justine and Gilbert a strange mess.

It was taking long for the Ra-Seru to charge a magic attack, each 1-Up Mushroom used, each time a Mushroom was used to heal, what Nuts were used to heal as well... Muyoko then remembered that two Genesis Trees were planted, meaning Justine and Gilbert must have grown stronger in the process. Muyoko sighed. She wasn't getting anywhere with Justine and Gilbert without the abilities of Seru Magic, it looked like at first.

“Kemaro...” Muyoko whimpered.

Ozma groaned, “Muyoko, I told you, we can't depend on Kemaro's abilities.”

“I know, but... we weren't able to do much damage to it.” Muyoko frowned looking at Grima.

“I understand. Get a snack before we activate Kemaro's abilities.” Ozma sighed.

Muyoko took a swig of some Peach Faygo she somehow found in the castle as well as some Flaming Hot Funyuns she bought at the shop. Afterwards, she felt energized and ready to activate Kemaro.

Peasley stabbed Grima hard, but the piercing damage was insignificant.

“Muyoko! Now's the chance!” Peasley cried out.

“Huh? Peasley?” Muyoko blinked confused.

“Listen! Mule's been telling me of Ozma's plan. We can combine our energy and we can all use Kemaro's attack on it. Are you ready to get in sync?” Peasley asked.

Muyoko nodded, “Alright then. Let's do this!”

They chanted something together, and a ball of energy lit up. Grima turned as a giant rock pillar taller than the horrified beast was appeared. As it happened, it heard the snarls of a creature. The creature jumped down from the pillar unscathed from the gravity. It was small compared to Grima, a canid creature that reached Mario's height. He opened his mouth as a surprisingly huge needle struck out of it. As it shot out, Grima was pierced through, the dragon finally defeated.

Alice gasped. The twins separated out of the unholy fusion. As they did, Justine and Gilbert gasped as if they woke out of a daze as well.

“I saw... Everything...” Gilbert coughed as he was breathing dying breaths.

“Me too... I can't believe we did those horrible things to our own people...” Justine said looking at Gilbert.

“We'll reunite with them in the afterlife...” Gilbert looked back at Justine.

“I hope they can forgive us... for everything...” Justine laughed.

The both of them turned to dust.

“Everyone. Now is our chance to destroy the Mist Generator in Plegia! Hurry! Before Zeto and Dohati get here!” Meta exclaimed.

Everyone wearing a Ra-Seru, including Monsieur Broque lifted their arms as the Ra-Seru on their bodies summoned a beautiful light. Everyone prayed together as the Mist Generator began to rust over. Muyoko and the others gasped. The Mist Generator was destroyed from the inside out.

“Hey.” Peasley said worried.

“What's up Peasley?” Luigi asked.

“I hope this wasn't a trick made by Zeto and Dohati to destroy one of the Genesis Trees.” Peasley said.

“We should go check back at the Toad Village.” Mule said worried.

Everyone nodded as they left the castle of Plegia. After they left, what looked like a Ra-Seru rose up looking confused. It was destroyed also from the inside out.

“Papa Zola!” Puera cried out, racing the other children to hug him.

“My sweet child! I'm so glad Luigi and Bowser rescued you!” Zola twirled Puera about.

“We should have a party to celebrate our first victory with those Mist worshiping freaks of nature!” Izana smiled.

“I agree with Papa Izana!” Hotaru smiled.

“There's another announcement Mama has to make too.” Yukimura said as he hugged Miyako.

“What is it?” Ame asked.

“Izana, you might need to hold Zola up for this one.” Miyako explained.

“Huh? Why is that?” Zola said puzzled.

“Well, Zola, she's having another baby, and we just got the test results... You're the father.” Yukimura replied.

“This is the first child not to be born in Hoshido. You should be happy!” Izana said.

Zola fainted in Izana's arms.

“Papa? Papa!” Puera cried.

Princess Peach laughed, “I'm so happy that Zola is at least alive to know he'll be a father again.”

“Yeah, and the fact the baby might be born during a difficult time must be something they're used to by now.” Mario crossed his arms.

“What do you think, Mario. Should I be a madrina?” Princess Peach asked.

“What?! You already are uncomfortable with being a mom! What makes you think being a madrina will be any different?” Mario asked back alarmed by the question.

“Aww, Mario. They'll have a padrino that'll help me!” Princess Peach said snuggling Mario.

“Justine and Gilbert are dead. Our Mist Generator in the realm of the Sleeping Grima is destroyed. This is not a good sign.” Songi scowled, “I thought Raynof would distract them long enough.”

“I did too,” Yuuka giggled, “but we've grown stronger together, Songi. Look. The Second Genesis Tree awakened.”

Songi couldn't help but look back at the Sim Serus on their arms.

“Zeto and Dohati should try to kill them next. I am sure it makes for good punishment for removing a Mist Generator off of one realm if they aren't sitting on their butts.” Songi said.

“Maybe next time we shouldn't involve the twin dragons of Nohr and Hoshido.” Yuuka replied, “Maybe next time we actually target Princess Peach again.”

“That's too cliché.” Songi laughed, “You're supposed to be the more creative one, we should think of something!”

“Maybe we sick Elliot and Marienne on them already...” Yuuka said, “That might add some extra damage.”

“Now that's much better.” Songi laughed, “But after Zeto and Dohati show them what not to do first.”

TO BE CONTINUED...
Author's Notes: This took me days to finish. Thank God I finally finished this. I'll take a break so I can move my brother into the dorms one last time and I get my stuff out of there as well. I will also probably focus more on my art as well at that time. Once I get done with that I can brainstorm the next chapter. Enjoy this one, guys!
